in my opinion Luffy would need gear 5 to fight Kizaru and I don't even think Luffy would even beat him I think their fight will get interrupted by Saturn
I keep laughing at this whole Kizaru notion. Now he’s no slouch one of the strongest in the story but he never wanted to Solo Kaido based on that when he attacks Luffy the only chance he has is to blitz him early before he takes gear 5 with a laser kill shot to the heart or something. He can no longer beat Luffy.
Also I ain’t worried about Rob Lucci he should not be able to beat Zoro in my opinion. That’s how Zoro should grow his bounty right here with the defeat of the world Government. Kizaru shocking defeat.

I'm hyped for this. Luffy is getting serious with this fight, in my opinion. Mostly due to him not giving Kizaru and nicknames. He just calls him Kizaru and tells him to catch these hands.
This whole mini arch is going to just showcase that Luffy is really above the admirals now as a Yonkou. But Saturn might come and smoke Luffy just afterwards and showcase how Gorosei are on a different level.

I personally don't think Gorosei's are not much about individually powerful beings as admirals and Emperors but more about the unquestionable authority they have similar to celestial dragons. Of course this is personal opinion.

Fighting Kaido and his whole crew was a Herculean effort on its own but can Luffy go toe-to-toe with Kizaru? We’ve never seen him fight seriously and will Luffy even be able to keep up with him? It’s gonna be an interesting fight and a long overdue one to be sure.

Luffy knows when he is outclassed in a fight and knows when to back off because a fight is hopeless or unwinable. The fact that Luffy goes and challanges Kizaru head on means that Luffy knows he can win.

At this point, I dont think theres anyone that can defeat luffy without it being High dif at least. Also, to me this arc kinda feels like it's meant to solidify the straw hats as a yonko crew. It would be weird of they just got smoked by the marines right after the huge win at wano. They'll suffer defeat again in the future, but not now IMO

Normally like your theories but gotta throw this out there, This is a non fight. They gave both Kizaru and Luffy an out before it started. Luffy just wants to flee so he's gonna buy time. Saturn has commanded Kizaru that he has to hold back in order to protect the island and it's assets. No matter what you think about Kizaru Oda would not place a limiter on Kizaru before having luffy beat him. Because that would leave the fan base wondering "What if he could have wrecked the island?" etc. The very fact that Oda went out of his way to limit Kizaru means this is gonna be a hype fight. It ends in noone winning and luffy fleeing with vegapunk. The only way this is not true is if Kizaru says "fuck my orders ima go all out 100% on you and then destroys Punk Records or some shit to prove it. If that happens then nevermind.

Aokiji also was revealed to have crazy physical power due to training with garp, and somehow managed to trade blows without acoc using his DF. All the admirals have at least the same level of haki as post-udon luffy minus maybe future sight

Hey Anime Balls Deep. After the Jujutsu Kaisen anime finally showed the wholesome Ozawa moment. I just remembered Yuji's potential abilities. What do you think about the possibility that Itadori has something similar to Mahito's soul CT. But instead of straight up manipulating it, he can do something else. Because I just realized that when he recognized Ozawa, it may have been foreshadowing for his ability to see souls. Also hence why he was attracted to someone like Ozawa in middle school, because of her pure soul.
In the manga, Yuji can swap souls. Which means, he can go into the other person's body, and the other person's soul will get inside his body.
I feel like if he is already in gear 5 and kizaru is barley trying at this point he could need help to beat him
