Wow. Just got my ukulele and watched your first beginner video on "I'm Yours"; already can play it perfectly. Hope to work my way up the ladder to this video. Thanks TenThumbs
Awesome! Welcome to the club, we have about 600 or so Ukulele tutorials for you to play around with and new ones every single Wednesday and Saturday to keep you learning, welcome to the club!
I got my uke about a month ago and this was the first song I learned. (The beginner version of course) and now I've learned this. (Just gotta practice switching between the chords more). You tutorials have always been a big help. Keep it up my man.
+seailive Thanks for the kind words. That is a good idea about the Capo on the first fret, get rid of the barre chords. Do you have a capo made for the Ukulele? I have found it hard to find a good one.
Awesome! I just got my Uke this weekend from GC and this is the first some I learned (actully the easy strummer verion with the intro from this version and the strum)!
For anyone else that was confused like me, the finger placment when he shows the chords does not show the barre. The barre is a the top of F#m and Abm. Hope this helps 🎶🏝🏝
You pluck the A and E strings at the same time than slide your fingers UP from the A and E strings 2nd fret to A and E strings 4th fret. Than you go back to A and E strings 2nd fret and pluck. Then you repeat. Than instead of playing A and E both on the 2nd fret you play A on the first fret and E on the 2nd fret. After that you slide back up from the A and E 2nd fret to the A and E 4th fret. AFTER THIS you switch to the E 4th fret and C 3rd fret strings than pluck twice. After you pluck twice you switch to E 4th fret and C 4th fret than pluck once. Easy. Just go to 5:16 than pause the video. Find out which letter corresponds to each string than play it SLOWLY.
I love this channel so much! It's my go to when I want to learn a new song on my ukulele. I have had it door 7 years and am always playing. Thank you so much for all the lessons and now I have something to play for my high school talent show :)
My friend, your inspiration is my motivation. I want you to be successful and I promise to work hard every day to give you that opportunity. Happy holidays and stay golden my man!
+Jennifer Riley Very true, when you change the key of the recording this concept is called transposition, and moving it from B to C makes it much easier but you still need a Dim chord for the break, here is the lesson in C for beginners. ruclips.net/video/5l2ASKiFlF8/видео.html
Thanks for making a video with the key the song is recorded in. I’m looking for some instruction on the scar part. I can’t quite figure it out. Or maybe kinda don’t want to take the time if someone else has ha
nice tutorial, im not that good so im gonna learn the beginner song. i like the reggae strum! but reggae strum is to difficult for me, so im gonna practise a year andere then try this again!
+Louis schneidt Slow and steady wins the race, just take all the pieces and make them as small as possible and strum it out nice and slow and you will get it faster than you think.
Hey I'm a beginner but I'm able to plax the beginners version so now I want to learn the full one but my fourth finger (pinky) can't reach some notes of F# because it's too short(I have very small hands) What do I do?
+JohnnyDfan911 I didn't know Jason covers that song! I have learned it in Am and Bm, I am just trying to choose the key I like more, but it is coming soon!
The stum pattern is confusing to me. I've played a little guitar but am new to ukulele. It sounds like you're counting each down-up strum as an eighth note (i.e. the 1st d-u is 1, the 2nd d-u is &, the 3rd d-u is 2, and so on)? Coming from guitar, I'm more used to the downstrokes being the 1, 2, 3, 4 and the upstrokes being the &s.
good job tyler! it was really easy to learn this tutorial for me. And what you think about Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue, I really like that riff from there, could you do that as an another tutorial?
You could, but you would still need to mute the top string so you can still get that muting sound when you apply no pressure. Or you could use an inversion that covers all four strings. But even if you used either of these it wouldn't sound just right but you can try it.
+mike falasca Good point, the only thing really different I am doing is I am not playing that high G string and I am muting it with my thumb, for this particular song you get the whole thing in and you still have the whole E triad.
+Jennifer Riley I have never head of Colby Calai, are they popular in the US? What are some good songs? With Vance Joy I only now riptide, what other songs are good?
+Brandon Lee It might be that you are sliding to far, a lot of times at first people miss the point and slide to far or not far enough, another might be really focusing on even pressure throughout. Try to just slide at first up one fret, get comfortable with that and than move to the whole two fret slide.

