Quite possibly the most underrated guitar player of all time...DEFINITELY the best of all the incredible guitarists Ozzy has surrounded himself with...
You are absolutely right !!!!! I saw them on a triple bill in Binghamton, New York in ' 89 !!!!! Tesla , Great White and Badlands !!!!! Maybe one of the best shows I have seen .... Jake is such a awesome player !!! Would love to hear something new from him !!!!
First time I saw Jake was on Ozzy's Bark at the Moon tour and he certainly was amazing..then Badlands came out and I knew he'd found his calling though I never got to see them live...some years later I got to see Jake E. with Mandy Lion's WWIII and he was great as always but so overshadowed by Mandy Lion, who is quite the imposing figure himself..
I got his gold guitar pick it glows in the dsrk with a strobe light it's my favorite and i have Toni Iommi, Kurt Cobain, Kerry King, Dimebag Darrel, Steve Harris' Wristband,
Fuck it... Jake held my hand after a guitar solo and he put his guitar pick in my hand....I was clutching on to stage monitors so i wouldn't lose my place...he's one of my heroes. Saw him with RDC twice.. Im there man anytime. Couldn't get close in the heyday but with RDC I was right there....I became a kid man! I wish that good feeling on anyone man.
I saw them on this tour in Fayetteville, NC at the Flaming Mug when they were on the way down the tubes. I think Ray had already been fired and agreed to come back to do the tour. He and Jake didn't even look at each other. Even then, and with a short set with no encore (although they did finish with Deep Purple's Speed King), they were amazing. A shame they didn't last. Jake + Ray was pretty magical.
THAT being said, makes you wonder what went on BACKSTAGE? Even though they were two totally different artists, I wonder who DID HAVE "better chemistry," Ozzy and Jake or Ray and Jake?
Ray and Jake without a doubt, not even close. Ozzy and Jake never got along, both on and off stage. Meanwhile Ray and Jake were like brothers before it got ugly due to various reasons. Ray and Jake were probably the best rock/blues-frontman/guitarist duo that ever existed.
seen them , and met them an hung out backstage with them, at their short peak, Jake was awesome, ray, well, quite possibly the best looking man ever...vseen them 6 times. awesome. my wife doesn't mind me saying that about ray, what's true is true, great great front man ,,lost, shit ,,,

Randy Rhodes was pretty good, too, but he died way too early to make that lasting of an impression.
Ray the best vocalist in my opinion. He has 4 octave range. The song is kool but kickass at the end with Ray showing his vocals
Probably one of the most underrated bands of that era, well shit. Amy era. They were just badass period
Well said I agree. All 4 were exceptional musicians/singers
STILL Badass in 2020 !
Oh yeh!!

bigmike971 I saw them on the same bill, plus I saw them on a bar tour they did.

Jake E Lee and Eric Singer ...Best Couple ever
Eric Singer only plays on the first album, Jeff Martin plays on the 2nd & 3rd.
