I love the rc10t, I’m super excited they did a rerelease even though I have an original sport 10T with the gold shocks and bushings. I bought a rerelease so now I have 2 “sport” trucks :)
I have a thunder tiger st2 stadium truck that's a shelf queen, bought it off Ebay 9 years ago for £40 and it came with the original controller and acerc esc ,servo, motor, receiver
Yeah, we all have other stuff to do apart from rc stuff. Just having a shed built for a workshop, not bad for working out of my van for 3 years still waiting for the floor to be installed, space to paint and fettle till my hearts content. AWESOME build, same size as a 20ft container when it's done. 😮😮😮
I think it was called the "sport" version. Gold shocks and bushings but they did not sell very well. The team kit was all I ever saw. If I remember right, the sport version came out later than the team kit.
I had the teams car. So that would be great. My childhood buddy had the gold pan and 10t. So now, of course I do... 😆 so, a teams rere and a worlds rerere car for me please!!! Can't wait to see how you do box art. I've been waiting on a video for this one! Please show your process if you have time. Thank you sir!!!
I wish I could be excited about Stadium trucks like nearly everyone else is. That and I'm waiting for Associated to rere a non anniversary garden variety RC10 buggy for us plebs.
Hey Gavin, i have never written a comment to you about any of your videos but I have watched a lot of them (and yes I am a subscriber) but I wanted to let you know that I had to call team associated to get the springs that go in the stub axles ( my kit didn't have them) and also a new slipper lock nut and spring, and I dealt with Aldo and he was awesome to work with on my problem so the truck is good now. I will also say that having bought the original RC-10T back in the day when it was first released i was very disappointed in the instruction manual compared to the original one, in fact the new manual does not show or mention the springs that i talked about and also i was a little irritated like others have mentioned that the manual didn't mention the ball diff adjustment ( I'm sure you've noticed this by now), it does run good just like i remember! anyway hope yours goes well!!
Come on Tamiya re re the hilux monster racer with a fixed chassis so it stops cracking in the front near the shock mount. Best looking stadium truck ever.
They need to do a RC10L kit. Super simple car to make and a lot more fun to drive than the DS if you had a smooth parking lot. Heck, they could do an RC12E just to celebrate the early years that gave them the power to branch out and grow. That car would cost them a few dollars per kit to make since they were so simple and lets face it, the box art and shelf queens are a huge part of why these vintage cars sell. Makes more sense than the clear kits that they spend a ton of money to manufacture.
Here is a new idea you haven't touched on yet ya need an rc10gt for the collection I know it's nitro but it is one of the most important rc cars ever!!!
I canceled my 10t order cause the box shows stadium front tires but AE ships it with skinnies up front. Lame. And for the price they should’ve included bearings.
The manual is pretty poor, and you can bet your life on it, that no one built one with it before they sent it to print 😂 steering turnbuckle length is a mile out, and no instruction on how to set the diff. But mines built and hopefully on track at the weekend for are last outdoor meeting 👍
Started selling parts for it so that’s a good sign but after market companies had this covered or even were doing a better job so it’s not really a game changer.
The manual is not great at all and they obviously never tried building on with it. There have been a lot of reports of missing/incorrect parts, poorly molded or warped parts and other issues. They seem to have rushed the releases this year a bit too much and the QC is being very lax with a lot of things. From the reports of some long time Associated folks rolling out it seem Thunder Tiger is really ruling the decision making and it is not sitting well. I hope they are not going to screw this up, drive this into the ground and just focus on making really ugly RTRs
Yeah the instructions in the rere kits haven't been the best but the good thing about AE is they still have all the old documentation available on their website. I'm just happy to see these back in production and the fact that there's parts support is great! Just keep in mind there are some changes in parts. For example the diff outdrives and trans case are different on the rere than they are on the original as the new diff assembly is slightly narrower the diff case has spacers molded in for the bearings so you can't really use an old diff in a new case without modifying the case or swapping the outdrives to the new ones. most of the other parts should crossover without an issue though.
Kind of normal for the RC10, RC10CC, RC10T, RC10B7. It's just how AE do it. Kyosho and Tamiya have the presentation aspect down on the "special" kits but the normal kits are just the same as AE.
Disappointed in this RC10T kit. Goodluck trying to get the front end together smoothly. Those metal support bars from the metal pan to the nose do not fit as they should at all. Nothing lines up properly. In fact, you'll have to have everything out of proper alignment to get it to go. Instructions are very poor. Mine also had warped diff case. Needs a lot of shims. And no bearings for that price. Stick with Kyosho or even Tamiya re-releases.
So good to have you back Gavin. You was missed you were! ;-)
Back to normal after a few weeks off sorting out house DIY before winter.

Glad you all could get this one across the pond. Hopefully not too many bought from resellers.
I think it is a great car. Have finished mine and am really impressed of it's handling. The manual could be much better, though!

This is the rerelease of the Sport Truck (gold shocks, bronze bushings, etc...). I hope the competition version, the Team Truck !
Great that you've managed to get one mate, awesome stuff!!
Yep, I really didn't thing I would get one as the UK was getting such a small allocation. Good to see more have now become available.
With the stock issue I wonder about spare parts an ability now but especially down the road.
Rc10 t came factory stock with gold shocks. There was a team addition that came with the Teflon cote black ish color shocks.

Thanks for watching the show and for the build info :)
Hi i love the video’s and the timing was perfect I’m just doen with my homework 🎉🎉🎉
Come on Tamiya re re the hilux monster racer with a fixed chassis so it stops cracking in the front near the shock mount. Best looking stadium truck ever.
I built mine as a runner and I was able to complete against modern mid motor cars and beat them
Cool

I don'y thing so but I'm sure it will come and go and before you know it, all online stock has vanished.

Just remove the anodizing on the gold shocks

I have been hearing the same things.
Morning Gav….
Morning 👍🏻👍🏻
Gold shocks and bushings. What a joke. Childhood dream will just stay a dream. -U10
Best to find a vintage set.

The kit presentation is not great it looks like it was just thrown in the box

Not doing it for you this one.

Wow, sorry to hear you had a bit of a nightmare with your kit. I will let you know how this one goes together.
