Well you are trusting an ignorant opinion. He said final destination is "Ultra fair".......fuck that's the most ignorant thing I have seen anyone say all year
***** Speading misinformation and ignorance is a felony in my moral standards. I mean for fucks sake, do your research before you say something like that! FD is not a fair stage in Smash and never will be
***** Not a video game - a sport. Saying FD is neutral is like saying American Football is the "Ultra fair" version of playing international soccer. The ignorance shown really annoys me, and does piss a lot of people off that actually play Smash professionally
Final Destination is a completely fair match, it has nothing to run away to, nothing to jump on to create space, nothing that can be a hazard or a life saver, it is just one big platform in the middle of the screen.
I like how he understates how much more content this game has than the 3ds version. Let me visualize it for you Smash 3DS:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smash Wii U:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TheECP it may be portable (which is the main reason you should own the game), but if you're at home there really isn't any reason to play the 3ds version unless you really want to play smash run or you want a low poly experience.
***** I almost feel a bit cheated. I get why a lot of this was left off of the 3DS version, but certain features like item appearance rate, stamina battles and special smash battles (like flower smash, giant smash, etc) really have no reason to be left out. It feels like a much more barebones experience as a result, and it really didn't have to be that way. There are a lot of places where I simply wish there were more options. I got a lot of play out of Kirby Air Ride's city trial mode thanks to the customization you could do in that. As it was the inspiration for Smash Run, I was disappointed to see there are no options available for that mode. Being portable gives the 3DS version a huge advantage, and we've been clamoring for a portable Smash for so long. But I can't help but feel they purposely left out a lot of features simply to make the Wii U version look even more amazing by comparison. It's a clever tactic, but unless they update the 3DS one after the Wii U game's release so it has more of those customization features, I'm not happy to see things going this way.
This is SUPER informative for those who want to know about every little detail and answers a lot of questions that other people aren't answering. This is deserving of more traffic than it's getting.
Wow! Lots of relevant details that actually add to and clarify Nintendo published material. You are way ahead of the competition for near-instant game previewing. Great work!
You actually got something wrong in Fact 26. The 3DS has 3 challenge boards with 35 challenges on each one, for a total of 105 challenges, although that still isn't as many as the Wii U version.
So I came in thinking this would be an over hyped video without any new information, but my god! A quarter of the way through and everything he says is amazing! Keep up the great work.
Actually, wrenches and other icons next to fighter trophies on the classic board mean that you'll get those as an extra reward for defeating those characters.
Hey Nick considering the fact Mewtwo is the "DLC" character to be coming later, do you think other characters, stages, music, etc. will be available later? P.S. Bayonetta as a playable character FTW
I found it funny when people were laughing at the wii u I never saw nintendo as a company that needed a powerful machine they always have made games I've been interested in and the best thing about them they showcase their system sellers I mean mario kart, super smash in one year and to be followed by a new zelda next year, nintendo has still got it.
No they don't. Mario Kart 8 did not save the Wii U like they thought it would. Smash Bros. is their last chance to come back, which I think it will do probably, though I don't think I'll get it.
From the 3DS version, I learned that a Classic Mode match against Charizard^2 (Giant Charizard that gets its hands on a Super Mushroom) on the Prism Tower stage ends up looking like a scene from a monster movie, and if you grab it with Mega Man's one-handed Super Arm lift, it ends up looking like something from an anime.
It is so ridiculously cool that the Amiibo AI learns from the way you train it. This is going to be so helpful when playing with them. You could train a fox/falco to only spam lasers while you just go ham as falcon!
I may be quite late on this but fact 25 is incorrect. The wrench on the character does not mean they are a customized characters. It means that if you personally knock that character out during the match, you will get a random custom item as an additional prize. Custom characters DO appear in Classic though. Every character you face after Round 3 is a customized character.
I like how the new stage builder looks. In brawl it took a lot of planing to make a stage shaped like a "Game Over" sign and it still had uneven sized letters. I think I'll have an easier time making it for this game.
I like the gameplay functionality that the Amiibos introduce, I just really hate that I have to go out and buy some little figurine just to use it. I may not even do it at all, at least not until they make one for my favorite character, which might not even happen.
Jacob Huras Well if that's true, then good, I still don't think I'll buy any, just seems like they only reason they even exist is to milk wallets just a little more.
Then don't buy 'em. Honestly I like the way these Amiibos play. Fight 'em, team up with 'em, or have an Amiibo free-for-all. And they'll probably be worth fighting more than Lvl 9 CPUs.
Hmm... I wonder if they'll be releasing a Mewtwo amiibo. I'm probably going to get one Amiboo - seems like a waste to get more, but I'm not at all sure which character - I have a lot of favs.
I think the figurines themselves are pretty cool. I've seen a lot of people say that they're probably not even going to use the Amiibos they buy; they'll just have them like any other collectable figurine.
i am going to be spending so much time in 8 player smash. and classic mode actually looks just as fun~ something different other than moving along each stage and fighting 1-3 characters with a bonus stage thrown in here and there
The wrench on the characters in classic mode actually indicate that you will earn a custom move or equipment upon beating that character. Just thought you should know.
