I fell in love with this song when I heard it live at the JTT 2019. I’m shocked to say that what I heard live last year was just as good as this performance, if not better. I wasn’t alive when this concert took place, so the U2 of the 2000’s + is all I know. They are still absolutely magnificent.
I saw this actual show. The best concert I've ever seen and I've seen a lot! There's a version of 'bullet the blue sky' on RUclips from the same show: the sky is darker because it was an evening show. Everything about that concert was tremendous. I'm glad they still kill it live.
This is the real U2, A rambling gypsy band, with folk and American country roots. Bono was the real deal, he had it all as a frontman. The band behind him were quality, and subtle at the same time. Absolutely vintage.
Even the band admit they have no folk and American country roots. They tried this sound on, and it worked some of the time, but this is no more "the real U2" than Achtung Baby or anything else they did.
Probably my favorite U2 era Joshua Tree, and Rattle and Hum albums, This song, Trip Through your wires, Red Hill mining town, God's Country, Heartland,, God part 2, Tin can town are my favorites
Look at the cameraman whos looks middle aged hes smiling his ass off Bonos smiling at him so cool The Joshua Tree is regarded as this mahogany serious baroque masterpiece and one of the most happy songs ever written.
This is the best song on "The Joshua Tree". It still blows my mind it never got played on the radio. It leaves so many of their radio hits in the dust with regard to hooks, melody, and emotion.
Thanks so much for this post! This is one of my all-time favorite U2 songs and THIS is one of my all time favorite renditions of this song. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
I used to crank this DVD and wake up the neighbours!!!! Now I rock on in my bedroom with the headset on!! I love the multi-colored tape on Bono's mic!!!😀
Wow! Time train to the past, To the days where there was taste, and purpose, manners and intentions, and a sweet singer name Bono, Singing with red rose and standing with fire in his mouth. There were days....
How about the guitar in this song. The Edge either from the edge of town OR the way he plays guitar. Not only that but Joshua Tree tour dominated the airwaves !!!
Lions at the heart of their prime, top of game, not about to let another pretender to the throne even a sniff at competition. ready to devour, ready to eat young, angry at even those presuming to smack at bits of their leftovers. What ever happened to this fuck-all visceral wolf pack.
The Paris set is far superior to the recent Madison square garden concert, think they were going to release the Paris one but then thought they’d go with the Rattle n Hum concept.
the greatest optical illusion, the bass player's face (the one who looks like Egon Spengler from 'Ghostbusters') is positioned next to the microphone He doesn't sing
What happened to your shows, mates? My daughter and I just went to see you in L.A. a couple of weeks ago, and although there were some great moments, it was too hi-tech and staged for hundreds of onstage cameras. The concert was too short, and had a horrible ending. Please go back to old school '80s.
This song is so under rated.
ShazGreenock Incredibly
could not have said it better myself....if they had stuck to this blueprint, it might have been scary.
not to knock evolving artistically.
Wow feel the emotion go right through!!!!
It’s not.
Carlos Betancourt What ?
The Edges backing voice is gorgeous
ya man
Tal Aviram Wooooooooooooooooo
Came for the song, stayed for Bono's scrunchie and friendship bracelet.
Amanda Allen LoL you did not haha haha
80's was the best decade of music...
Larry’s drumming in this is very underrated
He's indeed a very talented and gifted drummer. Wish he were appreciated more

Jamison Lamkin Awesome response 👍
Wow the Energy and Charisma they produce!
Even the band admit they have no folk and American country roots. They tried this sound on, and it worked some of the time, but this is no more "the real U2" than Achtung Baby or anything else they did.

Gary Oldman getting crazy at the bar!
Bono on fire
Lions at the heart of their prime, top of game, not about to let another pretender to the throne even a sniff at competition. ready to devour, ready to eat young, angry at even those presuming to smack at bits of their leftovers. What ever happened to this fuck-all visceral wolf pack.
UNOS MUSICOS YJENIOS DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS
Harmonica to a tune :D x
Rolita tan chingona
Phenomenal lyrics, poetic, inspired by bible verses or at least most of their songs come from bible verses or are inspired by the verses.
When Bono was cool, just a simple rock and roll singer.
Octavio Andrade Jr. Right!
I AGREE WITH YOU
What a singer 👍..
I agree 100%
A pure soul without the influence of outside sources corrupting his spirit
sexy hot Bono!!!
Mega sexy 🤤🤤
Maria Pratiwi Did he say WET MY LIPS omg I’m going to pass out lol
The Paris set is far superior to the recent Madison square garden concert, think they were going to release the Paris one but then thought they’d go with the Rattle n Hum concept.

A performance so good that even the drum tech is rocking out while working on Larry's drums - ruclips.net/video/ldvTYPhvhTM/видео.html

dab4546 They are nearly 60 now, they don’t have thee energy to be innovative on stage anymore so they did it in other ways.
Absolutely awful camera work
