  • After MONTHS of working on my 2014 Toyota Tacoma, I finally got out to Barstow to test the BEST Mid Travel Setup.
    Well, almost the best that is. After a day of running the truck through the desert, I still see a few areas that I can improve to make the truck handle even better!
    If you like the video, make sure you stay tuned for what we have coming up this desert season. Until then, enjoy the videos that are already on the channel.

    Don't forget rear bump stops. Even a foam bump will be much smoother for a bottom out. Stock rubber it harsh.

      Bump stops is definitely on the list! Some nice king cans will look so good back there 🤤

    Good job filming the actual parts doing it’s job as it should for mid travel. I agree with you about the rear end.. more content coming soon…

    Next on the chopping block should be fitting hydro bumps in the rear or up front especially since your working with limited up travel you will be able to soften the shock up and have that bump catch all the big stuff

    • @desertdime

      Bumps in the rear is definitely on my list! Gotta start saving tho

      This video is a tad bit dated. A few new things have been added since and I will be recording a final updated video after I get the last couple pieces added on! If you want a full list tho hmu on ig and we can chat

    I wonder if double sheer on the coil buckets would still be worth it on mid travel.
    It's awesome seeing the coilovers working, and watching the stresses on the mounts.

    Hey bro I have a 2nd gen Tacoma as well and I was wondering if you took off the front plastic guard on the front wheel wells? I’m thinking about taking mine off instead of trying to trim it up.
    Great vid btw love the truck

      Here ruclips.net/video/nDBptuWsWf4/видео.html check out this video I posted a month ago. It’ll show you the exact trimming I’m running right now. But it’s practically like having it ripped out.

    Did you install wheel spacers in the rear with those smooth bodies like it recommended? Or have you had no issues running no spacers ?

    • @desertdime
      @desertdime  Год назад

      Yeah I’m running 1.25” wheel spacers. I tried to get away without them but it was less than a fingers space between the tire and shock. More details on the instal video

      I avoided taking it out for 5 years cause of that same fear but dude tbh I barely noticed a difference (unless it’s a drastic turn obviously) but trust me when I say it’s never going back on haha