Awesome! thanks for the love.
finally i learned this full song after 2 weeks
Instead of a G# major, I do a G minor on the second fret, and it sounds exactly the same, this time you could actually use all the strings 😊
Who thumbs down an ukulele tutorial?! This is good stuff, thanks for sharing it!
Cheers Silas! Thank you for the kind feedback, stay safe and strum on friend!
I find using a capo on the first fret makes the chord changes smoother, love learning from you, especially the riffs. Thanks for all your work.
+seailive Thanks for the kind words. That is a good idea about the Capo on the first fret, get rid of the barre chords. Do you have a capo made for the Ukulele? I have found it hard to find a good one.
got a very nice stainless one called On-Stage Gear bought on special at the sunshine coast ukulele festival in SE Queensland Australia.
Looks like I am headed to Australia. Nice.

Ayyyyy!! Thus was posted on my birthday!!! YES!!! :D
Omg I hate that E :(((
Really frustrating
Yeah, it is a boogie, try this see if it helps. ruclips.net/video/VhCA4iPZ80s/видео.html
Agree - that's why the best alternative is to bar the 4th fret and hold the 1st string at the 7th fret.
I hate the cord E!!!!!!!
Nk
Np problem for me anymore :D
Please please can you go more in dept with the intro riff. I am stuck on how you do it. PLEASE HELP
SAME 😭

Me: *starts video*
Him: It's all bar chords
Me: lol noPe
Wish I could play like this !
“Your gonna go to the B major” *strums dramatically*
Me: ✨I am a learner✨
You can also do it just C,G,Am,F the whole song
+Jennifer Riley Very true, when you change the key of the recording this concept is called transposition, and moving it from B to C makes it much easier but you still need a Dim chord for the break, here is the lesson in C for beginners. ruclips.net/video/5l2ASKiFlF8/видео.html

Thanks Sacha! Much love to the Philippines.
Thanks for making a video with the key the song is recorded in. I’m looking for some instruction on the scar part. I can’t quite figure it out. Or maybe kinda don’t want to take the time if someone else has ha

