If you don’t watch with captions by this point, what are you even doing? If you go to 10:36 you will see just how amazing these productions are with captions. Once again I give props to Viva for their amazing work, for giving the hearing impaired, those who need captions to focus and people who simply enjoy them, just a little extra love. I didn't realise I really can focus with captions turned on before this show and people commented every video about it. I used to watch stuff at 1.25x speed though that helps too

Agree! I don't have hearing loss but captions seriously help my ability to retain what's going on. And I know it can't be easy to capture with the way they talk over each other.
I love that there is now a new element to bodgers hammer that Rowan will never use when he completely forgets about its existence.

@@GruppeSechs Not explicitly - but the seeds were sown for them to follow that questline (Bodger had a vision of a mysterious figure attacking Stephanie and Liam - which we now know was when she was turned by Tra'kel.)
I love the recurring gag of Ben repeating what Rob says when he starts to describe a scene and how their characters feel at that moment, same way Britt (who coincidently is sitting at the same spot) does it for the Tales of the Misfits campaign

I love no matter how bad things get, even when being chased by the last dragon through the sky, Greg never attempts Divine Intervention.
This community seriously needs to stop believing that divine intervention is basically a "I'll do what I want" spell. Divine Intervention, in the actual game of DnD, means asking something directly from your god, and the DM chooses what happens. And as per the rules it's normally even more restricted than that, and only works as a replacement for another spell that the DM decides.
In the actual game, DI is only something that a cleric would do as a last resort. If you abuse that spell in DnD, chances are that your deity will stop talking to you.
@@Ezullof sooo, basically what the original comment said? When being chased through the sky by the last dragon, unable to fight back or flee, (i.e. "last resort") using DI to help escape by whatever Rob (the DM) has it effect?

27:47 - Rob in the background miming a clean swift cut, while Greg's just sawing through it with a trowel. And also Adam - 27:43 - with a quick chop. Like, two options back-to-back of a quicker relatively less painful method, and Greg decided on the slowest and painful one. It's not even out of malice, it's just Greg being Greg.
I can imagine this scene in a dark comedy movie, like directed by the makers of Saw (appropriately enough), and it's got all the gory close-up of Bodger's finger slowly getting cut, balanced by the hilarity of the scenario.

I imagine that once the guys dispose of the 3rd hag, ensuring Laethil's future can be changed for the better, Bodger, Greg and Bob will just switch sides in the final battle, thrash Baradun alongside Laethil, and install him as the High Sorcerer.

I don't know how I missed this show for so long but I stumbled on this a few weeks ago and have been binge watching ever single episode for the past 2 to 3 weeks until I have now caught up. I am so sad that I now have to wait week to week to see this campaign. Thank you so much for this D&D campaign. You are all amazing and ROB, you are some sort of D&D DM savant. I don't think many people could keep this group on a cohesive story. Please keep it up and thank you again.

I don't know if it is sad or normal, but as an adult in my early 40s I don't feel I have any situations anymore that cause me to laugh so hard that I actually cry. Bardoun: Imagine a fireball inside the Ball
The ruleset for D&D doesn't account for this, but other gaming systems do. It's called "Chunky Salsa Effect" and is usually attributed to a grenade going off inside of a tightly compacted room.
How the Shadowrun game handles it, is that an explosion has a radious, and the dice code for the explosion reduces a dice for every meter that it expands. However, in an enclosed room, the shock wave hits a wall and bounced back, and if the wall is small enough, then the damage can rebound and rebound again and again and a subject within the tightly enclosed space will be hit with multiple levels of the explosion.
So a fireball going off inside the ball would;ve effectively killed all of them.
Which is a real thing for anyone wondering, called Over Pressuring.
Concussive blasts in an enclosed space rapidly heightens the effects as the space gets smaller.
This is most often seen with gunshots or flashbacks (edit: lol meant *flashbangs)* used inside small rooms.
@@DH-xw6jp other things that D&D didn't consider are FAE (Fuel-Air Explosives) where the core of the explosion is the size of the cloud and the explosive radius extend from there.
For D&D, certain caustic gases, like Green Dragon breath or the Cloud Kill spell, I make explosive. Which allows them to FAE bomb.

I once built what was deemed the "fighter's fireball" which was a pressurized flask of fine bread flour and a clockwork sparker (like the flintlock mechanism of a rifle)
The idea was you throw it and when it bursts it throws a big cloud of flour into the air that ignites (if you don't know, working in a flour mill used to be incredibly dangerous because the flour particles suspended in the air were highly flammable)
It had half the radius of a magic fireball (and a range limited by throwing capability ) but the same damage potential.
Finally I am caught up on this series I've been binging it for a few weeks and I love it. I was never even curious about DnD before watching this but it made me realize how fun this is so mission successful Robert I remember you saying in one video how that's what you hoped would happen and it did.
I see we've reached the point all DnD campaigns get to eventually... fucking dragons.
