- Green juice juicing is one of the INSTANT healthiest things you can do. Sure it tastes nasty, but think of it as medicine, not a treat. Do you want to heal or don't you? Bitter is so much better for you than sweet. Stop the orange juice and try green juice for a few weeks and watch what happens! If you can't stand the taste, pdissolve a wild berry on your tongue beforehand www.markusberry.com for more info. Juicer health benefits start with greens stuff. We can just do this in the Vitamix right? We don't have to juice it?
@@rmuscat1276 i personally don't have a juicer. Yes, you can just put the veggies in a Vitamix with some water to help it. Then strain the fiber through a nut bag or a mesh strainer to get only the juice.
@@SwahaChris thank you but I don't even use the bag because I want the fiber and the juice and not the mess. I just put it all in a smoothie cup and drink it or chew it also trying to mix it with my saliva before I swallow.
Interested to know what are collared greens? My online search came up with different possibilities such as colewort, cabbage and spinach?
@@Rabbitunderground It's a dark leafy green.
The NAMA arrived over holiday, it's been used like crazy here! No produce ever needs to go to waste with endless possibilities we can create with the juices-YUM!🍏
Wow u just opened my mind to juicing vegetables like asparagus, and broccoli. I’ve taught we should juice only sweet things but you’ve now taught me “bitter is better”! Love itt
I'll be making this. I actually like the bitter taste of greens, rather than sweet mixed in. I don't juice salad lettuce leaves (green leaf, romaine, etc.), because they are not bitter enough on their own. I use Green Apple when desired. Thanks Dara! 🥳
I went to the comments first and I must say, quite the lovefest. Now I have to watch the video! : )
Sprouts are not expensive if you grow them most of the time, and it is extremely easy. All you need are mason jars and seeds in bulk. I grow my own veggies this way
what she had on the table were actually microgreens... still fairly easy, but you need a tray with dirt or coco cor
@@theozarksjourneytoself-suf5420 I thought they looked a little too long lol
Markus and Cara, thank you so much for that big, bright GREEN print on the left!!! My eyes have trouble but THAT I could see. THANK YOU!
Acohol does not taste good but people drink, so the best is drink green juice 💚
I love this juice, but I have always enjoyed bitter foods. Thank you for always inspiring us to eat and juice healthy ❤️ Have a blessed Sunday.
Thank you, Cara for sharing this juice with us. I completely agree with you. When I have my bitters it puts a smile on my face. When my liver is happy, I'm happy. Asparagus and arugula are my favorite greens. You make the best juices.
I will add asparagus to my green juice it would be a great addition! I love your videos!
I LOVE my green juice- I take mine with garlic and lemon (but I save the ginger for my beet juice) I use kale, collards spinach chard and I like celery for a bit of the salt taste.
There’s ma gurl giving me my weekly inspiration! I don’t know WHAT is wrong with me lately, but my salads have been making me SO sick lately! Like…sick. So this is a much better way to get my greens in! Happy New Year to my 2 favorite people! Cyberhugs, LA 🎉❤ 😘
Get your probiotics-
@@Knochensplitter Good point! I will work on that. Maybe it will help me hold my salads down better.

Cara, u r an inspiration! I have told many friends about you. Most of them look for your videos & have loved them.
The new juicer looks good my friend. My green juice consist of cucumber, lemon, green apple, ginger, parsley, cilantro dandelion it's a morning staple
Sounds great!
I love Green juices. Leafy Greens like spinach, nettle, Packchoi, Postelein, wild herbs or similar, combined with cucumber, sellerie and sometimes fennel. I have to try asparagus also.
Had slacked off during the winter...hhhh sticking with this again. Thank you Cara, you are so encouraging! Please do more juicing videos
phenominal nutritional truth. you're ABSOLUTELY right. Bitter IS better. thank you for doing such a tell-it-like-it-is juice video!!! I'm on day 48 of a juice fast and it's the nasty juices that deliver the broadest spectrum of nutrition. no contest. only thing I would change is not to add citrus whole. the rind can be eaten whole but not in large or reoccuring quantities. it has powerful antimicrobial properties that are pretty potent. eating more than one citrus whole made me vomit once. thanks so much for the content!! you've given me the next step in courage to just MAKE the nasty juice and get it down!
