Using food colouring to dye papers - did it work?

Yeah food dye is not pigmented enough.
Maybe it would have worked a bit better with paste as a base, so it would have stayed longer in the pages

That might be a good idea. I think this was just cheap coloring from the discount store so probably not the best quality either!
