What really sells me on your videos is that, your 100 day challenge is equivalent to other youtuber's 20 episode playthrough. Your graveyard keeper, dinkum, and subnautica playthroughs are so goood. If you're worrying about your video length, I personally love longer contentt, close to or little above 1 hour is the perfect length for your 100 day playthroughs
The condensed summaries are definitely compelling. The stupid mistakes and voice-over that reflect on it keep people watching and commenting, and skipping all the grind and filler gets things to the interesting parts so much faster. It's definitely a great format
One of the best tips I can give you is that fire only spreads while in your field of view. You can just leave the area to stop it from spreading any further and then return once it’s burned itself out. Best way to keep your base from fully burning down or stopping a forest fire from getting out of control.
That's legit my main summer strategy for "Oh god, I STILL haven't found a gear yet" (to make an Ice Fling-o-Matic). I just go AWAY from my base and kinda go nomad for the season. :P Usually I tend to hang around the birch forest, because resources and shade.
You can feed the bird meat (including monster meat and cooked eggs) for eggs. So it's effectively a source of eternal food, because the eggs are always fresh. You can also feed it crops to get seeds for those crops, which can drop more than one seed for farming purposes. And you can also feed it seeds to reset the spoil meter.
As a person who has played don’t starve and DST ever since 2014ish, this is probably one of my favorite don’t starve videos ever. You’re just a beginner, and its so awesome watching you naturally figure out how go about navigating the world and building a base. It’s cool how your play style is totally unique to you. A lot of people get stuck in just a meta way of playing, but you just do what you figure out and I love that. Keep up these videos and maybe try some of the expansions? (Also subbed)
Floydson is no joke my new favorite let's play type of channel. The 100 day set up with his style of comedy is just so good. I vibe hard to his content.
It is probably nearly 20 times more work than most let's plays where they just record themselves playing and release a series of 20. This is hours and hours of work, playing, recording, and editing editing editing. Then getting a voiceover that fits, and reading the fucking script without constant making mistakes.
It's nice to watch someone newer learn and play the game. I've been enjoying watching your journey. Couple of tips: - Don't be afraid to spawn in Krampus and kill him. He has the chance to drop a sweet Karmpus Sack that provides a lot of inventory slots + doesn't slow you down like the pig backpack. - The eye plants eats your loot. Your purple gems disappeared because it ate them while you were away. The eyeballs doesn't grow on rock turf so you should plant some at your bases to avoid dealing with them. - Don't be afraid to go completely insane. You can kill nightmare monsters to farm nightmarefuel + it gives you sanity back when you kill them. - The big cave bunnies attacked you since you were carrying meat. Usually, they're chill when your inventory has no meat.
@@instantchaos2385 yes in solo Dont starve there were Cave inside cave that lead to Ruins Surface-->Cave--->Ruins Big Tentacle is in Cave and work like Wormhole in cave
The insulation clothing doesn't increase your warmth, just slows how fast you get cold. And the beefalo hat and the puffy vest are the beat insulating items btw
I wanted to buy don't starve, but I was confused about which copy to buy. Should I buy something like the one played by the owner of the channel, or buy don't starve together? What do you recommend that I buy knowing that I will play alone on ps4 and the copy of don't starve together is cheaper than the regular don't starve
@@smiley1675 either one is fine, I have both don’t starve together has more shit in it and I play solo even tho it’s multiplayer but don’t starve is a single player experience and there’s dlcs you can buy, but me personally I like don’t starve together more
@@smiley1675 if u ever get bored of dst and want a switch up the DLCs in ds solo are tons of fun and way different experiences. I got both they are both awesome
@@smiley1675don’t starve together has all the stuff from the base game plus the initial expansion DLC, but bosses and strong enemies have higher stats for multiplayer, making it very difficult to deal with bosses if you are playing by yourself. However, DST comes with an extra copy to give to your friends, making it useful to get a multiplayer world with people.
Floydson you are golden standard of 100 days let's plays. The amount of time and effort that go into each video is so apparent and appreciated. Your humor and style is so unique and I always know that even if its a game I've never heard of it going to be an amazing ride.
It’s cool to see someone playing solo dont starve instead of don’t starve together in 2023. Both this and 100 days are amazing and great to watch videos. Definitely subscribed!