Please, more details. As of this writing, a 50 day fast? How much juice per day? Are you juicing sweet fruits? Eating ANY solid foods, spices, condiments, nut or seed milks? Have you lost weight? Still have cravings? How's your energy? Sleep well at night or stare at the ceiling? Your goal?
@@broadcasttttable approx 6 liters of juice/day. eating nothing. just juices. 50% fruit, 50% veggie juices. lost approx 10lbs. energy is much much better. lots of insomnia. my goal to overcome chronic illness I've struggled with all my life. a great foundational start. but just the beginning. wish you well.
@@ErikaLabounty So appreciate the quick response! Just a quick followup: do you mix the fruit/veggies together or consume separately? How long before you started seeing the mucoid plaque expelled from your body? What's your juicer brand and model?
Cara… so nice to see you. Thank you!!I love green juice everyday!! 💚🥬🥒
Awesome information. I try to slow rpm juice every 3 days. Beets, collards, carrots. Got to add lemons. Thanks .
Love you guys. ❤
Absolutely Cara drink your greens, I blend my greens in my Vitamix ☺
I’m on 3rd day juicing and today I honestly added green formula in to aid in my feeling of being tired and restore some energy. I drink green homemade juice 3-4 times weekly naturally although I’m doing it without eating food to help cleanse my body. Homeschooling our 4 children I needed a boost lol. Thank you as your both such a tremendous blessing to many ❤
Love you Cara😘😘you are such an inspiration to stay healthy and invest the right way 👍🏻❤️❤️
I actually put collards in my juice today along with a cucumber, celery and.....a granny Smith apple. Oh and ginger.
Such a healthy choice of greens to juice! Yes, growing sprouts can be easy and a great addition to your diet!
You are so inspiring Cara, thank you for being you ❤

That's a powerhouse of a juice
Love this so much! The outro music was also so lovely
Wahoo! That juice recipe looks great. I have never added bell peppers that will be interesting
Cara, you’re amazing! I love your videos. You are so inspiring and I am changing my life because of you and Markus. Thank you!
They inspired me years ago and it was the best thing that could have happened to me! A lot of people share advice and have opinions about health, but these two really have it together. Very good example ✌️
THANK YOU for saying that it doesn't taste good! So many people say they like it, but I think it's HORRIBLE. It actually makes me gag...
I do a similar juice. Also with cilantro, olive oil, tomatoes and some spices in to taste. Not sure if it's healthy or not but increases enjoyment factor.
Where I live that juice would cost me around $20-25! I love all the greens but I prefer to make them into a non-sweet smoothie to get the fibres too…
I just made a variation of this, and it didn’t taste bad at all!😊
The Nama J2 seems all the rage these days! Looks like a lot of foam though. Does it always produce that much foam (oxidized to the max) ? Thanks for the video. The two of you rock.
I think Verticals typically create a lot of foam when juicing mostly Greens. They do better with fruits. I juice mostly Greens. I did not like the necessity to mix & alternate Greens with carrots or beets or apples to reduce the foam. The excessive foam from my Verticals made me get rid of them. Also the cleaning got annoying after years of juicing.
@@livlifluv I agree. Thanks for confirming. I went to a two stage juicer which is the absolute best at juicing greens. The only part of the two stage juicing that I do not care for is cleaning the press clothes .
@@marramamba7629 Welcome. Ditto about the cleaning clothes!
Agree with you, I'm taking advantage of the spring bloom and incorporating wild green juice into my diet every day. Nettle, dandelion, lambsquarter, and one or two others I don't know the names of, but I've tested to be safe. Vile stuff! Sometimes I have to sit down, have had the urge to vomit (but don't), can feel the energy going up my spine, and the feeling of well-being (after the first reaction) tells me the bod likes it even though I don't. BTW, like you I'm using a Nama J2 juicer, and it doesn't seem to like the wild stuff. Am currently waiting on a replacement hopper because it would stop turning and start vibrating. Only had the machine since February. Don't know what or if I'm doing something wrong.
What do you do with that foam created on top of the juice? Isn't it also packed with nutrients?
