Is it possible to use the degrees between the positive stops?
Yes, set it to where you want and tighten the handle
I see he only responds to good job comments and never answers a question.
Well, do you have a question? I do my best to answer questions but with the many many comments each day it is nearly impossible to answer them all. I do try and answer the questions that I think will benefit the most people
Thanks I just learned a few things from you and I had my one for a few years now 😅👍
Awesome! Glad to help!
Excellent video that helped me to decide about buying this. Did you make the video about using this fence to make box joint on the table saw? Thank you.
No, I have not. I use other methods to make box joints
Well, I bought one, from Banggood, same mitre gauge. Those 4 screws going down vertically into the angle aluminum were fine, but the aluminum angle was of such low quality I stripped the threads in two screw holes. No more Chinese made for me. Aside from that, it was a great mitre gauge upgrade...but only last 3 months.
Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I had mine for over two years and use it constantly with no issues.
had I not needed to adjust the square of the gauge I would never have stripped the screw holes. And it took little force to strip them. I will probably rebuild the mitre gauge with some good quality aluminum. @@PawPawsWorkShop
Same thing happened to me. Stripped the thread.
@@robertvelovski1192 the local metal supplier called that aluminum from China, chinesium.
I don't recall whether you said that you purchased this gauge or if it was sent to you for review. Can you clarify?
This was sent to me. That being said, I am very pleased with the quality of the product
Very good and informative thanks 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Did you ever make the video on how to use the box joint piece of this miter gauge
Thanks for the video. I’m waiting on delivery of this gauge. Gonna watch the box joint video 😅
Hope you enjoy it!
1:28 WOW!!! So easy and so helpful. This is the best Miter Gauge presentation, I´ve found on RUclips!
Thank you very much
I've just brought one ,£80 without the Box Jig, its well made ,heavy and strong and a must have add on for any woodworker
Awesome. Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching
Hi, I’ve just bought one of these mitre gauge and like you am very impressed with the quality. I enjoyed your video which helped me set it up. I was wondering if you ever did the video explaining how to use the box jig attachment.
Awesome! So glad that you are enjoying this remarkable tool. No, I have not. I actually use other tools that do a better job
I see on the 45 deg plate you're plate is on the front of the sawtooth and on the saw base front no, way you can get an accurate reading this way
I recently purchased this jig and miter gauge. However I discovered that the miter gauge is not compatible with my Clarke table saw. Having spoken to the table saw supplier it appears this gauge is not compatible with any Clarke range. The miter slots are not wide enough to accept the gauge.could this be the case with other brands of tablesaw
I am not familiar with Clarke table saws or their line of products. Most all of table saws on the market have standard tracks to accept and add on jig
Also did not fit my table saw mitre slot wasted my eighty dollars.
I have this gauge and it is great bit of kit. Would like to see a video on the box joint finger jig
thanks, useful video.
Fantastic! Glad it helped you
Have you made the video on making box joints with this miter gauge using a tablesaw?
what is the part number for this product?
Just curious if you are still happy with this, I have a low end Dewalt job site table saw and have been wanting something like this. I've made a few duck call display cases but think the box jig would add a little extra to the looks of the build .
Yes, I love it. It was a very good addition to the shop
I replied above. I stripped out two screw holes in the aluminum angle part of the gauge with little pressure. It appears that aluminum angle is very low quality. I'm going to either fix the gauge with new aluminum angle or buy Canadian or USA made.
This costs as much as an Incra, and you don't have to wait 6 weeks to get the Incra!!....
Then I would suggest purchasing the best one for your needs. I can only say that this one has worked well for me.
Watched several reviews and ready to pull the trigger on this , any code to use so you get credit ?
I’m sorry, they did not give any discount codes to use
@@PawPawsWorkShop I figured that, just wanted you to get credit for the sale
A very good review. I’ve had the Wnew miter gauge for about a month.
The quality is superior. All stainless steel, brass and aluminum construction.
Even the little nuts and bolts are highly polished stainless steel.
It has all of the features I’ll ever need without being unnecessarily complicated and tedious.
I’ve made several “keepsake” boxes with wooden hinges.
It’s precise enough for that type of project.
Awesome, thanks for the feedback
Thank you Dave, I've been looking to get this wnew miter gauge but wasn't sure of the quality. You confirmed it for me👍
Great video. I just invested in a new "wnew" miter gauge. It's great quality, but I found the bar was actually too wide for my vintage table saw slots. I think I'll have to sand down one side by a mm to make it fit.
You can use that on a router table as well ;)
Yes, that is true
Another way to test squareness is the 5 cut method.
Yes, you are correct
If you have a 90 degrees angle, you don´t need any "special method". 90 degrees will always be 90 degrees. Not matter how you did it.
@@Peter_Cetera The 5 cut method increases your accuracy my compounding the slight error 5 times. Try it and see if your saw if truly "square"
👍👍👍👌👍
Thank you very much. I appreciate your support
