  • One of the keys to hitting a good quality wide forehand is the movement and preparation. If you don’t get set up in the right position in time, the chances of you hitting a good forehand go down dramatically.
    In this video I break down the movement to the wide forehand and show you some simple drills you work on.

    funny, just come home from tennis and was wondering about the footwork of the wide backhand. thanks, great video! but still, what about the footwork when you really have to run full speed to get the ball? that´s what i am still not sure about. maybe it is time for a slice then? all the best

    Hey, FYI the description for the video is talking about the wide forehand. Are there any things to keep in mind when applying these patterns towards the 1HBH instead? Or are we using basically the same movements/rhythm steps?

      Yes, It's basically the same for the one handed backhand. You are still going to be loading into the left hip (as a right hander), to initiate the forward swing.
