Respectfully speaking he's not the fastest or most technical player but damn, he has a certain grove that just rocks... and in my books that's what makes him one of the best.
Several years ago, I watched this video and googled this guy. then I found the band called GNR. and a few others. Then I started to play guitar. 2 years ago I finally saved enough money to buy my very first Lespaul. And I play it every day.
Piergiovanni Gianpollo He does have fantastic technique nowadays. Look up his 2010 godfather solo with Myles Kennedy. Dude can play some pretty technical stuff nowadays.
Hi, you don't know me but I am from the future. In 5yrs time, Axl and Slash will put their differences aside and reform G'n'R. They will embark on a world tour lasting 3yrs and it will become the third highest grossing tour of all time....Enjoy!!
This man is my idol, been playin 20 years and based my style around him and im still scratching the surface, iv got a few vids up but watching him he does it so effortlessly.
cosider him as one of the greatest guitar players , and i love to se that things cause he explains how to play , not a teacher, the creator of the play do it this is priceless, ty Monster
@hossguitar G'n'R also wrote the whole song in the back of a van after leaving one gig, in an interview he say's it took the band less than 20 minutes for this song. In all my lifetime i won't do a song this good let alone 20mins, in a van!!
For the people asking in this video slash uses his Gibson AFD prototype (the very first afd guitar to be put into production) and his marshall SL5 prototype too (very first sl5 amp before the production model). Also his tone in this video is so fucking cool and this is perhaps my favourite guns song of all time :)
@@julianfarias6951 no problem, it was his prototype SL5 so it may be different to the ones you and i could buy today however i have a production SL5 and they are a fantastic amp and incredibly loud too 😎👍
@@totrodder97 I was thinking on buying one used here in Argentina. But I never knew if with this amp you can get the sound of tokyo 92 or even tones like the ones in november rain. Since those are the sounds that likes me the most!
@@julianfarias6951 the SL5 is great at getting that slash tone however it is warm sounding like on the AFD album to get that live in Tokyo sound (silver jubilee amp) I use a Marshall guvnor 2 distortion pedal in the SL5 to boost the treble and gain a little bit more, hope this helps
We Did It! We learned and played the whole song by full band minus bass...Thanks Slash!!Thanks GN'R For the awesome song ...btw the bridge riff is also a good practice
hard to say who is the best guitarrist of all times, cause there are so many diferents styles of playing guitar.Slash´s tone is,for sure, one of the best tones you will ever hear, hendrix style is almost impossible to reproduce, and page feeling on stage is something that you will probably never find again. that said,i my humble opinion the best is actualy steve vai, i mean,he is a showoff but he is amazingly creative, and moves from scale to scale on an amazing pace.
This guy does great Guns and roses covers.
Andrew L ?? he IS from Guns n Roses
angel but Slash has a Tophat that never comes off...
He does the best G'nR covers.....someone should tell Axl about this guy.
@@Urs1979 ...

Intro lead melody just sounds even better than in studio.

Xinyi chill story!
Were you living under a rock before you googled "this guy"?
@@RyanGamesYT Maybe he's young?
Slash is the perfect mix of technique and feel. He's a technical player but doesn't sound like one.
lol your so full of shit
#truth. Bet you can't play that opening riff.
>slash
>technique
pick one lol
Piergiovanni Gianpollo He does have fantastic technique nowadays. Look up his 2010 godfather solo with Myles Kennedy. Dude can play some pretty technical stuff nowadays.

This has always been my AVSOLUTE FAVORITE G N' R song ever. Hearing that intro hooked me instantly!

Mixing 50's pop with hard riffs on a Derrig is the ultimate
