    • @ImTheStrongest
      @ImTheStrongest 7 месяцев назад +2

      Nah. The control metal is really sensitive. Even a bullet will cause damage to a non-cracked control metal. The Control Metal is not as tough as the rest of the body. In the manga, Guyver 1 and 3 has been very lucky to not get their control metal damage. Also, the bad guys want the Guyver Unit so they always try to avoid hitting the control metal to not damage it. Even they know the Control Metal can easily be damage. Guyver 2 however is unlucky. His control metal was damage in an explosion. And then permanently destroyed after Guyver 1 punched it. The Guyver Suit looks awesome but their weakness being expose is stupid. I don't know what the Aliens were thinking when they made that suit. If the Guyver went up against someone who doesn't care for the Guyver, they're going to attack the Control Metal, constantly. They are going to exploit that weakness.
      Take a look at Star Wars's Death Star. Once people found out about its weakness, everyone target it.
      Then there is Superman. Lex Luther always exploit his weakness to Green Kryptonite and always uses it against him. Sadly, he always fails.
      The Guyvers are very lucky that everyone in their universe avoids the Control Metal.
      It's understandable to give a character a weakness. But have it be exploited to show that even though it's a weakness, the character could still get out of that predicament. Guyver 1 once got hit on the Control Metal and the Guyver disengage off of him and he passed out. Good thing his friends was there to protect him. If not for that, he would had gotten killed. But then again, the bad guys want the Guyver so they probably would had imprison him and wait for him to transform into the Guyver to remove his Control Metal. Which, he would had broken out after he transform into the Guyver and kill a bunch of them and escape. Crhonos is stupid.

      Yeah, that's what I thought too. But then in the 2005 anime, they mentioned that it was a weapon. And I was like, "Wait? What? That's not right? Or is it?" It's in episode 15, where Murakami was explaining the Guyver. In the OVA episode 11, Murakami just called it an armament, while in the 2005, Murakami called it a weapon. In the manga, I skipped the anime chapters. So I don't have those knowledge. I'll read it someday. Because in the manga, it had a story that the anime skipped where Sho's arm grew into another Sho.

      Rather than power rangers, its more like kamen rider. Both came from same company toei. If you never watch kamen rider yet, i recommend you kamen rider Black (1988) is the best kamen rider story ever exist, Its a series but if you are lazy to watch a series, you can watch shin kamen rider : prologue (1992) and kamen rider ZO (1993)

    I loved this movie as a kid. R rated power rangers. As a 9-10 yr old in the 90s this movie was great.

    • @boboboy8189
      @boboboy8189 7 месяцев назад

      Actually its more kamen rider than power rangers.
      Power rangers (super sentai) = for 6 - 10 years old kid
      Kamen rider = for 11 - 14 years old
      The plot also copying every kamen rider story for example secret organization want to control the world by using archeology alien tech and converting human soldier into monster soldier.
      Meanwhile power rangers plot mostly alien try to steal something from earth and there's giant alien to fight with giant robot
      You should watch guyver OVA, there's 4 episode. But choose the 90's version because 80's version stray from source material in episode 2. There's 2005 version with 26 episode but the animation is low budget and outdated

  • @Squiggly667

    This is why I keep saying to check out Psycho Goreman. It is truly R-rated Power Rangers. It combines the type of humor you'd find in Power Rangers with R-rated language and heaps of gore.

    • @boboboy8189
      @boboboy8189 7 месяцев назад

      Not power rangers, its kamen rider. Power rangers is a group but kamen rider more like solo without robot. If you enjoy this movie, you should watch shin kamen rider : prologue (1992) and kamen rider ZO (1993). You Will understand why guyver is more kamen rider than super sentai
      That shin kamen rider has great transformation from japan but that movie were hated despite its Rated R, meanwhile ZO has great animatronic and remind me terminator villain although its PG-13

    The Guyver-Zoanoid's Guyver sphere was defective; being damaged when the ship crashed or during it's creation. The crack is supposed to reflect this for the audience. The Zoanoid leader disregarded that fact when they found it because their whole purpose is to obtain the Guyver power to make them near-invincible. He likely wasn't supposed to use it on himself but bring it back to an HQ, so they could reverse-engineer it to work with their physiology. Sean (Hayter) tells the Corpo Zoanoid the unit is defective when they're fighting (you see his body twitching and spasming), but he's too drunk with power by that time to care. So, when the girl shot the damaged sphere it stunned him long enough for the Guyver to recover and rip it out.

    It helps a lot that the choreography was helmed by Koichi Sakamoto who later worked on Power Rangers for Saban and later went back to Japan and has had a huge run in tokusatsu, working on all three major toku franchises as director or choreographer.
    The director, Steve Wang, also did a bunch of sfx work on shit like Predator, he runs a limited-run maquette shop, and he almost destroyed himself doing almost everything possible on the Kamen Rider Ryuki do-over for the west, Dragon Knight.
    I wish David Hayter had a bigger live-action career. He wasn't great but he coulda gotten better over time.

    So basically some of the flashbacks were trying to give lore that’s better established in the anime. To keep it short the human race was an experiment by the zoalords and zoanoids. The guyver units are the ultimate weapon because the unit can be used by zoalords, zoanoids and humans though for millions of years units were lost and the zoanoids didn’t want humans to have it because they were uncontrollable when fused with the guyver unit. Loved the anime for guyver but in my opinion both guyver movies are SBIG