+TenThumbs Productions can u help me how do u strum so well I have no idea what's the pattern for the strumming and my hand Hurst each time I strum
Is it just me or is the rif easier than the chords?
Haha, yeah, those chords can be really hard.
I don´t understand how you do the riff! Can you make a video on how to do it?
Anna Gilbo no
Josh Gavilaga your not alone bratha
the bridge part is missing :( Sounds like he's playing B - Bb - G#m - Bb - E - Fdim twice in a row. Would be cool if you could check that!
muchisimo gracias
Hey thanks a lot for the tutorial but what's about the bridge?
You da man
Did you do the bridge bit in here?
what kind of ukulele do you have?? thanks for your lessons!
She really good u should check her out!!
And can you do how to play waltzing Matilda this seems easy if people learn by you
Hey I'm a beginner but I'm able to plax the beginners version so now I want to learn the full one but my fourth finger (pinky) can't reach some notes of F# because it's too short(I have very small hands)
What do I do?
How do you put your fingers on the cord so you can make the 2/4 sound in the intro riff? Thanks!
Him:this video is only for ukelele players not for begginers
Me:A guitar player
Does anyone else hear creepy breathing? at 2:13 - 2:15
Hahaha, that is the neighbors dog.
It happens more than just that time. Weird heavy breathing.
UkeMelee lmao guys he has marina joyce
flightjam I’m 2 yrs late, but dogs don’t just breathe once. :)
this is going to drive me into Insanity I give up
please do the Jason mraz version of fly me to The moon :)
+JohnnyDfan911 I didn't know Jason covers that song! I have learned it in Am and Bm, I am just trying to choose the key I like more, but it is coming soon!
nice, I like the intro
also would you mind adding the lyrics?
What’re you strumming during the riff. Only the a and e or all. And are u attuning up from the bottom?
Just wondering what the thick white lines on some of the frets were......I'm new to this so apologies if it's a stupid question
can you please do beautiful soul by jesse mccartney
love your channel💞
The stum pattern is confusing to me. I've played a little guitar but am new to ukulele. Coming from guitar, I'm more used to the downstrokes being the 1, 2, 3, 4 and the upstrokes being the &s.
I can't find the PDF you're talking about where it shows the riff
What's the strum in the chorus and what's the chords and strum in the doobie doo bridge
good job tyler! it was really easy to learn this tutorial for me. And what you think about Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue, I really like that riff from there, could you do that as an another tutorial?
+Matthew Girmon Yeah, we really need some RHCP for sure, that one, Dani California, Under the Bridge, so many good songs to choose from.
can you make a tutorial of "Wild Things" from Alessia Cara
can you make tutorial for riff with more detail,please..i cant understand how to play riff style..but i really wanted to play...please make a tutorial
I am not sure another video will help you, but maybe I can. What exactly is giving your trouble?
im not even holding my uku right now but this looks.. hard.
2:00 wait wait wait... how are you baring the first string on second fret with your pointer finger like that?
Can you do say you won't let go pls😀😀😀
Could this be made easier by just putting a capo down on the first fret?
Your close with transposition, but it would happen from tuning this Ukulele down a half step.
Please do how deep is your love by bee gees
Talitha Stapelberg great song
Is there like an easier way to transition between cords
I thought i was good until i saw the B cord so I'ma head out and do the easy one😅😅
hey tenthumbs can u play an E minor instead of tht funky lookin E major for this song? i feel like it'd make it easier
You could, but you would still need to mute the top string so you can still get that muting sound when you apply no pressure. Or you could use an inversion that covers all four strings. But even if you used either of these it wouldn't sound just right but you can try it.
Its like your Elvis but with a ukulele 😂
Hahahaha
5:02 that was cool bruh🤣
How do u play the intervals in the intro riff? Like what's the finering
it doesn't EXACTLY sound like the studio version though, does anyone know how to make it sound like the one on the music video?
What is the type of tue ukulele the he's using?
+Eduardo Plentz Luna is the manufacture, high tide is the series, concert size. And I love it.
Thanks!
My pleasure.
Can you do something by System of A Down?
That would be challenge, but I like a good challenge. Let me check it out.
+TenThumbs Productions aw thank u!🌸❤️
Can you go more in depth on the intro riff and show us how to do it its hard to see your finger placement? Or if any one has some tips....
How do you do that thing at 5:18 and 5:19.
Look at the tab lol. He moves his fingers from the second to the fourth fret on A string
your E doesn't look like the diagram shown ??
+mike falasca Good point, the only thing really different I am doing is I am not playing that high G string and I am muting it with my thumb, for this particular song you get the whole thing in and you still have the whole E triad.
Why do bar cords suck sooooo bad!? There's just absolutely no way my fingers are going to grip Abm :/
Why did I decide to play ukelele after bass, my fingers are giant and almost don't fit
Well I do like Colby Calai and Vance joy :)
+Jennifer Riley I have never head of Colby Calai, are they popular in the US? What are some good songs? With Vance Joy I only now riptide, what other songs are good?
do u mean Colbie Caillat, the one tht does bubbly and try? i used to listen to her songs when i was younger
Is there any way of using an alternative chord instead of the E?
Not really, but there are a couple of ways to do the E, maybe this will help ruclips.net/video/VhCA4iPZ80s/видео.html
Thanks! I'll look into it!
Is there a way I can just play the rift with the easy version chords
RD63 yes, all you have to do is move the riff, meaning every note, up one fret, so every 2 becomes a 3, every 4 a 5, etc.
is anyone else having trouble with the strumming pattern?? It’s kinda confusing
hey can I have the link to the PDF?
Where do I find the cord pattern?
I don't understand the slide? When I do it it sounds off. Any tips?
+Brandon Lee It might be that you are sliding to far, a lot of times at first people miss the point and slide to far or not far enough, another might be really focusing on even pressure throughout. Try to just slide at first up one fret, get comfortable with that and than move to the whole two fret slide.
+TenThumbs Productions I got it now. I was just reading the tabs wrong. But now I know the whole song. Thanks this was an amazing tutorial
Brandon Lee Thanks Brandon, awesome that you got it.
Honestly man, I called you out on showing off on a different video.
Hahaha, was I showing off in this one too? Love to solo bro! Can't help it.
I don't understand the riff :( any advice ??
why can't you put finger placement?
wow this is hard
The key of B is very hard on the Ukulele.
Is it XX DU XX DU?
Please do a tutorial of Drive By by train!
