Everyone in that whole argument had a point - Simon's being overly critical, Simon is afraid overweight people can't be as successful, that shirt made her look a little poochy. She looked totally fine and not overweight, and nobody's any less of a person or a performer if they're overweight anyway/

i think simon was quite justified in saying what he said about this business being an image business. if i was that girl i would have told paula and randy to not even be mad, coz look at it this way; if the only thing "holding me back" was to lose a few pounds, then so be it! even though its mostly a vanity thing, its just as much a health thing, as well. who doesnt want to be healthier? working out might help with sustaining your breath as well. its a win/win situation, really!!
