Time to learn how to play Im Yours by Jason Mraz with this awesome Ukulele tutorial. It will walk you through all the pieces that you need, breaking down how to play the chords, how to play the strum pattern, and how to even play that extra little chord that happens to create some tension. This Ukulele tutorial is a beginner strummer version of this very popular jam in the key of C, the actual key of the song is B, meaning it is all barre chords and quite difficult, but by moving it up just one semitone it because a great beginner song to learn how to play. This Saturday we will be breaking down how to play I'm Yours the full version. I hope you have as fun learning how to play Im Yours in this ukulele beginner song tutorial as I did teaching how you to play Im Yours!

JMi hey bro, yeah it may seem hard at first, but it becomes really easy if you keep practicing. At first, I had trouble transitioning between chords, but now, 4 months later, I can play quite a lot of songs. Just keep going bro, never stop practicing. LOL I am already addicted to the ukulele, and I cant go an hour without playing. 😊👍

For those who are struggling with the Strumm/Rythm:
1. watch the strumm tutorial first, the link is in the description
2. Try to play each chord by counting 1,2,3,4 (like he does in the video)
3. Then try to play each chords only with strumming down: (Down, Down, Down, Down)
4. Then: Down-Up, Down-up, Down-up, Down-up (don't forget to count)
5. Pratice each step until you got the counting and strumming right and feel comfy with it
6. Then try to get the rhythm as he told in in the video
Hope this helps a bit. For me it was the best way to practice. Hope I got the english right, because I'm not a native speaker

Slow and steady, really practice just that change and it will get easier and easier.
What I do is I use my pointer to make the c then slide my finger up to make a g

Use your ring finger for c than you only have to slide it down and put your other two fingers it’s easier

Just got my uke 5 days ago with no knowledge at all, i thought I was the only one struggling with strumming but I have read the comment section and my frustrations just got calmed.
This particular strum pattern has something called "sycnopation" and while this is a beginner song, this particular strum pattern isn't a great first strum pattern. You'll get it if you stick with it but in the mean time try this other 5 strum patterns that will be much easier to learn, you can even experiment with these strums and this particular song ruclips.net/video/ZZIMCNJP1nE/видео.html

transitioning into g from any chord has to be one of the hardest things ive ever done in my life.
This is great however for someone still learning it was for me hard to follow. This is just a suggestion so pls I hope not offended. If you can show the cords like you did in the beginning and have it remain on the screen somewhere in the corner so there is a visual. I am trying to remember the fingerings for the notes when you are saying to play C then Am etc. I hope I am making sense.
It makes sense and I understand what you are saying. I have gone back and forth I this and I believe it is better for you to take the time and memorize them. It will put you in a better place moving forward. My opinion as a teacher is a little different than a student, I get that, but the ones that always take it too easy never really learn.

Really try to say the strum pattern outloud, find a quite space and speak while you do it. A little everyday and you'll get good fast.

Maybe because it's cheaper, Luna ukuleles are a bit more expensive. But idk, I have my 30 dollar ukulele and it sounds fine.

The G chord seriously will be the death of me, I LOVE yousician but they just show you the chord then instantly go into songs
the G chord on Uke is the same as the D chord on guitar :-) if ya finding it hard ..swap ya fingers around or just use the pointer finger and middle finger(flatten the pointer finger out to cover the 3 strings on the second fret then put your middle finger down on the 3rd fret E string) i play the D chord of guitar different allot of people cos my fingers dont bend that way or something lol. the G on uke is the same thing. good luck! ukulele is so much fun! :-D and ya can play hundreds of songs with just 3 chords lol

The G chord is, in my opinion, one of the easiest chords. I have a giant pamphlet with roughly 40 chords, half of which require you to flatten your finger across the strings which is something my fingers won't let me do unless i COMPLETELY change my hand position
