I love that you think ahead for things like this 😁, what food place you're around and will see all the time is what can get at you so choosing your favorite and something that you won't (and may lol) regret is the best choice in my opinion. And a food funeral I love it, how many of those I've done pffft 🤗
Oh and I have officially moved the scale in my favor and have lost 8 pounds😊! Now that I can get some swim exercise in over the summer I'm hoping that'll at least double for my next weigh in and I can finally feel confident in myself to start the next step in my weight loss journey.
I'm so happy for you and I wish you the best of luck!!!

Lea, first off, CONGRATS!! 8 pounds is huge!! I swim all year round and absolutely love it!! I swim about 1.5 miles in an hour and love that I can burn 1500 calories at a time (at least right now, as I weigh less the less the calories burned).
I think about a ton of stuff ahead of time. I hate being caught without something!! Hence the robe buying today!! I haven’t had a robe in years and I don’t want to buy something online (because I have found TONS of cute stuff) and have it not fit.

Lol! I love it Lynn!! I figured since I can have steak a month or two after surgery I wanted something horrible for me that I won’t eat again! If I had somewhere nearby who did donut bun burgers I would totally eat that!!

Eeeuuuuwwww!!! Not me. Now I did eat a lot of ice cream. I do dump so ice cream isn't on the menu plan anymore. I've thought of trying Halotop but ice cream is such a trigger for me. Might be best to avoid!

I love ice cream but it doesn’t love me!! I have a slowly worsening lactose intolerance that is pushing me out of dairy (except for cheese). I will indulge on occasion but sometimes I can’t handle it. Like yesterday, I bought my sister an ice cream cake for her birthday, Dairy Queen my favorite, and didn’t eat a bite. I also stayed at her house until the closest DQ was closed because I NEEDED a piece of ice cream cake. I think that it’s going to take a full on heaving, puking, sick as a dog dumping syndrome for me to give it up.

Be aware that after surgery, lactose intolerance occur or it can get worse. Reason cheese does ok is that most of the lactose is strained out in the process of making cheese. Greek yogurt is much lower in lactose than other dairy products for the same reason. I've found since surgery, that dairy doesn't agree with me but I do ok with yogurt & cheese.

Lynn I honestly expected it to get worse, so no huge deal. I really hope I develop a taste for yogurt after surgery because right now I can’t stand it!! The bariatric trifecta (or quadfecta) of yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese, and sour cream taste absolutely awful to me.
