To be honest, you really have to see it, and feel it in order to felt in love with it. Best convertible ever made, and I enjoy every moment riding it.
This car is outstanding...best idea Land Rover ever had...
This is such a desirable car,it's the best looking 4x4 by far! Well done Jaguar/Landrover.
I think Land Rover have been successful in engineering the Evoque as a convertible. It will likely sell well in California and southern Europe and add some pizazz to an already stylish car.

To be honest, first i hated the car. I thought it was a horrible concept and a useless addition to the already crowded suv market. Then i saw the car in black and i heard Thomas talking about the car and the lifestyle convertible style. All pieces fell in place immediately. Too many people waist their money on something like a m4 convertible, totally destroying the feel of the car. With the Evoque convertible, the convertible market finally gets what convertibles are really about. And to top it off, in full black at least, the car looks absolutely awesome! Great review as always :)

Nice concept, can't imagine many blokes driving this, but still like it. Can see why the spoiler can be appealing for a sporty look, but have to agree with Thomas here.
My love I drive one. The first time I saw one was in London. I almost broke my neck trying to get a look. After returning to the States I went to the D.C. car show. My mouth dropped. Now I’m the happiest bloke ever to have one.🥰🥰

+Purplefabian You're right! I've been for 2 weeks there, saw so many expensive and fast supercars but nearly any convertible.
Fart Fast Mcspeed I saw already a video where the evoque convertible was driving around in Dubai. But in the winter its +/- 25 degrees there so really nice weather for a convertible. And yeah I also noticed that they like privacy in there cars too because they tint there windows a lot yes
So a convertilbe 4x4? I don't see anything wrong here....

I have one on order , the same as this car but without the black pack, I will post a review when I get it. I think it's a bit small and maybe a bit girly. But still excited

Thomas. ...Great review as usual, I am a bit surprised you agreed about Ford tech inside, in short there is none and it doesn't resemble anyother SUV on the market,what you can say is that the BMW 's SUV's has Land Rover tech too because they bought the company courtesy of Margaret Thatcher for £1, and stole all the Range Rover technology, tooling, blueprints, etc , and also Honda's engine technology from the Rover's(which pissed off the Japanese), after BMW finished, it sold Land Rover to Ford of Europe. BMW also had an Englishman as its boss at one stage, not msny people know that. And your Mercedes couldn't start an F1 team from new so they went out and bought a ready made F1 Team, BRAWN GP from an Englishman ROSS BRAWN.

Old Willys jeep and LandRovers used to have no roof too. I guess this is the modern equivalent. But only this will be fashion icon rather than utility. I like it, but would prefer mx5 as an convertible. In 70's there was several American offered convertibles such as Boronco. I kind of think Boronco does still look better to me may be because it is more purposeful.

I rather believe that this car fits to maximum 170 cm tall girls. If you're a man who no longer go to the gym and you're past 100 kg of and over 180 cm tall , surely there is no place for you on the front and back.... nor can dream to sit. In this particular case the great Range Rover would be the car choice.
I saw your knees almost touching the dash lower part... I couldn't drive in that position . I'd say you have to have short legs for sure to fit in. But , overall it is an interesting project.

I test drove the evoque before and I think it's too small for me (im over 190cm). The range rover sport is a bit out of my budget so naturally the F pace caught my attention..How is the interior room in the F pace compared to the Evoque? Is it notably more spacious?

I just sold my two year old Evoque. Good riddance! But the design is still amazing and has trickled-up to other models. Unlike this guy, I hated the click-click tap-tap noises of the cruise control and other steering wheel buttons. Those noises were annoying when making constant micro-adjustments to the cruise control. The offload capabilities are really good. The idea of a Land Rover convertible isn't new. There have been many different LR convertibles over the years, so I suppose this fits with the DNA of Land Rover. For a city SUV, the five-door offered decent utility. The convertible, not so much.
Which was the first SUV convertible?
Posted the question too early... You said it later... But honestly I haven't even heard of Murano convertible... I just checked it now... Awfullllll....

Lol......The wing in the back s not about esthetic is about aerodynamics, so it doesn't bother me, my main concerned is, does it have "roll bars" behind the headrest in the back seats when the top is down that can be deployed in a car crash?
That's a make or brake for me in security with that vehicle!