@@smiley1675 it really depends on personal preference. If you are playing alone that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get don’t starve together, it is the only one that gets consistent updates and has more content than solo dont starve including the Rein of Giants dlc. But solo dont starve also has the shipwrecked and hamlet dlcs which are a lot of fun. I’d recommend watching some videos on both of these to see if you might want to play them. They’re also a really good video that could help you make the decision. I’ll edit this soon with the video title because I forgot. I hope this helped! Edit: the name of the video is “Don’t starve VS Don’t starve together - A buyer’s guide” by Salendrak Also you might factor in that don’t starve together has more characters + 4 dlc characters
@@smiley1675 get don’t starve together if you haven’t already. It gets updated frequently so it’s always changing. Plus there are more characters to play.
Dude, you don't even realize how big of a smile I made when I saw you uploaded. My day immediately went from bad to great! Thanks, as always, for your amazing content! 😊
Another useful tip that I don't see a lot of people use. When "interacting" with a material that is "farmed" (e.g. Chopping a tree, Mining a rock or Hammering a pig head on the spike), you can press the space bar AND click on it at the same time. It does it much faster in order to farm them more quickly. Like sending two separate inputs to the game "space -> hit it & click -> hit it". Really makes chopping a tree easier for example.
I think a 100 days of Terraria would make me cry and scream, but I love everything you do. You're funny and entertaining, and the only creator these days that makes me drop everything when I see a new video of yours. Great work!
I just found your channel from your first 100 days don’t starve video and I’ve got to say, I’m so stoked to watch all of your other videos. I love your commentating and the fact that your videos are the perfect length for me. I definitely prefer the hourish long playthroughs

Even just Reign of Giants(RoG) would be great, for 2 more new biomes(the desert and the desidious forest biome) and of course the addition of spring and summer. But who am i kidding, you access RoG for the seasonal bosses for more fighting!!😈
I'd definitely be interested in seeing another 100 days! Especially considering there are 3 different cave systems, each with their own sub-cave system ;) Alternatively how the jumping between worlds, or Adventure Mode through Maxwell's door works. Even a RoG play as it's slightly different, or SW/HAM which are significantly different! Oh also, you may want to check out the Minimap HUD and Combined Status Quality of Life Mods!
I love survival type games with farming mechanics, but I can't focus long enough to really get into it, so seeing someone play new games that I've never heard of before in a way that I enjoy allows me to live vicariously through you, and for that thank you.😊
I like your "style" a lot! Even tough it's 45+ minutes usually, it entertains me throughout the whole video! Could we see any other genre of videogames from you (100 turns of Civ 6 for example), or only survival for now?
Civ 6 is an interesting idea! And I'm definitely not tied to survival games - I'll play anything with a day/night cycle. Just depends what I feel like playing
Beefalo taming is VERY useful, specially for Wendy that deals -25% damage, an ornery beefalo with war saddle will completely offset Wendy's weakness. Also, they're fast and don't require much upkeep after fully tamed, just a pen with a couple salt licks. The more you ride them, the more time it takes for them to throw you off, when they're fully tamed you can actually spend days (in game) riding non stop. It seems complicated to tame them, but it isn't really, should watch a tutorial video (easier) or read the wiki (little bit more complicated to understand), but the tldr is: ride it all day, when it throws you off give it 2 ou 3 twigs/cut grass and hop on again. Also: the beefalo will shake the saddle off and mind his business (try to get back to his horde) if you don't feed it for long enough. After it's fully tamed it'll never shake of the saddle and the salt licks prevent it from untaming while you're not riding.