That was a really great video, Nick. I didn't know that much about Smash Tour or how amiibos worked before, but now they seem really interesting, thanks!
I love this game and I don't think I could go back to the 3DS version or even Brawl or Melee after playing this. HD, cell shaded graphics are beautiful and the roster is amazing. 50 characters (with Mewtwo on the way) is awesome though I wish some older characters like Wolf and Lucas weren't cut. An adventure mode like the Subspace Emissary would have been nice but its ok. Great game thoigh
correction. You can change the color and name of your amiibo at your command but you have to do it in a different setting. Actually the only thing you can't change are their exp (lvl)
Small correction, concerning fact number 26 The 3DS version has much more than just 35 challenges, and they are spread out amongst three pages. You had to beat the first 35 however to unlock access to the rest of them.
While yes, Final Destination if competitive, I would prefer it if they also had the option for other balanced stages such as Battlefield or Yoshi's island (AKA no walk-offs and no transformations).
Note on 26: there was more than 35 challenges in 3ds version. If you complete the first panel of challenges you get a new panel of harder challenges. I have 3 panels so far so that makes 105 challenges on 3ds. Anyone have more panels than that?
Oh so the amiibo feature is kind of like a virtual pet then? I can see people finding it pointless, but I think that's pretty darn cool. It will make the figures feel more personal and everything with the way you train them.
There are more than 35 challenges on the 3DS version, You must complete the first set to unlock the next set. I believe there are a total of 3 sets with a total of 150 challenges
Someone has probably pointed this out already, but the 3DS version has way more than 35 challenges; you have to get every single one then a new set of challenges appear. I believe there are 3 sets of 35?
Thanks for this video. It is very nice. I have gotten kinda tired of the 3DS version because of bad vision(even on my XL) and the controller cramping my hands. The WiiU version looks great in those regards and thanks for some of the nice details you included in this video. Making ledges grabable in the stage builder is something I've been wondering about for a long time.
I once played Smash Tour and a team battle came up. However, a person from the opposite team had the Latias & Latios trophy (which allows you to team up with another fighter) and teamed up with my teammate. Never again.
the 3ds had about 105 challenges not 35 there are 3 panels and when you complete the first you unlock the second do a specific challenge on the second on and unlock the third
I hope you can reset your Amiibo... Granted you might teach it everything you want it to know, but what if you feel off, like that's not what you would want it to do in some specific scenario? Like frequency of grappling ledges or recoveries, if it grapples when it should have recovered, and on and on?
FavorateGamingPeople What would be the point? You have all the characters, why would you need to buy a toy to play as these characters you already have?
Thanks !, I play smash bross 3ds, and see the 50 fact extravaganta of nintendo and i feel i dont like that much the U version for the lack of adventure more, and the board game didnt convince me at all, because i love smash run and that its not smashrun, but you made a more clear explanation of smash board and now i like it more, and the classic mode its mor like a full new more crazy mode.
I have a question. Has the Melee pause camera returned? I loved that in Melee you had a lot of freedom when moving the camera while the game was paused, but when Brawl came out they limited the movement quite a bit. Can you show us a video on this, please?
So here's my question. Let's say you got your FP (amiibo), train him to your liking, and he reaches level 50. All is good. But later, you notice that the character hasn't been taught the best, and ends up constantly losing to other, "professionally-trained" FPs. Is there a way to reset your amiibo's skills/stats if you want to really change up the FP?
Will you be able to reset FPs? I'm worried that if I get one and battle with it, it will learn not very helpful skills or in general just have poor AI. Either that, will they have the same level of toughness across all levels?
I might just get some amibos because they sound rather cool. But first a wii U. I was planning on getting both versions, but DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN they went all the way this time.
Question about Amiibos: Lets say that you train your Amiibo to the max level, without using items. Would I still able to train the amiibo to use items after it hits max level? Or does its learning AI end right there at the max level?
TheMagnum924 So you can training them with or without items? .. so if I train them with and without items ... it would be good doing with both options ?
Still I think it would be better to teach them once in a while to pick an item before reaching level 50. You don't want them to be completely oblivious before reaching their max level and while they're training. Personally, I'll always train them to use items since I'm one of those weirdos who likes using items in smash.
alfredo gomez yes and no. id asume that everything exists on a shared permid scale. this means that the start at 0 going stright up with a balance in both is great for them to be able to adabt. but if you know how they will be used training them for that kind of fight is better. for example with items in a no item fight one traind all the way with no items will do better then one trained with and without but if the next fights with items the one traind with both will win. but if you put in one trained only with items he will win if you put items at low the middle one will win as he can switch between the two play styles as needed.
Can you do team battles in 8 player smash? And is the melee handicap system utilized in this game? I always found that one to work much better than the one used in Brawl.
I Cant believe people dont understand sm4sh amiibo usage, think of it as a pokemon, its exactly what it is, a pokemon. I mean what do people mean when they say "I WANTED TO PLAY AS MY AMIIBO" that doesnt even make sense, the chars are already on the fucking screen. Also this game is perfect.

