This is such a iconic show . I hope the models felt at that time they were apart of something truly artistic and amazing, not just another show! I always get goosebumps watching this show.

People throw around the words "phenomenal" and "genius" and "respect" in everyday life, but they should only really apply to staggering geniuses such as Lee Alexander McQueen; this is where the work and the vision is nothing but. Such a tragedy he was worked to the ground and didn't see how much he was loved on this Earth when his own life went into upheaval. And 10-12 collections a year is just stupid, and whoever had him keep to that work schedule is inhumane. Wherever you are now Lee, bless you; you have inspired so many and your work and energy will live on forever! x

I think she exaggerates their friendship a bit and exploited it after his death. she was on tour nonstop in that era, she saw him maybe twice total in person. she was a bright new popstar that had a bangin' stylist and thats why she was sent the collection, not because of some deep friendship. that friendship is a myth for the most part. im sure he thought she was 'amazing' but they weren't close friends. could they have been? yes. but they werent. he felt utterly alone.