Seeing that you survived a whopping 131 days, you're definitely ready to try out some DLC. Here's a quick summary of each: - Reign of Giants makes the game more challenging by adding a lot of bosses to defeat as well as different survival mechanics, making for some good goals to accomplish. It's also included in the base game for Don't Starve Together, so you can have fun with wifey while discovering the new content and learning new mechanics, although there are a few differences in mechanics from singleplayer that you might notice as you play. - Shipwrecked is honestly my personal favourite: it's basically if you applied the Don't Starve formula to island survival, with completely different biomes, seasons, enemies and materials from the base game, complete with rafting from one island to the next. Sadly, although some elements of Shipwrecked exist in Don't Starve Together, you can't explore the Shipwrecked worlds in multiplayer. When creating a new world, you'll have the option to either start in a regular map or a Shipwrecked one, and it's possible to travel between them as you progress in the game. - I honestly don't know much about the last DLC, Hamlet, but from what I can tell it seems to be similar to Shipwrecked in the sense that it introduces a separate world to explore, complete with new biomes, seasons, enemies, etc. The official description mentions towns, aristocratic pigs and ancient ruins, so it should definitely be ripe with tons of juicy content to discover. Like Shipwrecked, you can also travel to it from the regular map. I hope you'll eventually get around to trying all of these out, but for now, congrats on surviving(?) 200 days in Don't Starve!
Don't Starve Together also has tons of new content besides that of Reign of Giants and the base game. There's whole lines of entirely new bosses and biomes, lots of ocean content as well (albeit very differently from that of shipwrecked), and a completely reworked farming system; it's also the only version of the game that's still getting regular updates. My personal favorite variant is Shipwrecked as well, but in terms of content, Don't Starve Together is definitely the most complete experience.
Definitely wanna see you play Don't starve Together. It's not just a multi-player, it's a whole sequel. It can be played both multi-player, and single player. Cool fact, the name is a word play, The word together means 3 things in this case, that it has multi-player, that its a sequel(TOgether as in 2gether) and who the main enemy is(to get her)
Been subscribed for a minute, but finally did notifications on today. Your editing is the perfect mix of ‘knowing what’s happening’ and ‘enjoying what’s happening’. Very much enjoyed what I’ve seen so far, and I absolutely want to see more! Best of luck to you and your channel!
I watched a couple videos and I gotta say I literally can't stop binging them, the commentary and the nice progression across all your videos keeps me entertained and expecting what things you could build next! More than enough quality to earn this sub

@@smiley1675 DST is super fun cause u can always play solo in a server, if you just want solo experience then get the base Don't Starve, if you want more content get RoG, but at that point might as well play DST cause DST is basically RoG
Oh I definitely recommend DLCs and DST to play. By the way, there's some spooky horrors downstairs you may find if you find another exit in the caves, it's where the fun stuff is at. Other than that try adventure mode! If you are brave and knowledgeable enough to go through Maxwell's challenge
I literally keep coming back to your channel to check for updates, all your gameplay made me laugh and left me in awe with the base building. Especially in the raft video!
Glad youtube recommended this video, never knew I needed this, I have been playing this game for a while and watching you play and discover things gives me this nostalgic of me being new to the game and that reaction on taming a beefalo was so wholesome I just smiled unconsciously, I just subbed and I look forward to watch more of your content.
The bunnies are vegetarians, which is why they attack you and call you murderer when you have meat in your inventory. Just remove any meat-based food, and the bunnies will stop chasing you
You're my favorite youtuber, I struggle to fully enjoy most singelplayer games so the pure enjoyment you get out of them is so fun to watch. Hope you are having a good time :)
I love these videos! This was really fun to watch. If you're thinking about playing more there are two things I'd suggest. The first is that if your stuff catches on fire at base, run until it's off-screen and then wait a bit for the fire to die out. For some reason, fire only spreads when you're on screen witnessing it. Once you're off-screen it stops spreading. To manage the hound attacks, I'd also suggest making a long walled-in tooth trap area that you can run into when the hounds come. The idea is to basically build a hallway of tooth traps (3 wide, 20 long - eventually) with stone walls on either side, ending with a larger walled area at the end. When the hounds come you can run through the traps without setting them off but they'll be killed by them. The larger area at the end of hallway means you can put down a fire-pit in case night time comes and if any hounds make it through you have room to kite them. Or you can build a big un-walled square of tooth traps with a space in the middle for you and a fire. It does mean crafting a lot of traps but it's a really easy way to deal with the hounds as their numbers get bigger and bigger.
Hello Floydson! I was talking Mini-Motorways with someone today, was wondering how you were doing, and decided to check in. Wow! I am amazed! You have 238,000 Subscribers! And what looks like a very healthy channel. Production values are great! Well done!
