    I went to verdun a couple years ago and been fascinated about ww1 ever since the place is unreal amd really shows you at least a little of how horrible it must have been for those men

    Cool videos. What do you do with all the relics you find? I had relatives at the Somme on both sides.

    And what you are finding is just on the surface, what must lay in covered in shell holes is mind boggling..many an unfortunate I'm sure,we can't imagine the hell those places once were.. fascinating video and a very poignant find with the mess tin and his initials on it,was it dropped or does he lay beneath.. we'll never know

    Incroyable video. On se dit que si encore aujourd hui la terre regorge de tous ces objets, la scène de guerre a du être terrifiante...Quand je pense que deux de mes arrière grand pères y étaient !...😐

    it's amazing how many things are still there!
    One question, is collecting WW1 items (obviously i'm not referring to the ammunition) legal in France? Are you subject to any regulations?

    In many ways their sacrifices have lead to a better world. Yet much of the attitudes that lead to the breakout of that conflict, and all the bloodshed that came after, remain to this day within human kind. Waiting to burst out. We have within us the ability to wage war to feed our sense of superiority and greed. But we also have within us the potential to control those more hostile urges, and to use that energy instead to reach out peacefully and work together to build a better world for all who inhabit, and all who will inherit this planet. Its up to us to choose wisely.

    This is all so true😱 the things you can still find, even without a metal detector. I was at Beaucourt Hamel and you can just see it all

    • @histoirekeo

    I don't know the situation in that place, but according to wwii next to personal belongings and small arms often lie skeletons. I hope that a wwi search is developed in France.

    Those "musket balls"... are those from some type of canister shot artillery round?

    • @BigdaddyE71
      @BigdaddyE71 2 месяца назад +2

      Most likely from an artillery shell.

    • @brianmurray1395
