  • I have never had this happen before while ice fishing in Maine. I was chasing rainbows and brown trout on Flanders Pond in Sullivan, Maine when this odd ball occurrence happened. What an incredible once in a lifetime experience. I'm 43 years old and have never seen this once. I probably will never witness this again. I do go on to catch a big white perch and a big yellow perch through the ice on Gardner Lake. You just never know what you'll experience while out ice fishing. It's totally worth it to explore the outdoors and nature to put yourself in these incredible situations. I'm glad I was able to film it all.
This was a Wild Maine Outdoors Media (WMO MEDIA) production.

I've seen eagles and crows together all the time.but not a goose. Eagles and.crows show up all the time waiting for ice fishers to catch something and throw it on the ice for an easy meal. Had crows an eagles on trail cam totally destroying my bait sickle for coyotes last winter.

Oh yes!!!! That’s right, lol, I too have had eagles and crows circling looking for fish. Oh it’s totally nuts…. I was looking out my shelter window at the two geese being chased by the eagle. Next thing there they were making quite the commotion with one missing goose.
That’s so cool you make “meatcicles” too for coyote and bobcat bait!!!! Very cool!!!! Have you had any luck so far this season????? I’m actually focusing more on ice fishing but will get out calling to coyotes when I can get away.
