Praying nobody buys this stupid holowear so they learn their lesson
Tbh they can sell those skins for 100$ or 1000$ if they want. The worst thing is that its only some cloths. They probobly cant change the pokemon model, and that's why imo there will be behind other MOBAs. Just compare it to legendary skins in LoL, that change everything. Back in days I bought Aether Wing Kayle because how awsome it looks. New model, new animations, new effects, new voice. That was skin worth my money.
I don't care anymore after they nerfed my Main and called it a rework

It really depends on how the system works. You can get 5 chests per day for free, which seemingly guarantee you 3 tickets and the event runs for 20 days. So that's 5 * 3 * 20 = 300, which would mean you can get it for free if you play all 20 days. Additionally the chests themselves contain more tickets, so you can get it even earlier for free. However, one thing that may be the case is that really only the grade 4 chests guarantee you the 3 tickets.
I hope they dont base a whole updates around this 💀💀💀

Honestly, the epic/legendary (whatever they are called) skins in the shop should not even reach a cost near €20. It should be a price similar to the battlepass, at least. I wouldn't like to pay 20 euros for some pieces of clothes that aren't even animated. I still don't understand why they stopped giving them animations after the ninetales and machamp ones. It's a bit sad. + I know it won't happen but I wish they'd lower the price of the bp again... like, you already nerfed the membership???
I think that Nintendo dont allow them to change the pokemon model, and that's why the skins will always be luckluster. I remember how amazing skins in LoL are. The new concept, art, model, animations, effects, voice, personality. And are much cheeper. I was checking holoware, when i had 50% off and some diamonds, and I dont care for most of them.

I think if they want to raise the prices (battle pass, membership, etc.), they also need to raise the value.
Like, they're literally losing nothing by just adding more resources to them. I understand that it costs them money to design holowear/ pokemon, but it would cost literally nothing if they just added more coins and tickets to the battle pass and memberships.

This was the same system for the manga skin from Honor of Kings, and I legit was so confused by how to unlock it that I gave up. It's literally just pixels haha, I do not need this stress in my life.

This is the worst monetization by far in any game I've ever played. Insane prizes for a single skin. No wonder very few people can afford it. Now Timi just want to sqeeze money out of those few people instead of fixing the game so more players come back to the game.

Timi changing the monthly membership was just the beginning and it's very clear from this Sylveon holloware that they are going to prioritize monetization over anything else from this point forward. It's really sad to see such a fun game be ruined by greedy developers.
She is my second favorite Pokemon on the game but i'm about to drop at least 400 when Darkrai (my favorite pokemon of all time) comes out

I’m glad you’re talking about the membership and battle pass, I bought the membership right before they changed it cause why not and I’m actually so pissed I got it.
$10 a month for the most useless fashion items? You can take the gems away but at least keep the skins, that’s somewhat fair I’d say. Like no one actually uses stickers and portraits, I want to make my Pokémon look good; not my pfp.
And I feel like they should rotate skins onto the energy exchange, every month there’s like a 1% chance you can get a legendary skin and a 10-15% for the less rare skins.
they are now bringing the old free fire skin getting events in this game
This is just my speculation but, let's say you can get a maximum of 5 boxes per day (I see 5 slots 👀) and a guaranteed 3 special tickets per box, it costs 300 special tickets for the Sylveon holowear. It going to take 20 days if you have no other way to get more special tickets (e.g. unlucky). Current the timer for the event is 15 days and something hours but we'll round it to 16 days. 16 days is enough for 240 special tickets so you'll be missing 60. I suspect that they won't extend the timer and idk if you can even get the special tickets in the boxes, so as said not everyone might be able to get it unless the extend the timer to 20 days which makes the skin guaranteed. Though the boxes also seem to have a timer like Clash Royale which might mess up my math if you don't collect them in set time.

According to Spragels the devs are hoping for whales to spend a lot. So the expensive things aren't for most players and lowering the price wouldn't be worth it. Although most people seem to disagree.

