I loved this. Collecting is frequently discussed as a form of hoarding, so it was refreshing to hear such a fresh and encouraging perspective. I‘ve been collecting stuff since I was a kid, and in recent years it‘s mainly been books, DVDs, African wood sculptures, old enamel advertising signs, rare ceramics, engravings, and now modern art. A big part of it has always been connection with different eras and places, and I‘ve had many protean moments along the way. Thanks for this.
It's really cool to collect things from long ago, wonder about their former owners, what lives they lived, how they made their way to us...with antique photos, see those people themselves, sometimes with a name or date that you can use to track down information about them...fascinating!
You really touched on things I hadn't considered. My closest friend is fellow collector. We collect action figures. The conversations we have are some of my fondest because of our shared interests. Thanks for posting this. Very knowledgeable.
Great video, very interesting stories that made me look at my own collecting hobby in some new ways. I myself am a collector of perfume. Looking forward to watching more videos
Hot wheels, Johhny Lightening, Matchbox. Now I have gotten back into my childhood hobby of magic, playing cards and coin magic though my dexterity isn't what it used to be :)
This got many more views than any of our other videos, so when we start again this spring, we may have to do a follow up video on this topic. Thanks for the feedback!

EXCELLENT! You all are right on point. You discussed reasons I was aware of, and a couple I wasn't. Terrific discussion.

Great discussion thank you!
Very interesting, I myself like to collect currencies as well, like old coins, cryptocurrencies and foreign notes.
I knew you or the other guy collected things before you started talking by the bookshelves full of books 😂
