This is the best video I have watched on improving voiceover audio quality in audacity. Explains not just "how to" but also "why", which other creators of similar videos do not. No hype, just facts! After watching your video, I have understood the concepts behind all the audio editing. Thanks. Keep going.
Thank you for this detailed yet simple audio editing for spoken voice. I tried it out on a .wav file and it very much improved the sound quality and consistent volume.
Great video and very informative. I've been using audacity for a little while now, and it's really easy and good, too. Can you go more in-depth with autone and mixing, please? I would love it. I'm an upcoming artist
This is great! Do you have any plans to make another video going over the ACX submission requirements, and how to set those parameters in the latest version?
Omg man you are amazing, thank you so much for this informative video, I have recorded a voiceover and the website approved and accepted my voiceover, directly after following your advice and your video steps, thank you again and you have my subscription 😍
I have recently downloaded Audacity and luckily found this video. This is very good and I tried this on a sample audio and it really improved the quality. Just one note, the AI voice you used isn't very good.
This is very helpful, thank you! And can this tutorial fix a recording with some overdrive clipping? If the voice is a little overdrive, how to apply the EQ?
Thanks for this great video. With the filter curve eq is there a a way to move it with the slider rather than on the graph from 100hz to 80hz? its very confusing moving it on the graph
@@pinksakurapetal I have some macros to process voices. I am not sure if you ever saw those promotions. You can buy those macros for guidance. But if you can follow this video correctly, you will also reach your goal.
@@MasterEditor5 I'd like to ask more please. Do I still have to use limiter and noise gate too? or just these steps are enough? I use noise gate to remove breathing sound but I saw your video that you applied "low rolloff for speech". Are they similar?
Question: my voice recording was between -18db and 0, when i used the filter EQ it resulted in sound clipping, therefore i could not apply it and skipped that step. What should i do in order to be able to use the filter EQ at the stage you said? should i loudness normalise first?
If some of your audio touching 0 dB, it may be already clipped and distorted. If not, you can normalize first to a lower value like -5 dB. That will give some headroom if you are boosting some frequencies with EQ.
Thanks so much for your reply. Amazingly the audio was not clipped, thanks for the advice I have made a note for next time. The Filter EQ curve is difficult to mimic like yours, if I was to use the Graphic EQ what values should I input please?

I have not done anything for clipping in those steps, so most likely clipping will stay the same.

Not possible yet with Filter Curve EQ. You may use Graphic EQ for that.
This is really useful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Helpful infromation but the sing-song AI voice narration is annoying! There's nothing Audacity can do to fix that!

Hello, I would like to ask if I want to use amplify to make my overall audio file louder, should I do it before or after these 4 steps in your video?
After these steps. But ideally your sound should be loud enough after this processing. For which purpose are you editing the audio?

Does audacity accept ai voices?
I am not sure about your question. Audacity is for recording voice and editing. It can't generate AI voice
If you do not like AI voice, same tutorial on my voice: ruclips.net/video/MH4-_hsjRgQ/видео.html
Thank you. When I hear an AI voice I just click away, no matter how good the tutorial might be.
This is not human voice
Right?
Right, it is synthetic voice or a human's voice clone
dommage que presque personne dans la tecgnique et tuto audacity n'est capable de traduire les tutos en français...
