I did a convention appearance with him in Eastern Kentucky and they picked him up at the airport. it was a 3 hour drive and midway into it, at like 6 in the afternoon he says pull over, I have to use the bathroom. and proceeded to take a poop in someone's yard on the side of the road.
Every time I see Joe Estevez in a film, I imagine Martin, Emilio and Charlie taking the piss out of him at family gatherings, but now that the other three have fallen so far I imagine after his 8th drink, Joe screaming: "WELL AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE AIDS!!!!" at Charlie and ruining Thanksgiving.
@josephhubisz8610 Emilio hasn't done anything worth mentioning in years. The last thing Martin was in that was worth a crap was "The Departed". You have your opinion, I'll have mine and that's the end of this conversation.
The Shaggy from Scooby Doo hairstyle is great. It's a middle-aged guy trying to desperately look younger for his vanity project and it's definitely not working. This film looks like it was made in the early 70s, it's not a period piece and yet it came out in 2009?!? This is brutal, thanks for sharing!
Joe Estevez is in the bad movie hall of fame, he has been in some movies that make Meltdown look like The Departed. I'm not exaggerating. As an ex-Navy SEAL, Green Beret, Rhodes Scholar, and astronaut, I feel so seen by this movie. Stunning and brave. It's hard being the greatest person that ever lived, movies like this lessen the burden a bit. Keep highlighting these works of art.

Z'Dar had a condition called "Cherubism", not gigantism or something similar where other extremities grow. The lower half of the face continues to grow throughout their life. Sadly, some cases are life threatening (DO NOT google it, it'll ruin your day. Trust me. Google pics of Z'Dar from when he was younger and see what he looked like before the condition progressed instead) but Z'Dar lived a pretty long life all things considered.

It's like an anti-Sifu situation. It's easy to clown on Seagal for his poor health cause he doesn't give af about acting and he's a proven shitty person. I haven't heard any bad stories about Robert Z'Dar
I still think that Robert Z'Dar could make a much better and bigger career in the mainstream Hollywood if he wished. He is unironically good actor with a memorable screen presence.
Z'Dar was a VERY succesful actor. Regardless of the quality of the movies, he had a steady stream of work throughout his entire career. He was a total professional old school workhorse, and he never phoned in a performance. His work ethic and dedication to his craft was always on display.
If you want more Joe Estevez/Robert Z'Dar vanity project action, I recommend a movie called Soultaker. Written by and starring a lady named Vivian Schilling. If you want to see Joe absolutely scraping the bottom of the barrel even by his own standards, I think you're ready to endure Rollergator, a movie so bad it was banned by the Geneva Convention. Also I just thought of a name for our Ed Hardy-wearing hero. Browen Wilson

I am proud to say that we here in Nova Scotia have also faithfully preserved the British usage of "arse". Kudos to Erin! This Bluenoser raises an Alexander Keith's IPA and yells "SOCIABLE!" in her honour.
Christopher J. Martin manages to look like a 40 year old toddler who put on his dads clothes. It's quite hard to look away. But of all the things I NEVER thought I wanted in a movie: A musical performance by Robert Z'Dar. It totally redeemes the whole thing. The man had a pair of solid pipes!
Loved it when Jason was like 'Wait, is that sound from RUclips?' and then the movie played at least three or four of those really basic stock sound effect/clips in a row for no reason at all. Trying to build tension? Better ways to do that. xD Poor Robert Z'Dar though. Going from Samurai Cop and Tango and Cash to...this. Definetly didn't look too good here, poor guy. You know your fortunes are on the down low when you're HQ is set up in the Music Room at the local college... Edit: Also love that Erin does not keep a single thought to herself, no matter what. xD
OMG! I have been waiting for this moment! Meltdown is one of my favorite quintessential terrible vanity projects! It’s so incompetent it looks like a parody most of the time. The best part is Robert Z’Dars insane “I don’t give a fuck because Ive sadly got one foot in the grave” performance! RIP to a BIG CHINNED LEGEND!!!
So, that's what David St. Hubbins did after Spinal Tap broke up... Man, Z'Dar looked like a heart attack waiting to happen. I did not need to see him like this. He looked like a god in "Samurai Cop", no matter how bad the movie is. With the beard, the great shape he was in at that time, and the confidence he radiated, it was awesome. He could have been a major action star or Bond villain with that look. This is sad, poor guy! Especially since I've never heard or read a single bad thing about him.
If you want to watch a Robert Z'Dar movie were he's healthy, funny and playing a good guy then you should watch The Big Sweat from 1991. It's an action-chase movie that features a 45 minute car case that's mostly stolen from the original Gone in 60 Seconds. I sent you a copy a few months ago.
I love that you can tell the exact moment of the editing process when the editor found the stock music stings that came with the editing software. And boy-howdy does this one have some bad cuts in it.
22:32 When he said he "did" the music, what he meant was he turned on the electric keyboard and recorded one of the preprogrammed songs that was already on there.
The thing with Z'Dar singing at the piano is that it probably wasn't overdubbed. Before he was an actor, he was the keyboardist and vocalist for a band that opened for The Who and Jefferson Airplane. Unfortunately, I don't think they ever recorded any music. But it's pretty cool to actually hear him playing, even if it's only for a moment in a terrible movie.
I could feel both of your discomfort coming off in waves guys. I did not know that Z'dar had made movies this late in his life but. . . damn! That dude did not look good and I'm sorry to have seen the clips of him like this. He deserved better but on the upside, he was working at least. Great work as always, even though it wasn't quite as enjoyable as normal (because of Z'dar not you and Erin). All the same I liked it and can't wait to see your work in the future.
Erin is more entertaining than most of the movies. I would be really in trouble with this one as my hearing isn't so good. Oh the vanity! I don't think vanity projects have ever failed in the show...! (?)