I absolutely love this game!! Thank you so much for playing it. I’m super excited to watch you go through adventure mode (Maxwell’s door) I’m currently running through it right now and it’s very difficult but fun. 😅

What do you recommend that I buy knowing that I will play alone on ps4 and the copy of don't starve together is cheaper than the regular don't starve
Here’s a good strategy for dealing with the hound waves: use the teeth you get from the hounds to make tooth traps. 10 uses each, and eventually you’ll have a big enough area filled with them to never have to fight them again. I mean you can still fight them on the traps, but I don’t.
19:44 Actually it's the opposite. Bundling Wrap is originally from Don't Starve Together, not Don't Starve. And it's very hard to get, having the blueprint be a loot drop from a raid boss, but the item was so powerful and game changing that the Devs felt the need to add it to the original game in a Quality of Life update (which is extremely rare, iirc it's been years since the last update for the original Don't Starve). So not only did they add the item knowing it would be powerful, but they made it way easier to get.
This has been an excellent trip down memory lane for anyone who has played a lot of this game, myself included. I'd love to see a "100 Days" video on Reign of Giants (the original big expansion which has tons of new content including all four seasons), or the substantially more difficult (when playing solo) Don't Starve Together. And yes, the Bundling Wrap is much, much, MUCH harder to get in DST. A couple of tips (without giving the whole thing away): -Birds in bird cages DO do something. A couple of things, actually. Feeding them meat will make them give you eggs. (I think Monster Meat still needs to be cooked for this, though.) And with two meat and two eggs, you can make the delicious and filling Bacon & Eggs. If you feed them veggies, they also drop seeds. -When you craft an advanced crafting station (i.e. Alchemy Engine, Shadow Manipulator) you no longer need the simpler versions (Science Machine and Prestihatitator), so you can destroy those with a hammer. when you destroy a building with a hammer, you get half the resources that went into its creation back. -While I take no small amount of pleasure in destroying pigmen, you can also give them meat (by dragging the meat onto them with a mouse) and they will begin to follow you for awhile and help out. If you start to fight, they will fight what you're targeting. If you start chopping trees, they will start chopping as well. Don't be shy about treating yourself to some inexpensive hired hands. You can do the same thing with rocks and those lobsters in the caves. -Conversely, the rabbits attacked you because they're fanatical herbivores. They will attack you if you're holding any meat. -You're right about the Telelocator, but keep in mind it wrecks your sanity and you need to stock the Focus every time you use it. It's pretty inefficient and more of a "panic" option, honestly. -Night Light uses Nightmare Fuel as... well... fuel. Hope that helps! Looking forward to more!
I recommend holding off Dont Starve Together for last, as that game features DLC characters and reworks. It is the most densely-packed version of the bunch.
Honestly i hope you hit 1 million subs by the end of the year. You are definitely up there in terms of making quality videos. Not an Aussie but Cheers Mate!
I really hope to see you play DST! Here are some DST tips from a newb gamer Wendy main: One of you should play as Wendy and be a mad resource gatherer. Wendy beats the daylight out of frogs, and four frog legs make a meatball. Farming mechanic is completely different in DST, don’t worry too much about what kind of crops at first and just keep planting since basically any vegetable is good, just remove any weeds. (There’s a mod for placement I’m pretty sure that makes putting actual grids on the farm plots a lot easier.) Try to set up camp somewhat close to but not on top of beefalo. You can run there when the hounds are baying, but won’t get attacked when it’s their mating season. Preemptively make healing items, including the booster shot that increases your max life after you die. Oh, and watch out for the boss fights : )
i love your narration so much and the way you edit your videos is so efficient, satisfying, and entertaining! thank you so much for doing another don't starve video (200 days! what a treat!) and for having a wealth of similar videos on your channel waiting for me to dive into. the perfect let's play channel. i love watching you discover don't starve mechanics naturally and it takes me back to when i first started playing this game. what nostalgia and joy!!
Losing that 132-day run hurts more than a breakup :< I would've quit the game. Watching this is the most peace I had mentally since my best friend dog died a month ago.
