Thank you for making this video! Im still new to the VO business and started using Audacity again and this video helped me a ton! Nice to see a fellow Filipino doing VO too!
I use the keyboard shortcuts (right CTRL+K) to cut and (right CTRL+L) to silence/mute after selecting the portion I need to edit. If I need to split the audio so I can move it (for longer pauses if needed), I use right CTRL + i. Hope this helps!
Thanks for this great video, as well as your other ones. I've used Audacity in the past solely for making rough demos for music (prior to going into the studio) -- but this tutorial is a huge help, as I am now looking to get into VO work. Many thanks!
Any advice out there on editing the spaces or “transitions”in between phrases? your audio how to make audio crisp and clear between each pause before your next phrase ? Kind of hard to explain hope this makes sense .
Hi Anna, thanks very much, I'm finding your videos very clear and useful. I have just gotten myself some good equipment (RODE NT1-A mic & Focusrite Scarlett headphones and Solo interface) and have a Fiverr account and Audacity installed, but am just learning so far, so am not ready to create my first gig just yet. Can you please tell us how we should title the audio file and what tags to use in the Metadata box (16:02)? And also, what does it mean to provide "split files"? Thanks very much from sunny Scotland, where 22C (72F) is considered hot! :)
Hi Anna, great job. Which platform are you getting most of you jobs from ( fiver, voices123, or voicebunny) and is it a paid subscription or a standard one ?
I think it looks a bit different now, do you have an updated version of this still for beginners or know anyone who does? Thank you! I want to do a follow along but it looks different hhaha
Hi there Anna, I just had one question. I am planning to offer VOs for commercials, but my strength also lies in doing character voices for animations, games etc... so i thought mentioning both in same would affect fiverr SEO. So can i create 2 separate gigs titled: "I will do american male voice over" and " I will be your male voice actor"? Would love to hear your thoughts on that Love your content btw
Hi Lokky! Thank you so much for dropping by. I think you should keep just one account and showcase that you offer a variety of voices. I think it will help your SEO more, because you will have a wider clientele. The more people click on your Gig page, the more Fiverr’s algorithm will work in your favor. Good luck!!!
I had to slow you down to "0.75" speed on RUclips to fully GROCK all that very useful information you offer, Anna, but congrats! You are My Best Teacher!! May I offer you an apple?

Can you help me understand your question better? Sorry for the super late reply
Is cut the same as trim because I literally do not have a cut/scissors button
You don’t have the cut icon?
just downloaded and did a sample and it turned out great now to work on this 63 year old voice
We are so lucky that VO does not have any age limit! Good luck! :)
but how can you listen to the part you want to cut?
You just need to highlight it and listen to it and if you are sure you want to delete it, just hit delete. :)
Hello Ms.Anna, i'm trying to add a sample in voice bunny but requires to have it in 16 bit resolution how do we do that in audacity?
Hi sorry for the late reply. I believe it should be in the prompt box when you save your recording

Hi Anna, great job. Which platform are you getting most of you jobs from ( fiver, voices123, or voicebunny) and is it a paid subscription or a standard one ?
I get most from Fiverr...and best of all its free!
Do you export as WAV or MP3?
Depends on what the client asks. :) MP3 is my default, because .wav takes too much space.
👍
Thank you!
Hi Ms.Anna buenna, newbie here just wanna ask how to send demo rates if sa facebook groups nakita ang hiring or audition for voice over? Thank you!
You should ask for the person advertising’s email. Good luck! 👍
@@annabuena Hi Anna..just wanna ask if how to create demo rates if walang accounts sa fiverr? Thanks
Hi maam Anna
I don't have at the moment. But I might start soon. ;)
Hi can we record without microphones because intially it is not affordable?
Hi, how will you capture your voice though? Microphones are essential to a VO talent. :)
The latest version of Audacity is 3.2 please could you do an update for this? Many thanks!
what version of Audacity are you using Ms. Anna?
Im running out of excuses to start my vo career. Thank you for this! :)
Hahahahaha! I think you know what to do next!
Oh my gosh! I was just about to write the same thing 😊
How do create my picture attached to my demo. My demo is on my fiverr page. But it doesn't have a picture on it
You can’t upload? Maybe the file is too big or not in the right format?
@@annabuena Well I saw a picture on your demo. There had to be some way you were able to put that picture on your demo.
I think it looks a bit different now, do you have an updated version of this still for beginners or know anyone who does? Thank you! I want to do a follow along but it looks different hhaha
Hi, what version do you have?
Awesome tips
If I can do voices and need to hook up with a tech gal what do I do
Check out Fiverr!
I have garageband will this work as well?
I don't use garage band, but I hear you can use it! :) Let me know if it works!

Hi Anna what plugins and settings are u using to enhance your VO at audacity.. Tnx
I try not to use anything to enhance my voice. The most I do, if they agree, is noise reduction and normalize. :)
Just thought of something, Anna can you take a recording in iMovie and drop that into audacity to edit?
If you can separate the video from the audio, I believe you can. ;)
Yesss!! 😍🤗👏 thank you!!!
Im glad you find this helpful! :)
hmmmm i really should try VO career !!!
Yes, I think you should!!!
I have your headphones! Where did you get yours?
I got it in Singapore a few years back! :)
Tell me where these headphones are plugged into and how they interface with the VO process?? Thanks
Thank you
You are most welcome! 🙂
excellent 👌🙂👍
Thank you for being so supportive!

Thank you for the apple! :) I do tend to speak fast when excited. I'll try to slow down. :)
Wooooot!!!!
Hahahahahahah
