Thanks for watching! I had a blast with this RC F. Even though it's not as fast as some would want...what do you think? Subscribe for weekly videos!
Nice to see another limited edition RC F in Texas! I own one up here in Dallas and I love it. It's a showstopper everywhere I go. While similar in performance to the LC 500, I didn't care for the interior of the LC. The over-reliance on the touchscreen is a bother. For example, scrolling three menus down just to adjust the speed of the seat cooling while trying to drive is distracting. With the RC F, I just touch one button on the dash... There is a reason we are seeing very few RC Fs on the used car lot and far more LC 500s.
That’s awesome man! You’ve got yourself a sweet ride. Good point on the buttons...so much more convenient to simply push a physical button. Thanks for watching ! 👍
A lot of people complain that a car isn’t as fast as this car, that car... blah blah but in all reality a lot of these cars have a lot of power on a day to day basis. Nobody really goes to the track, 99% of driving is street. I would rather have a comfortable, quick & stylish car 🥵
Great point! I’m guilty of it, but like you said it’s great for everyday street driving. You can still thoroughly enjoy this car in many ways. Thanks for watching!
Prime Autotainment No problem man, I like your reviews. But that was just a thought I thought I would share because I hear a lot of journalists say that.
Correction: The car comes alive when fully redlining at over 7300 rpm. Maximum power is at 7100 rpm. I don't see that anywhere in the video. RCF does have a variable gear ratio steering (VGRS). It tighten and quickens up the most in sport+ mode and also is dependent on engine speed so it is at its tightest when it is in high rpm in sport+ mode. I have the RCF myself so all of this stuff is in the manual. Also, the transmission shifts the fastest with more throttle inputs and slows down at low throttle inputs. Rev matches happen at over 5000 rpm downshifts because the ratios are tight enough that they are not needed when shifting below 5000 rpm. Downshift is brutal at over 5000 rpm. RCF at full redline power feels a lot more powerful than the LC500 especially because of the almost 400 lbs weight difference. I drove them back to back before buying the RCF.
That’s my bad about the VGRS, you’re right! When talking about the Powertrain I had the redline listed at 7,300 and it sure feels great when revving it up like that. That’s awesome you have one...thanks for the correction, sorry about that!
@@PrimeAutotainment Thanks. Yeah, RCF is a Jekyll and hyde car. They put two distinct personality. It is sedated and subdued in normal mode and at low rpms. Once you dial up all of the settings with TVD in 'slalom' mode and rev it up to 7300 rpm (cut off at 7450 rpm) then the car completely becomes an animal. If you redline and then let off then downshift to lower gear (say 3rd to 2nd), you are going to jump out of your seat as to how brutal the throttle blips are.
Lexus is defiantly a really nice car manufacturer. Their cars are really luxurious from the inside and very sporty from the outside. For sure a beautiful car.