A few tips: You can burn stacks of stuff for ash and will get the same amount as you would if you placed single items. Kill more walrus' they have a chance to drop an item that's really good for sanity and is pretty warm in the winter. The ice staff takes more than one hit to freeze some enemies. To teleport yourself using the staff you need to right click on it in your equip slot. The frequency of hound attacks increases as the game progresses, starting at ~10-13 days at the start and maxing out at ~3 days at day 100 after which it stays at ~3 days. Night lights are fueled with nightmare fuel, they a bit more of a late game item for when you have surplus nightmare fuel. The bunnymen aggro on you when you have meat in your inventory. "There's not enough to the game pre DCL" That's not true at all, there's an entire other area deeper below the caves.
*Barely explores half the content* "There's just not enough content pre-DLC to keep playing." Yeah, the ending when he said that kind of soured the whole experience for me tbh. I understand that losing his Wendy world after 150+ days was probably incredibly devastating, but there's tons of lessons that he learned from it. It's too bad he was so distraught he couldn't continue to enjoy the game afterward.
I loved both this video and the 100 days of don’t starve. I would love if you could please do 300 days of don’t starve but with the librarian. She’s really good. You should search her up.😅❤
Hey Floydson, I noticed you have an excess of Beefalo horns which can make a Beefalo hat which is the warmest item you can wear during winter and it also gives you sanity. It also prevents beefalo from attacking you during mating season (red bums) since they assume you’re part of the herd. You can also feed monster meat to the bird in the cage for eggs which you can use to make Pierogis in the crockpot which is a really good health food! Awesome playthrough!!
Floydson is one of the very very few youtubers I reliably watch anymore. His content is so well balanced between showing the exciting parts, and keeping the feeling of a playthrough. It avoids feeling like a highlight reel while also not feeling like a sluggish 100 ep let's play. All of his videos are funny and interesting, and really glue me to my seat. I generally struggle to watch stuff longer than a half hour, but when Floydson's videos are over I find myself feeling sad and wishing for more.
I barely comment on RUclips but man, I love your videos, when you post one it's like a breathe of fresh air, and I just love it !!! Please keep going, and we'd love a 100 days of Don't Starve Together with your wife
I always find myself binge watching your episodes on my 12 hour night shifts and tonight is no different. You are so genuine and funny that I don't mind waiting for content at all! Keep up the awesome work and keep being yourself! If you are taking game suggestions, I would love to see your reaction to Dredge and I think the day format works perfectly with it. Either way, I look forward to your next video! ❤
This game is absolutely fantastic. Watching you playing it is even better! My suggestion for one of your next 100 days would be "Dredge". It’s a really fun fishing game with some horror elements designed into it.
Just recently found your channel and I already live it and love that you did a 100 days series on this game. I hope you continue and also dive into the DLCs. I love the long content btw. It’s great to watch while doing other task ❤
Hey im glad you did a sequel, your firdt 100 says was quite enjoyable! Love your video since your very first 100 day challenge popped up at the top of my main page! Keep it up, your really funny
You can give a veggie to the bird so he gives you 2 seeds of the especific veggie, is usually used to farm the best veggie in the game, the dragonfruit. Also you can give them any kind of meat to get eggs.
I would definitely love to see you take on the challenge of Maxwell's door. Not only is it hard, but if you do something special in one of the challenges, you can unlock a new character, and apon completing the challenges grants you another character
Can’t believe how quickly you improve every time you died. I have died so many times and still haven’t done anywhere close to what you have lol. Amazing videos, eagerly awaiting your uploads, whether it’s don’t starve or any other game.
Love your videos! Some tips: - Rot can be used as manure - When beefalos butts are red, they're in heat and will agro at anything - You can shear beefalos for their wool :) - You can feed the birds in the birdcage seeds and they'll give you eggs! The eggs can be used as an ingredient in the crockpot Anyone got any other tips?
Hi! As someone who’s played most of the games and started with the original dont starve, my favorite has to be the shipwrecked dlc because overall it’s the most unique and fun, but I recommend don’t starve together because it’s essentially a mix between all of the dlc and is a direct sequel from the first game (and is the only one that is consistently updated)
By the by, if you have issues with sanity, hunt the walrus a few times (he respawns about every 3 days), as he drops the tam o' shanter - a clothing item that provides moderate insulation & restores A LOT sanity. You shoud also craft the Dark Sword - the strongest weapon in the game that deals 68 DMG/hit (slightly less with Wendy's negative DMG modifier). It requires 1 living log & 5 nightmare fuel. Hope this helps, as idk if it is present later in the video (I typed this about halfay through). Have a great day!
your channel is one of the very few Ive completelly binged and to this day still wait impatiently for a new video, I absolutely love them! I honestly cant wait for a "I played 100 days of oxygen not included" video as I love that game and think it would be an amazing addition to the channel. Keep doing amazing!