Chris Phillips hi
Minor correction, Smash 3ds has actually 105 challenges separated into 3 pages.
Ah jeez! You're right, my mistake. Thanks! -Nick
Rev3Games No problem.:)
SmashBros2009 It's also actually 108 if you count the bonuses for completing a page.
That Guy Ahh yes, that's true. Good point!
Rev3Games ...Also, was 180 a mistake too? The grid is 10x14, and says "29/140" in the upper right. Are more unlocked, or did you just misspeak?
That's awesome dude. Your hard work is much appreciated. Best Smash Bros. Wii U Preview on youtube.
People are gonna go crazy with their imaginations with stage editor. Kinda like those whippersnappers and their Minecraft. I can't wait
Thank you for your analysis. You've reminded me to ignore the pessimists and melee/pm purists and just enjoy a well made game for what it is.

Smash Wii U:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is pretty accurate.
3DS does get the special distinction of being portable and basically the same game with slightly less extra content. Which is a huge thing.
TheECP it may be portable (which is the main reason you should own the game), but if you're at home there really isn't any reason to play the 3ds version unless you really want to play smash run or you want a low poly experience.
"IT'S NOT EVEN COMPARABLE!"

Good job, Nick. Glad to hear some of these. Super excited for the game.
Bowser Jr. is the most fun character in the game? That honor belongs to Shulk. "I'm really feeling it!"
"I guess we have no choice" yes thats an actual quote from xenoblade chronicles, and not some washed up line from smash.
James Cook So is "I'm really feeling it" you silly goose.
It's one of Shulk's combat lines to signal that he has high tension.

I know, but its not said the same way
James Cook Oh no, voice lines were redone! Production values weren't lazy!

You actually got something wrong in Fact 26. The 3DS has 3 challenge boards with 35 challenges on each one, for a total of 105 challenges, although that still isn't as many as the Wii U version.

Gr8t b8 m8. I r8 8/8. Please don't h8. Let's go masturb8.
Replaying? Naw, we still waiting for the real version to come out
I assume there will be quite a lot of people who'll buy the console for this game.
The purpose of the amiibo is more challenging AI. If you want to play a custom character, that feature is already in the game.
So I came in thinking this would be an over hyped video without any new information, but my god! A quarter of the way through and everything he says is amazing! Keep up the great work.
Wow, thanks for the diligence it took to compile this list.
Well done Nick you really deserve more credit then what you get for everything you do on this channel.
So Amiibo's are like the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle? Where as you can't play with them but you level them up and make them better?
Actually, wrenches and other icons next to fighter trophies on the classic board mean that you'll get those as an extra reward for defeating those characters.
4:04 The 3DS version had 105 challenges. You had to clear the first 35-challenge board to unlock the next one.
This has got me a lot more hyped for Smash Tour and amiibos. Thanks for the video!
I notice when you pick a character in the character select screen, their eye produces a shine!
Whew, what a load of info. Thanks Nick.