Thank you for this recipe! I never knew asparagus can be juiced. I'll give it a try!
Green juice is the best I a thallus crave it , I do however use 1 green apple in my entire batch I also add jalapeño celery , my Nama juicer best investment ever just used my dehydrator for the first time today ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing this video,I have made this juice all the time
That looks delicious & we both know how good you're going to feel after drinking it! I hope you took that leftover scrap fiber & made some yummy raw crackers too :D
My Green Juice is very similar to this one. I just don't use all the different things at once. It depends on what I have in the garden and what I can get at the store.
Very good stuff! Anti parasite for sure.
Never juice parsley. It's high in oxalates and, yes, juicing concentrates the oxalates. Also. substitute bitter arugula for spinach. It has a fraction of the oxalates of spinach and it gives you all of the benefits of a bitter green.
How much of the greens would you have to drink in order for the oxalates to have any affect? I've heard it would be an unrealistic amount.
Arugula is so delicious. It’s the base for all my green goodness.
@@philiciabernard it Really depends on the Person. If i Were you, i would be careful. At least i am
PLEASE TELL ME THE JUICER YOUR USING, I REALLY LIKE THE WIDE LID. YOU WERE ABLE TO GET HANFULS OF GREENS IN THERE. THAT JUICE YOU MADE LOOKS AMAZING. THANK YOU FOR SHARING. YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND ARE AWESOME.

Today is my 8 day of a juice fast and I had a plethora of vegetables in it. Not quite like this one but close.

Can you do this in a vitamix? I don’t own a juicer yet?
Yes, I've done green juices with my Vitamix before. You blend it like a smoothie, usually needs some water added. Then you put it through a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and push down on it with a spatula until all that's left is the dry pulp.
I dont think its that bad either. I love using dandelion and bok choy together.
Thank you for the inspirational reminder.
I feel like that juice would taste sort of good, am I crazy? Also asparagus in a green juice?? I will have to try that...
I love my green juice and energy soup. I would never add apple. Yuck. I do like celery and garlic for a savory edge, but yuck on fruit, especially banana or kiwi in my greens. Gross
Nice, It is has been while since I juice cabbage and asparagus but it make sense to juice them mostly then eating it
I love this juice doesn’t taste the best but makes me feel awesome ❤
Kale is actually quite low in oxalates. Spinach, chard and beet greens are very high, spinach is like 300 times higher than kale. Dr. Greger has a video about it on his channel.
I LOVE THAT SHIRT! …and your videos 😊
Thank you so much for educating us learning so much
I have the omega masticating juicer this nama looks great though thank you for the juicing tips
Aloha, great video! I read that adding a source of fat (nuts) help absorbing the nutrients from the greens?
Thank you for that very helpful video!
Where does Cara get her clothes? love that sweater!
I like it with celery
So you get plenty of fiber from other things in your day…. this is just a yucky tasting booster?
Juicing requires no digestion so it goes right into the bloodstream. A Chlorophyll IV. Look up the benefits of chlorophyll. Also, the bitter taste activates the vagus nerve which trigger the liver to cleanse, plus bitter helps digestion.
@@MarkusRothkranz thank you for explaining….. your reply is news to me. a long hug also stimulates the Vagus nerve 🤗
I have a few juicers and none of mine look this easy… does it say anywhere which juicer this is?
Hi Markus & Cara, Can I use pink grapefruit in the green juice drinks cleansing phase? I had a lot of them & I know they'll help make a lot of juice in addition to the cucumber, celery, & mostly greens. I could alternate them with green apples. P.S I thought of alternating with papaya (antiparasitic), but I didn't know if that's alright: probably too sweet) I know it should taste bitter, not sweet. Either way, tomatoes would be a good addition I think. Thanks a lot. Really appreciate you both helping all of us to help ourselves.😊
Papaya SEEDS are the anti parasitic part 😄
@@MarkusRothkranz Markus & Cara, You're gonna laugh... I tasted my juice & watched the video again... Next juice I made, I switched grapefruit to lemon, removed the papaya fruit (seeds next time lol), & added all kinds of wild greens from outside; especially dandelion greens, & most above suggestions etc. Wow was that bitter! But I'm surprised that the kids liked the pulp with a dash of salt. Well, I could look for veggie pulp cracker recipes for the future. Yeah, I had to clean up while I drank it because it wasn't yummy. So I know that's a good sign. If I'm low on produce, I'll add a little grapefruit with peel, but not the whole big fruit because it probably wouldn't be balanced with the greens. Thanks again you two! God bless you forever!