I really appreciate you actually looking things up. I know a lot of people look down on that sort of thing, think a player should experience everything blind. But when you fixed that world transporter thingamajig and explained what it did the foreknowledge seemed prudent to me. I mean you've done over 100 days on this run, imagine then dying because you went through and ended up in a new world with none of your things that you left back at base? With no hint of what will happen it seems churlish to insist the player not look anything up, not in a game with permadeath like this. Losing all that progress to gain one shred of knowledge, of what those things do, does not seem like a worthwhile tradeoff to me, not respectful of the player's time. So thank you for saving yourself that pain.
I just found your channel recently from these don’t starve videos & you’re the only person i’m only ever able to watch enthusiastically whose videos are 1h+ long, super entertaining 😁😁
Some quick tips for you: 1. Armour doesn’t stack. Wearing a football helmet and a log suit doesn’t protect you anymore than having just one equipped. 2. The hambat’s damage decreases with its spoilage. The more spoiled it is, the less effective it is. 3. Healing slaves are pretty bad. If you catch a bird and put it in a cage, feeding it meat will produce eggs. 1 egg+1 meat+1 veg+1 filler= 1 pierogi. They heal for 40 health. 4. Don’t let fires happen near your base if you don’t have an ice fling-o-matic 5. Kiting makes life way easier. The only enemy you shouldn’t kite is a bishop. 6. Clothing just slows how warm/cold you get. No clothing protects you from being hot and cold at the same time though. 7. Beefalos in heat don’t attack if you wear a beefalo hat. 8. As you probably learnt, fighting tentacles isn’t the best idea 9. The more flowers around bee boxes the more honey they produce 10. Don’t be afraid of insanity. Killing the nightmare creatures gives really easy nightmare fuel. To kite them, just bait out an attack then swing at them.
That walrus revenge was so anticlimactic! Good stuff Floydson. You're 1 of like 3 creators I actually watch videos for and not play as just background noise.
This game should really be called, don't starve meanwhile everything within eyesight wants you dead. It's a pretty solid game and watching Floydson play it makes so entertaining these videos are worth every second.
i would LOVE to see you playing don't starve together! now that you have the basic experience on survival, tackling the together version seems like the best next step. It does have some different mechanics to get used to, but since it's the game the devs are most focused on there's a shitload of new content and it's way better maintained regarding bugs. Also not to mentioned how much more shenannigans happen when you play with friends, and it's even better when those friends don't have much experience lol
My go to method for handling hound attacks is to create a giant tooth trap pit - they only take 1 log, 1 rope, and 1 hound tooth from memory. They don't burn, are resettable (10 uses) and very quickly turn hounds into a supply drop of gems and monster meat (hound teeth are turned into more traps) Just make sure to have it a decent distance from any flammables near your base.
I usually don't comment on videos BUT I personally did enjoy this video as a Don't Starve Together rookie and am sure that everyone would love to see the saga continue from other DLCs or Don't Starve Together. One important distinction for your sake though, Don't Starve Together already includes everything from the Reign of Giants DLC and the mechanics from the Shipwrecked DLC. With the main distinction of it being the bosses (which all and beyond are present on DST except the DLC exclusive ones from the Don't Starve Hamlet & Shipwrecked)
Bird cages are among the most useful things you can build in Don't Starve. You can feed them meat, including cooked monster meat, and get an egg per meat fed back. This is very useful for making dishes like pierogi, which is one of the best health restoring foods you can get. You can also feed the bird crops though, and recieve seeds in return. Usually 1 to 2 seeds that will grow the fed crop specifically, and sometimes a seed that will grow into a random crop. This is very useful, if you plan on farming specific crops, such as dragon fruit, which are also very useful for making a health restoring dish.
I love these videos! Found the dont starve 100 days video and oh man it's so nostalgic I used to play so many YEARS ago but ive thoroughly enjoyed both these videos and will be watching a lot more of your videos. Subbed! The videos are so good and I love your style in commentary, editing and very importantly, playing!
