Absolutely correct. I thought there couldn't be a better fit than the original 4 and then Jeff Martin came in with some of the tastiest grooves, fills, and dynamics that I'd heard in 80s rock.
Love This!!! Badlands was Bad ASS. Not too many people know of them. Unless you followed Ozzy's guitarists after they left. Amazing! So many memories tied to their first and this. A part of my life.
yeah there great they slipped through the cracks .sort of i worked with a guy in a band who was a drummer & he played the cd at work and i lived it so i got it.sadly i never saw Badlands .but im a big Dio, Sabbath ,Ozzy dan and i saw Ozzy many times with various guitarists,. Jake E lee , zack wylde, joe Homes..
If you were into Ozzy and hard rock guitar during the late-80s you knew about Badlands, as they were covered in all the rock and guitar mags back then. In fact, MTV played “Dreams in the Dark” pretty regularly during late spring/early summer ‘89; and it was even voted on the MTV daily top-10. Lol Of course, it was difficult to gain any following when there was barely any promotion after the first album. Not to mention the band breaking up and Ray dying.
I'm actually shocked they would remaster any of Badlands category, what with all the lawsuits and ban on any re-issues. Wouldn't be able to market and sell any of it. And lord knows I'm still waiting for the day to come they hopefully lift the ban and re-issue those 3 albums!!!!
One of Jake’s best riffs.
Gets better with every listen .
This is my 8,888,888,888,888 listen
Ray's second note in the chorus is a mean hook!
Jeff Martin is a very underrated drummer and this song is a big reason why I wanted to get into drumming.
Eric singer I believe
@@danielbighart1887 Yes on the first album but was replaced on this release by Jeff Martin

These drummers for badlands are so underrated. This is a super group.
Most drummers are “underrated” unless they aren’t.
