I've been driving my RTR Capra daily for 6 months now. I LOVE this truck. I added stainless steel skid-plates to protect the pumpkins from rocks eventually wearing through as they did my TRX-4 Sport after 6/mo of driving it. I also pulled the receiver plug on the DIG's servo and zip-tied the DIG's activation arm into constant 4WD. the dumb placement of the DIG's buttons on the controller was bad enough. But when the WiFi signal to my cordless headphones was found to be also erroneously activating the DIG I completely disabled that superfluous, completely unneeded sales gimmick so it could never again piss me off by erroneously activating.
Very informative, currently have a Traxxas Big foot. Researching for a rock crawler that comes complete and this one is on the top of the list. Do not want to do a bunch of upgrades so looking for something like this. Thanks for the video.
I put a fpv camera on my Axial Bomber(inbetween driver and copilot) , for running around on flat ground is not bad. Would want it mounted on top for crawling, need to see the rocks for tire placement.
Don't get me wrong I love my original ax10 scorpion my scx10 my girls scx10 and my brothers original ax10 & scx10, but after HorizonHobby bought them out... I'll be going with a traxxas trial truck w/2 speed transmission locking diffs portal axels optional track set and so much more... axial was my no1 favorite brand fir many years then they sold out to a company that mixes toy grade with hobby grade and destroys name brand companies with junk short cuts and proprietary bs. Really hope you have a blast and enjoy the experience as much as me and mine have for years! 🥃cheers🍻

Great video!! I just wanted to ask about the UPAIR two 4K + 3D; how on earth do you calibrate that drone? I have tried to do so in the app but it keeps failing. I tried a software program called qgroundcontrol but I am not sure if that will help if I need to calibrate the compass each time I fly the drone anywhere I take it.
@@dronecamps yeah, we could put a Runcam in there, and slave a VTx off the transmitter. But would the jarring and motion be too much to visually "drive" it? Maybe some kinda motion dampening...
so weird back in the day i raced 10th scale trucks and cars the only brands worth buying were losi,associated, trassas,hpi, i loved my associated t10,one two and three and the b10's buggys and the speed controllers that were the best were greedy,and of course futuba radio and receiver and brushed motors which went buy turns of the copper wire thicker wire less turns = torque and the 6-7 cell 7.2 nimh batteries and peak charges were the best those batteries had a memory unlike lipos lol 20+ years ago
Reedy and Novak. Those guys used to be at the place I used to race my RC 10 in the 80s as a kid. I remember when we first started ditching the servo controlled speed controllers and were switching to ESCs. Yep. Hand modded brushed motors. Pain in the ass 😆. Can’t remember the names of all those tricked out motors you could buy off the shelf. . .Good times :)
@@sideburn i remember the analog style speed controllers then the orange novaks with the big heat sink were the best lol we raced on felt indoors winters dirt in the summer
- SICKFAST yep. There was a hobby store near me with an indoor off road track. Novak and his orange giant heat sink speed controller was the new thing. He was there all the time and just getting his business going. Oh! And the bad ass custom wound brushed motors were REEDY. I remember now :) I guess I remembered the name but forgot reedy was the motors!
@@sideburn yep and the string of 20 12v bulbs to drain the battery packs completely i think those packs the nihm are why ppl think lipo's need to be conditioned cuz those old batteries had a memory i had this delta peak charger that would condition a battery for a 4 minute race oh and the brush juice you put on your brushes right befor the race it was like a 200 shot of nitrus lol good times and the tire softner we had for the foam tires i ended up building a little lathe to shape my tires
- SICKFAST haha yep I forgot about those discharge bulbs 😂! They were Ni-Cd batteries and I think you are right. And then the lipos came out and it was the exact opposite. Drain to zero and the battery is ruined. Haha.
I personally don't understand the attraction when you could buy a used TJ wrangler and do this stuff for real. I cant however pick up a plane capable of 8+G and vertical flight for a few grand

These things are a lot of fun. I took the head off of the driver and replaced it with a micro camera and VTX to do some fpv crawling.

ABSOLUTELY calibrate every time you start a new flying session. Wherever it is.
Heiple2007 is it better to do so with upair app or with the Qground control software?