Very glad to see a 200 day video! And again may I say how I love that you don't try to come over as an 'expert' and get everything right the first go around. I admire you showing the failures, commentary is excellent and pace is on point!! Will be subscribing and checking out your other adventures!
Floydson your content inspires me to relive my love of videogames and not take things too seriously. Thank you for your content! With the quality of the content you produce, I'm sure you'll get to 1 mill in no time! Thank you.
About magic items: The Telelocator has to be used on thing, and will teleport them to a random location, or if you have the focus and stocked it with gems, to the focus. The Ice Staff doesn't freeze most mobs immediately. Most things can take one or two hits by it, before they get frozen. A mob about to freeze is indicated by it changing colour.
Yo, more Don't Starve adventures?! Awesome! And you would be half right about the wolf attacks - they get more frequent and the pack gets larger the longer your world survives. The default setting allows them to reach the highest rates, which is great for those who live an ongoing supply of teeth, but definitely makes exploration a hassle. If you decide to tackle Reign of Giants DLC, you might want to dial down the wolf waves a bit. That DLC brings plenty more beasties and other challenges to conquer anyway!
In my humble opinion you should do a whole series about playing Don't Starve Together. I would love to see this. This game is just another level in compare to vanilla one. Don't Starve Together for days!
Amazing to watch! Favorite part is the penguins😂 Also, when the buffalos bum turns red that means they’re having a child and you can’t get too close. When their bum isn’t red you can go as close as you want!🙂
You should definitely check out the shipwrecked and DST. shipwrecked is an entirely different fun new experience with whole new threats and mechanics and is arguably harder than the normal DS. as for hamlet dlc ive never played it, heard its good too with emphasis on NPC interaction with the new Pig civilizations DST has sailing like shipwrecked but otherwise its the same setting as regular DS but with new biomes, new bosses, enemies, characters, items, revamped farming, revamped character abilities, multiplayer play obviously, and is probably the best version.
I was looking forward to this one. Just finished your 100 day video a couple days back, and you did not disappoint with this one. If you were interested in continuing don't starve, the Shipwrecked DLC is fun. Provides extra challenges not present in regular don't starve, such as islands only having limited resources. Don't starve together is more fleshed out (IMO) but may feel like a new game, as the some mechanics have been redesigned/ characters have been reworked so they function differently from the base game.

One of the best tips I can give you is that fire only spreads while in your field of view. You can just leave the area to stop it from spreading any further and then return once it’s burned itself out. Best way to keep your base from fully burning down or stopping a forest fire from getting out of control.
Ive got like 500 hours total in DS and DST and I just learned this. Couldve saved me a few bases lmao thank you! :D

I think the cooked eggs thing got patched out, sadly

Thank you 😊
It is probably nearly 20 times more work than most let's plays where they just record themselves playing and release a series of 20. This is hours and hours of work, playing, recording, and editing editing editing. Then getting a voiceover that fits, and reading the fucking script without constant making mistakes.

Agreed cant wait for more
Mhm! I hope he keeps goign too!
It's nice to watch someone newer learn and play the game. I've been enjoying watching your journey.
Couple of tips:
- Don't be afraid to spawn in Krampus and kill him.

@@smiley1675 it really depends on personal preference.

Lately these been my most look forward to videos on youtube, so glad to see another 100
I love survival type games with farming mechanics, but I can't focus long enough to really get into it, so seeing someone play new games that I've never heard of before in a way that I enjoy allows me to live vicariously through you, and for that thank you.😊
I like your "style" a lot!
Here's a quick summary of each:
- Reign of Giants makes the game more challenging by adding a lot of bosses to defeat as well as different survival mechanics, making for some good goals to accomplish.
I hope you'll eventually get around to trying all of these out, but for now, congrats on surviving(?) 200 days in Don't Starve!
.... also there's Adventure mode that has an end goal

Here’s a good strategy for dealing with the hound waves: use the teeth you get from the hounds to make tooth traps. 10 uses each, and eventually you’ll have a big enough area filled with them to never have to fight them again. I mean you can still fight them on the traps, but I don’t.
this rly is my new favorite channel to just mindlessly enjoy 😩✨i got so excited to see a part 2
So not only did they add the item knowing it would be powerful, but they made it way easier to get.
excited to watch this! found your channel from the first 100 days ^^
A couple of tips (without giving the whole thing away):
-Birds in bird cages DO do something.
