If you wanna go an alternate route, replacing flurry with evade is also an option. With animation cancels you can escape a lot of long animations, which leads to more attacks, and shorter cooldowns overall. For my build with refreshing move, a typical combo will be tondo - evade - light - light - tondo, etc. Omnidirectional evade is bugged atm, but when it hopefully gets fixed, this variation allows you to enjoy 10 - 20 increased bleed damage too. Finally, I think your attribute distribution is wrong. Sure, you get a bit more base damage on rapier going 275/275 - but what about your ice gauntlet? That's gonna be losing out way more than whatever your small gain is on the rapier. And then we get to the attribute bonuses. Are you really gonna pass up 15% ability damage (both weapons!) and effectively a flat 5% damage increase, by neglecting going 350 int? That just can't be right in my opinion. 90% of the time all you're doing is spamming abilities, you hardly have time for light attacks.
Thats also a cool build to go with the Evade. With it you can self-empower cap really easy and do a lot of damage as well. Regarding the attributes, as I mentioned in the video, after testing a full rotation of the combo with different attributes I got the highest results with my 50/50 split.

Always go thrust damage or keen awareness on the ring. The attribute bonuses you get from int and dex will cap your bleed duration on their own, making bloodletting useless.
Not sure about that as the 15% from the DEX and 30% from INT will give you 45% increased DOT effects. If I'm not missing anything else 12s + 45% is not equal to 20s. Regarding the Keen, it's good to have it but there are 2 reasons why not to have it. 1. Every mele attack in the back of an enemy is critical! 2. Bleeds don't get affected by critical!
Tondo bleed -> 12s To the bone skill point (8 in 9:13) +5s 250 int -> +30% 150 dex -> +15% Isnt that enough to swap blood letting for thrust damage on the ring? im using soulpollen with hearty leeching thrust damage because of it
Sweet, good work but 25/150/350/50/100 is the best split atm for me at full build! I play with 4/4 Refreshing and Attuned Leather Pants! Thinking of even go for the Heavy perk and 50STR perk.
hmm 50 focus kind of seems like an odd choice ngl. Also I think if you're 100 con you might as well go medium and drop your con lower. I haven't tested but I'm pretty sure if you go like medium 15 con you'll do more damage than light 100 con while also having significantly higher survivability than if you were in light with 15 con. 25 str has its value if you're using evade instead of tondo but I'm not sure it's better than just 10 more dex. that is probably worth some testing but personally I haven't bothered with 25 str in my rapier build. and you should never ever ever be heavy attacking with rapier. best split I've seen from testing is 15/270ish/350/25/15 with attuned pants or 5/240/350/25/5 with nimble coat.

Nice explained! Here some questions: Do we still need Tondo? Because Flurry make the same blood effect. And i don't have the nimble chest - should i use refreshing move on rapier instead of emporer? thx 🙂
The whole idea is to apply 3 stacks of bleed and to consume it ASAP. If you run only Tondo or only Flurry, the stacking will be a bit delayed (slower). Still viable option to be paired with Evade. Regarding the refreshing move, it's a huge loss of damage. Main reason for that is that if you have enough refreshing and good rotation on the combo, you will not use more than 1 (max 2) auto attacks.

The build is still viable for PvE, as nothing has changed in the perks section. IG is a bit better than VG because of two factors. 1. IG abilities such as Pylon can be placed and then switch back to Rapier. For the next 45s the Pylon will remain. 2. VG is usually used by the Healer, so if you take VG as well the bonuses from the abilities will not stack. Example is the 15% empower from Oblivion.
Is the damage similar if you spam evade with to do and flurry? Or does flourish really mean a lot more damage? I thought if you keep 3 stacks of bleed constant that was more overall damage?
Evade build was and still is a good build. However, the damage is not even close. Even if you apply bleeds at all times, they are constantly getting refreshed. Meaning that you are never getting the full 20s of bleed damage. This is the reason why Flurish&Finish is so strong. Simply because it consumes all the remaining bleed damage and then multiplies it by 150% with the Bloody End passive.
