Looks so good. My mom used to make catfish stew before she passed away in October and she always made that for me as a treat because she knew that I love seafood. She was not only my mom but my best friend.
Mom's can give us so much in life and one is food memories. I love how you feel about your mom. My mom is my best friend also. Hopefully you will see a'lot more here that will bring you close to her. :)
Red, Mark south La. Down here we would of called that a catfish coubilln, pronounced coo b yon , that is that cajun french. Also crawfish festival in Breaux Bridge , La. In the month of May...
Hey have yall ever tried making corn stew over rice very easy to make trinity cut a ham steak and simmer one can of tomatoe sauce simmer for a while add your corn and some Tony's cajun seasoning simmer to your liking and serve over rice.
Yes! Any fish, shrimp, crawfish etc... give it a try! I am thinking about making Crawfish Etouffee that does't have the cream of soups but the crawfish would still be good in this stew. Thanks Steve
Love your channel Steve, glad to see you putting more videos out in 2017, hope you can get as many viewers as possible, will keep watching your videos methodically
I tried sending a recipe but I must have something wrong. I'm just going to leave it here; Last week I set up a poker tournament with the boys so I went shopping to feed them. I went into our local Harps and they had a sale on pork spare ribs 15lbs for $13.50, so I snatched up a box. I went home and trimmed em’, coated them with Strawberries Barbeque seasoning (found at Walmart) overnight, then smoked them for about 5 hours at 250. We ate until we were stuffed but it left me with a whole side of ribs left. So I decided to make bean with it. Here’s my recipe for Ribs & Beans: 1 side of dry rubbed ribs (deboned for space in the crock pot) 1 - 1.5 lb of Great Northern beans (soaked overnight) Salt & Pepper Water Place chopped rib meat in crock pot. Add as many beans as pot will hold. Cover beans with water. Set cooker on high and let cook for 2-3 hours. Stir and taste, add Salt & Pepper as needed. Continue cooking until beans are tender stirring occasionally, app’x 3 more hours. Serve and garnish with diced onions and Jalapeño corn bread. I used a spicy dry rubbed rib, If it was a sweet wet rib I would make it into a baked bean style. I’m enjoying your RUclips channel.
