- Sleek and contemporary the Appartamento is a heat exchange unit with espresso brew temperature maintained by the commercial E61 Group Head. A small footprint and straight side panels featuring a circular design make this an attractive and practical unit when looking to maximise bench space.
In this video Luke reviews the Rocket Appartamento coffee machine providing an overview of the specs and features plus he also tells you what he thinks about it.
If your in Australia we currently have the machine on sale and you'll find a link to it here: artisti.com.au/products/appar...
Thanks for watching our video we hope you enjoyed it and it helped you learn a little more about the Appartamento.

My Rocket Cellini Evoluzione is 10 yrs old now and has been bullet proof and problem free since day one.
Yep! 👍🏻 bullet proof, if you look after them 🙏🏻
Love the videos! Thanks......
Cheers thanks for the support!
omg! it's about time! the single spout portafilter was sooo dumb. hated having to buy a naked portafilter considering it's the only one I use.
Yes! I hope all manufacturers do this for the consumer, but then the after market sales will stop 😢
Great video, guys. If you haven’t already, I’d love to see you review the Quickmill Rubino. I understand they have very similar specs to the Apartmento. But I’d love to hear a professionals’ thoughts, as there aren’t many vids around, especially by Aussies. Cheers.
Thanks Nikolai glad to hear that you enjoyed our review! Yes, we have actually done a review on the Quickmill and you can watch it right here: ruclips.net/video/TSxp32Y_MPQ/видео.html
Please let us know what you think :)
The plastic cup rail can be upgraded to the metal one and Serie Nera versions come with it as standard (which make it a no brainer choice imho)
Hello! I know this is mainly for home use, but is it also capable for making more drinks at a time? sometimes I do have a few guests and make quiet a few drinks. thank you sir
Nice video . I’ve had my machine for about 18 months and it’s awesome , the only issue I’m having is I think I’m using too much coffee for each shot. My grinder is a fiorenza f4 .
Have you weighed in your coffee grind? If not give it a go, we have a video on making a brew recipe to help you.👍🏻
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters thanks for that I will try this on the weekend. I think 🤔 I use a 21 gram basket in my double porta filter
No insulated boiler on this machine mate. One downside I found in daily use is that it needs a 5 ounce cooling flush after sitting idle for about 20 minutes. Otherwise it works great, and as you said has tons of steaming power. I had to turn down the opv, as mine was making 12 bars of pressure at the group head instead of 9 bar.
Solid video ! When you say you use a 21gr basket , do you aim for 42gr in about 25-30 sec or you modify the ratio ?
We use 22.5 in, 45g out, at 32-34 seconds 🤙🏻
What is the demo unit ?
Coz i wanna order one and i saw that
Another great video, thank you! How about a review on the Rocket R91, Mozzafiato, and Cinquantotto!
Sure, stock has been a bit of a challenge lately, as soon as we get one we sell it. We will do our best
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters thank you guys! love your videos! Luke rocks!
Thanks for the love! Cheers luke 🤜🏻🤙🏻
Nice video, funny water in portafilter, only problem I see with appartamento is the depth. At 425 mm or 16.73 in thats quite deep for most small kitchen counter tops. I'd like to see see depth at 381 mm or 15 in. Also, I know the E61 and big knobs are all the rage but frankly don't like that big bulky look especially in a small kitchen. It will dominate the entire kitchen and look like the bigger than even the fridge! I prefer the sleeker look of like the La Spaziale Dream-T.
Thanks for you feedback, the depth will be this deep as the drip tray, boiler and water tank all have to fit in, not sure about the machine you mention We will check it out
Great vids btw. Can you tell me your opinion on the Rocket Expresso Water Reservoir Filter?
Just put a good filter under the sink and use this tap to fill the tank up. The filter jugs do not provide enough filtration from our service experience
Important : set the boiler pressure at 1,1 bar maximum and the extraction pressure at 9 bars (of course you have to open the machine) and the result in cup will be much better
Did you adjust the brew pressure down? I’ve heard they come with the pressure set around 13-plus bars.
It’s a vibration pump, many of these machines increase the pressure to help brew better. You can open the expansion valve if you wish. The older machine with vibrating pumps were set to 9 bar, but honestly the 13 pressure has proved to be very good on many models
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters thanks for the response!
I like your videos and I like appartmento too. I had already made my mind to that appartmento is the most suitable for me until I saw one video where decent machine did shine. A lot of things that you can control. I need your opinion about decent machine, this would be much appreciated. Thanks
Yes the decent is great at extraction changes, I have yet to play on one but I hope to do so in about 6 weeks. 👍🏻 from my knowledge the steaming is lacking a little and you can only do one thing at a time, but the if you’re chasing Esprssso performance the decent is the one to go for
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Thanks, your swift response is much appreciated
👊🏻 we love getting feedback and answering questions, even if we don’t have the answer we will try our best. 🤙🏻
01:48 - I thought the boiler in the Appartamento was not insulated - or have they started doing this with newer versions?
I thought all rockets did this, I maybe I’m wrong, I’ll pul the top off and check.👍🏻
I think it wasn’t for appartamento
Hi Luke. What coffee boiler temperature do you use in the shop, considering your coffee dose is quite high?
We set out lm’s to 92.5 it works great fir our roast profiles.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters thanks!
Is this the machine for me? Absolutely!
Can I afford it? Absolutely not!
We can always dream! Or win lotto! Who knows if we get a big enough channel we could start to give away rocket machines!! (Did you hear that rocket? 😂)
If I buy this in the us at whole latte love would it still come with the bottomless portafilter?
You would have to check with them, sorry
How is this machine compared to Breville Dual Boiler?
The breville dual boiler is great value for money. The longevity of a breville will not last the same as a Giotto. These can be rebuilt and we frequently service models that are 10 to 15 years old.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters hi sir🙋🏻♂️, can this machine handle 30 to 40 max cups a day? plan to put it in office
Is a dual boiler or not
No, its a HX - heat exchange machine, you can steam, extract and use hot water at the same time. great machine, very well built. if your in Australia we can ship this to you. 👍
