My Favourite Album of Alltime
Side two of AB, is really stunning. It gets as dark as U2 ever has. I absolutely adore that side of that record. It’s as captivating as any record side I could ever think of.
That Trilogy of songs to close the album were always favorites of mine. I still love the dark mood that it sets to this day.
@@joealtamuro Yes, those last three tracks! If it wasn't for the weaker tracks on the album it would be considered greater than Joshua Tree.

This is so good it’s actually painful. Bono’s story telling lyrics, Larry’s pounding drums, Adam’s relentless bass and one of The Edge’s greatest guitar pieces. I’ve just watched 4 master craftsmen at work. Flawless.
Still a Top 5 song of theirs for me, and I've been following them since 1984. 😂❤🎉😅

Absolutely phenomenal! The guitar & drums is the pure genius of that band ....... What a fantastic song live, exactly like the album but so so exciting live!! You can just tell why these guys have been so successful for as long as they have, pure talent right there & I love em ❤🙏😊

Makes you wonder why it took so long to play it live. I heard all kinds of things through the decades about songs that are unwieldly live. I stayed away from this for a long time because yep, you might be disappointed and agree with them that some of their special songs just can't be done live in the way that you might want to hear them. But this seems easy. Everyone relaxed. I'm sure the song was happy to be finally out there live to join its Achtung family - the last one. Bet it regrets missing ZOOTV though.

I like that less-saturated guitar sound for this live version. It still gets its point across, but it definitely sounds less produced. That should be the case when comparing live vs studio, I guess. Both have their pluses. This was a nice change-up though.
I'll be honest. I would have liked to actually see the Edge play..but all the flickering lights ..ffs...Gibson sound...🤔