I don't think I have ever watched a Floydson video without laughing at least once
YES victory achieved
I recommend holding off Dont Starve Together for last, as that game features DLC characters and reworks.
It is the most densely-packed version of the bunch.
Honestly i hope you hit 1 million subs by the end of the year. You are definitely up there in terms of making quality videos. Not an Aussie but Cheers Mate!
I really hope to see you play DST! Here are some DST tips from a newb gamer Wendy main:
One of you should play as Wendy and be a mad resource gatherer. Wendy beats the daylight out of frogs, and four frog legs make a meatball.
Farming mechanic is completely different in DST, don’t worry too much about what kind of crops at first and just keep planting since basically any vegetable is good, just remove any weeds. (There’s a mod for placement I’m pretty sure that makes putting actual grids on the farm plots a lot easier.)
Try to set up camp somewhat close to but not on top of beefalo.
A few tips:
You can burn stacks of stuff for ash and will get the same amount as you would if you placed single items.
*Barely explores half the content*
"There's just not enough content pre-DLC to keep playing."
Yeah, the ending when he said that kind of soured the whole experience for me tbh.
I understand that losing his Wendy world after 150+ days was probably incredibly devastating, but there's tons of lessons that he learned from it. It's too bad he was so distraught he couldn't continue to enjoy the game afterward.

Some tips:
- Rot can be used as manure
- When beefalos butts are red, they're in heat and will agro at anything
- You can shear beefalos for their wool :)
- You can feed the birds in the birdcage seeds and they'll give you eggs! The eggs can be used as an ingredient in the crockpot
Anyone got any other tips?
Can you take domesticated beefalo into caves and ruins in don't starve Rog?
Honestly these 100-200 survival episodes are so good, only just found the chanel but love them
I really appreciate you actually looking things up.
Some quick tips for you:
4. Don’t let fires happen near your base if you don’t have an ice fling-o-matic
5. Kiting makes life way easier. The only enemy you shouldn’t kite is a bishop.
6. Clothing just slows how warm/cold you get. No clothing protects you from being hot and cold at the same time though.
7. Beefalos in heat don’t attack if you wear a beefalo hat.
8. As you probably learnt, fighting tentacles isn’t the best idea
9. The more flowers around bee boxes the more honey they produce
It's actually makes me sad when we can't meet Abigail again 😢
As someone who always played with the dlc it is so strange to see how remarkably chill the vanilla game is
My go to method for handling hound attacks is to create a giant tooth trap pit - they only take 1 log, 1 rope, and 1 hound tooth from memory.
They don't burn, are resettable (10 uses) and very quickly turn hounds into a supply drop of gems and monster meat (hound teeth are turned into more traps)
Just make sure to have it a decent distance from any flammables near your base.
Keep at it! Can't wait to see your continued progression on the next "300 days" episode
I love your 100 days videos! They’re so enjoyable to watch. Keep up the amazing content 💛
Thank you.
The reason winter came earlier was because you opened the fridge trap in the caves which instantly brings winter
Never change your format. Never stop making these videos please Floydson my boy
About magic items:
The Telelocator has to be used on thing, and will teleport them to a random location, or if you have the focus and stocked it with gems, to the focus.
Floydster in script: "Calm, collected, informative, upbeat."
Floydster ingame: "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" *Scary noises in the background*
Amazing to watch! Favorite part is the penguins😂 Also, when the buffalos bum turns red that means they’re having a child and you can’t get too close. When their bum isn’t red you can go as close as you want!🙂
You should definitely check out the shipwrecked and DST. shipwrecked is an entirely different fun new experience with whole new threats and mechanics and is arguably harder than the normal DS. as for hamlet dlc ive never played it, heard its good too with emphasis on NPC interaction with the new Pig civilizations
DST has sailing like shipwrecked but otherwise its the same setting as regular DS but with new biomes, new bosses, enemies, characters, items, revamped farming, revamped character abilities, multiplayer play obviously, and is probably the best version.
Absolutely give Maxwell's door its own video! It leads to Adventure mode which to me is the best DS feature missing in DST