Wow thank you for sharing ❤
Hi Cara. I respect you and Marcus and the vital information you both share. Question: What method do you both suggest when washing your fruits and veggies. Thank you 😊
rinsing greens with filtered tap water, spraying fruit etc with veggie-wash, then rinsing
@@MarkusRothkranz ..what is veggie wash?
Hi Cara, Happy New Year! :)
Thank you! Have a great day ❤
Hey Marcus a question, that you dont think much good about Coffee thats absolute clear, what do you think about green Tea (leaves)
I found the Answer already in one of your e books haha
Wow, that's a power juice! Thank you for this awesome demonstration! Question: I make a green smoothie every day with vitamix thinking that the fiber is great for me? Is juicing healthier than just keeping the whole salad/leaves in the viitamix?
Both are good for different reasons. The juice gets nutrients right into the bloodstream. Fiber helps feed probiotics
@@MarkusRothkranz thank you, this is so helpful to know! Bless you!
This may be a funny or dumb, question, do you drink all of this juice in one sitting? Or throughout the day? Or in two days? It seems like alot of juice with all the wonderful veggies you put in it. Do you also use the Markus Green formula in it at all? or just drink the Greens Formula, VitC, separately? Thank You Cara for your inspiration!
Yes within 5 minutes because juice oxidizes within 30 minutes. The formulas are in the smoothies
Seems that kale (1:42) and collard greens (2:02) are both the same species! Brassica oleracea. So how come one has oxalates and the other doesn't?
While they both belong to the same plant family and species, collard greens and kale are different subspecies from each other. Yes Collard is part of the Acephala (kale) cultivar group, it is also classified as the variety B. oleracea var. viridis.
Collard greens are classified as Viridis, while kale is classified as Acephala. Both are high in vitamins K, A, and C, though kale has more protein compared to collard greens. Leafy greens that are highest in oxalates include beet greens, purslane, rhubarb, spinach, chard, endive, and dandelion greens. In contrast, kale, turnip greens, and collard greens have relatively low levels of oxalates. For example, beet greens have 916 milligrams of oxalate per serving, whereas collard greens only have 74 milligrams/serving. Therefore, greens vary widely in their oxalate content.
When you eat a plate of greens, the oxalates attach to the minerals in foods and block their absorption. The bound minerals are then eliminated from your body and you don’t get the benefits since they pass out of your body without the body processing them. Here is a video I did on oxalates ruclips.net/video/ZXrNH9urLEM/видео.html
What kind of Juicer are you using? It seems to be gravity feed, self feeding. I have a GreenStar that requires some physical effort to make your juice. It's a workout.
Does anyone have recommendations on juicers for greens here in European market?
Happy new year Cara.. you look so pretty.. 😍
Green ❤❤❤❤❤❤
What happened to the vitamix blender? Why are you using a juicer instead 🤔
We still blend every day. Juicing is just like an instant shot in the veins, no digestion involved- goes right into bloodstream.
@@MarkusRothkranz oh, is it. Because I have a juicer but thought that I need a blender to be able to get all of the nutrients in veggies.
Thanks for the reply 😊👍
Yeah I kicked out an ass worm from my system by drinking wormwood and doing enema the following morning. That plant is bitter, wow, it is the mother of bitterness 😅

"Juicing kale concentrates the oxalates."
If a vegetable is extremely bitter, then it might actually be poisonous. (as in the case where people keep using seeds from successive generations of the same plant like zucchini). Don't force yourself to eat it.
Likewise, poison hemlock is extremely sweet. That's why I wrote the edible plant guide so people can learn. Edibleplantguide.com
Great insight! Would you also use that paste that comes out of it for some purpose other than composting?
I guess you could fill sandbags with it and use them in case there is a flood or something
