There was nothing better than a summer day on the boardwalk and the palace. I'll never forget the great times I had growing up in my hometown Asbury park. Even though I lived upstairs from a serial killer on sixth avenue he was always nice to me. But them days at Sandy's arcade and the palace will never be forgotten
I don't mind confessing this: That gorilla? Scared....the....HELL...outta me!!!! My father had to take my 7 year old self outside, I was crying hysterically. Still got chills.....:)
I remember that ride with the monkeys on it! I insisted that I go on it and scared the mess out of me! I wish there was a video of the inside! I only had memories of it until now, thanks!
that was the first carousel I rode at age 7, I was not allowed to have a horse of my own so this was the next best thing, plus the music I have always loved. I am a trombonist, note the cherubs around the center of this carousel, charming
For band organ experts this from 150 composite roll #13300-13308 within' the roll i heard "Hosia Siusia", "Bride And Groom Polka", "Laroo Laroo Lillie Bolero", and "Let Us Be Gay" (start only).
@@bluesone4300 Doubt you've been there in the past two years, whole place is gentrified now and not just the boardwalk area. You don't see gay pride flags in ghettos.

What was once the playground of Jersey became Camden by the sea.😡
You obviously haven't been there in a long time, Asbury is completely gentrified now.
It will never be what it once was, change is not always for the better.
@@arnoldrobinson3847 LOL. Only a couple of blocks. The rest is a ghetto.