He looks really rough in this. But the small bits we saw, he also looked like he was putting in a decent performance and by far the best performance in this movie.
I respect Erin pointing out the random things like that obviously fake pizza box. I can imagine someone on set sitting legs crossed on the floor with some crayons creating that prop, but they didn't have time to make another one and that's why the logo is off centered and running off the edge 😁
If I had independent wealth, I would definitely invest in a totally serious, played straight 80s/90s style action flick starting Dave. It would have to be played totally serious though, not a satire or comedy. I'm not sure Dave could handle it though, he'd need a crash course in fitness, fighting, and acting. No offense to Dave or anything
This feels like a movie that sat on the shelf for a long time before getting released. It looks like it was made earlier than 2009, but then again, so many of these crap vanity projects feel like that.
Jesus! I haven't cried while laughing in so long! This was a gem. I think Z'dar was speaking butchered Italian curse words when he was dying. Great episode this week!
Some blank-firing guns have blocked barrels and vent upwards, to stop them being able to fire live rounds. Thus making them: a) look terrible on film, and b) super unsafe for the actors' eyes, hence why so many flinch/squint/look away when shooting.
I remember Robert Z'Dar always being this jacked up badass looking dude. It was hard for me to enjoy this one as I truly felt bad for Z'Dar especially when it came to his last scene.
Thank you Jason I really appreciate this video. I’ve been sick for the last two weeks in bed so I really need the pick me up. Bless you for this video. Much love from Ontario. ❤
This literally looks like it was made on a personal video camera. Robert Z'Dar looks like Steven Seagal!! Special Super Agent John Thomas has every military award too!!
I can't believe how ill Robert Z' Dar looked in this movie, i remember him as Matt Cordell the Maniac Cop & was in great shape. Hilarious reactions to a hilariously bad vanity project you & Erin are comedy gold 👍
I love how, when the dude is at the shooting range making the bet with the woman, he violently closes both his eyes in anticipation of every report from his gun--obviously not a seasoned shooter, but badass in every other way (of course).
This might have the most vanity of any vanity project found so far. There were multiple scenes where both the good guys and the bad guys read off the list of his pointless accolades and ramble on about how cool he is. Erin was on fire for this one. Beat Jason to the dirty jokes, did the glow stick dance, and showed intense empathy for these troubled actors. Good call on the Coldplay vocalist, too. This guy's hair makes him look like a Cocker Spaniel.
I remember watching Tango & Cash in the 80's and Z'dar tripped me out with his massive frame and even more massive chin. Top alpha villain back in those days. It's sucks to see all your favorite old school badasses get old and frail but at least we have all those classic gems to show younger generations :) To Z'dar! 🍺
I think the reason why it feels so bad is because you're comparing him as he was when he was young and how far he's let himself go. Generally, Carradine is less drastic in his deterioration so it's harder to get that contrast.
To me it's cause, no matter the quality of the film, Z'Dar never phoned in a performance. And far as I've heard, was a cool guy. That's why it was sad seeing him in bad health, meanwhile we can clown on a POS like Sifu Seagal all day.
13:53 I think if David Carradine‘s last few movies had him walking around with a rope around his neck and his hand in his pants, we would be uncomfortable talking about it
I can see Joe Estavez coming to Christmas the year he made this and bragging about how he too got a starring role in a mob movie where he played the head FBI agent after hearing about The Departed for 3 years. Also, Robert Z'Dar played more of a lackey in Tango and Cash. He was only in a few scenes that weren't that long. Jack Palance was the mob boss and the guy that played the right hand was Brion James.
Important note to anyone who has found this channel recently and is going through the backlog of videos: Do NOT skip over the Seagal reactions and "save them for later"... you'll be left with watching them all back to back and it -may- will affect your mental state in a negative manner.

Hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself!❤
This literally looks like it was made on a personal video camera. Robert Z'Dar looks like Steven Seagal!! Special Super Agent John Thomas has every military award too!!
The FBI director in the red jacket is the Hugo Weaving we have at home.
I can't believe how ill Robert Z' Dar looked in this movie, i remember him as Matt Cordell the Maniac Cop & was in great shape.
Hilarious reactions to a hilariously bad vanity project you & Erin are comedy gold 👍
I love how the guy who's supposed to be an expert spec ops/federal agent kept flinching and closing his eyes in the shooting range scene.
I dont know what I love more, seeing Joe Estavez or those default classic suspense sfx
Oh damn. My man Robert looked horrible. He was a legend though and nothing can take that away.
The lead actor in this movie looks like he's doing a bad cosplay of Owen Wilson 🤣
Great episode guys. Love from the UK 😊
I think during the fight scene they were playing music from GI Joe
Christopher J Martin looks like the love child of Owen Wilson and Barney Rubble. Especially with the cut off sleeves.
I love how, when the dude is at the shooting range making the bet with the woman, he violently closes both his eyes in anticipation of every report from his gun--obviously not a seasoned shooter, but badass in every other way (of course).
You guys are such a great couple!
I love your content, as well.
Keep up the great work.

🖤🏆🏆🖤
“He’s such a jabroni!” Lmao Im dead! Erin is the best!😂❤
Robert Z'dar and Joe Estevez, got the Soultaker team back together!
Joe Estevez, when you want Martin Sheen, but your budget barely covers catering.
Haha!! Yes!
That guy’s resume read like Dwight K. Schrute’s fake one that Jim and Pam made for him.
Made me concerned for the $5 bin at Walmart from 2005-2015….. I don’t want you to run out of movies but….. but that….
I didn't remember him being in T & C, I'm going to have to rewatch it. I remember liking it at the time. Haven't seen it in 30 years 😂
I think the reason why it feels so bad is because you're comparing him as he was when he was young and how far he's let himself go.
Red jacket, black shirt, electric blue Paisley tie; just SCREAMS "Fed"!
I'll personally start a gofuneme to have Dave as the star of his own movie , pure movie magic
It’s so weird seeing Joe Estevez in an “actual” movie. I only know him from his roles in the On Cinema/Decker universe.
You haven't really lived until you've seen Joe's amazing performance in the single greatest cinematic masterpiece of all time "Rollergator".
No comment on the blue filter in the final "fight" in the warehouse that mysteriously disappeared? Yinz are slipping :D
The best part about these is watching you get progressively more drunk because you’re so bored you keep drinking. 🤣
Joe Estevez looks like a cross between his brother and Michael Douglas.
Did not know Paddy Pimblett the MMA fighter made a film.
Joe Estevez is magic in stuff like On Cinema with Tim Heidecker.
I feel like this was the point of origin for decker
i think so too. And Gregg was jealous @@Mothko
I really hope these guys discover Decker 😄🙏
I'd pay them to watch lol
Love the name btw@@ArtVandelayOfficial
What kind of movies we love on this show?
BEWBS!
No! Bucky Larson fighting goons in his local YMCA!
.
.
side note: any news of the last kumite?
Do you think this cast was all in AA together and that’s why the movie is filmed in the school and the cast all look deathly lol
Robert Zadar was in "Tango and Cash" with Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone
13:53 I think if David Carradine‘s last few movies had him walking around with a rope around his neck and his hand in his pants, we would be uncomfortable talking about it
Whenever times were tough, and he was needed most, he tightened his belt and came!
It's all good brother, I'm just starting for the day after a 4 cider breakfast. Couldn't even notice...😅