This event starts from 27 sept- 17 oct which is 20 days gap. From each box you get 3 tickets atleast and there were 5 slots for box. Each box takes 24 hrs to open, so that is 3×5 =15 tickets per day. For 20 days it will be 15×20=300 which is just enough for this hollowear. 🤓
noticed that 24 hrs is for top tier box so other small box opening time will be less.
This event reminds me of games like clash royal/castle crush like tower defence ccg where you open chest to get rewards.
Pokemon unite also conducted a survey where they asked which other games you play and clash royal was a option. Few days ago they revealed lobby for Pokemon unite like free fire and guess what free fire was also an option in the survey for games you play. They are taking inspiration from other games.
Where did you find the information of it ending on october 17? So far I haven't seen anything mention the end date

Instead of making new skins i think they should focus more on game development.
The increasing aspects of monetization just suck. Especially that fashion item energy rewards just have not changed since release is so sad.

I remember liking pokemon unite so much when it released because it was really about spending money if you wanted to. Purchasable skins for you and your pokemon without real money and events that grants you exclusive skins and other cosmetics? Amazing! It makes me sad to see the path they're going for. Now there's a million ways to get you to spend your money and, if they AT LEAST invested all this cash into making the game better like matchmaking and new modes, then it would be a bit more justifiable. But adding a gacha to the game is for real the last straw, it for real screams greediness. This season's weird as hell because I got so many bot matches in ranked mode, it's as if people are leaving the game and rightfully so...
And it's not about not being able to get the skin, it's about how predatory the game is becoming. How greedy they're getting and how shitty the game is right now. We've been complaining about so much stuff for 3 years straight now and they never gave a fuck. Timi doesn't care about their players, they care about money and always will because they know there's people who'll keep playing the game, specially the whales
It's a play on the Crystal Rose league of legends skin line which is equally expensive.
I’ve had the membership since day 1 they introduced it and they lost my monthly contribution with this change and then making it everything more expensive was like a slap in the face on top of it. Maybe if the game state/matchmaking wasn’t so bad I’d still care enough but they’ve just about lost me at this point

I stop playing this game and while I love watching you, Pokemon unite hasn't done anything to make me want to come back especially with the price jump they're doing while not doing anything to bring the value up or have done anything for f2p players that's not just making us work for two to three weeks for a pokemon once a year. And this new holowear isn't going to make someone like myself come back to the game especially with how much things cost cause the Monetization in this game sucks and how much they want you to work for anything.

Maybe is the best, but its still same pokemon with hat, jacket and backpack. Compare it to any legendary skin in LoL (~15$). Holowares over all are worst than regular skins, change my mind.

honestly, a majority of the holowear in this game just doesnt appeal to me. for my tastes most are either too feminine (i like cutesy! but im not into dresses, etc), too busy, or both (like this).
unfortunately, i dont see them dropping prices anytime soon. its true that more folks would be likely to buy holowear if it were cheaper, but as long as theres still enough whales, milking those guys for all theyre worth with higher priced microtransactions is just more profitable than a lot of small purchases from the playerbase as a whole.
ive only spent money in unite once, mostly because there was a bonus of like 10,000 aeos coins or something with any purchase of gems. got myself that rad punk blaziken holowear. the greninja pass skin has really been tempting me to but... i think for me, the quality of the game itself is the biggest thing holding me back from spending money in it. i cant bring myself to put my money into a game with a matchmaking experience so frustrating that i feel at risk of quitting for good at any given moment.
meanwhile, i caved and started buying the lil $8 monthly passes in cafe remix within my first month of playing because i was having a blast and could see myself sticking with it long term. the game is fun, and there are events constantly, so theres always something to do. unite just doesnt have that sort of reliable enjoyment for me, even though as a whole i like it way more than cafe remix. when its good its GREAT, but so often its just frustrating.

Skin culture in video games has gotten ridiculous. In competitive games especially, devs know they can bump up prices as much as they want because players are addicted.
Skins in this game costing $20 is absolutely insane, and in other games they are inflated even more. Valorant can charge $50 for one skin and don't get me started on the cs marketplace.