Agree with your 100th fact! Bowser Jr. is so fun to play as, most unique newcomer for sure.
so basically amiibos are pokemon in a smash game. that is actually brilliant. as long as they actually learn thats actually pretty cool.
correction. You can change the color and name of your amiibo at your command but you have to do it in a different setting. Actually the only thing you can't change are their exp (lvl)

there were 3 sets of 35 challenges on the 3ds
Thanks, cause I was a-gonna say that.
I know, right? That mistake made me so mad! They didn't even try!
there are actually 105 challenges in the 3DS version, you just have to unlock the other 2 panels by completing each panel
Note on 26: there was more than 35 challenges in 3ds version. If you complete the first panel of challenges you get a new panel of harder challenges. I have 3 panels so far so that makes 105 challenges on 3ds. Anyone have more panels than that?
Great research, Nick. Your notes are next level.
Oh so the amiibo feature is kind of like a virtual pet then? I can see people finding it pointless, but I think that's pretty darn cool. It will make the figures feel more personal and everything with the way you train them.
Great informative video I want the game even more now. November 21st can't come soon enough!

Thanks for this video. It is very nice. I have gotten kinda tired of the 3DS version because of bad vision(even on my XL) and the controller cramping my hands. The best Super Smash Brothers ever.
What are the chances of the C-stick menu shake being DLC?
Great work man. One question, can you summon more than one Pokemon and assist trophy at the same time? If so, what's the max number you can summon?
Good video, a ton of work was put into the Wii U version to step up the bar.
THOSE GRAPHICS.THAT GAMEPLAY.VERY EPICNESS.NEED WIIU NOW.
100 new things we learned about the Pilot Wings stage.
Stage Builder has gotten better. Thank god!!
Fantastic video, seriously impressed with all 100 points.

I once played Smash Tour and a team battle came up. However, a person from the opposite team had the Latias & Latios trophy (which allows you to team up with another fighter) and teamed up with my teammate. Never again.
Great job Nick, very informative! Thanks :D
Awesome to hear CPUs take up empty spaces in Smash Tour, can't see me getting a full four player game that often.
I am legitimately surprised that people are surprised that they can't play as their own Amiibo's. It's been known since day one at E3.
6:29 i cry every time i see the flying man but no lucas :C
the 3ds had about 105 challenges not 35 there are 3 panels and when you complete the first you unlock the second do a specific challenge on the second on and unlock the third
There are actually more then 35 challenges on the 3DS version, you just have to do them all to unlock the rest
I hope you can reset your Amiibo... Granted you might teach it everything you want it to know, but what if you feel off, like that's not what you would want it to do in some specific scenario? Can you change the KO zone on level editor and is there a way to share maps?
What do you mean by "You can't play as you're figure players"? You can't control the amiibo you use?
No. Why would you? That makes zero sense.
TheCrabMiner I thought it would be like Skylanders or Disney Infinity that when you scan the amiibo, you can bring to life as a playable character.
FavorateGamingPeople What would be the point? You have all the characters, why would you need to buy a toy to play as these characters you already have?
YOU CAN POWER THEM UP!
TheCrabMiner YOU CAN POWER THEM UP!
that must have been a whole lot of work!
Idk what your talking about n3ds ssb4 has the same trophies. Feels good to have a 197 damage MII lul
Bowser Jr. looks so good on Wii U!
The hype train left before I could grab a seat! Nick, can I have your seat at the next station?

Will you be able to reset FPs? I'm worried that if I get one and battle with it, it will learn not very helpful skills or in general just have poor AI. Either that, will they have the same level of toughness across all levels?
I've seen in an IGN video that you can start amiibo over from the beginning.
also after they hit 50 they can still learn
I might just get some amibos because they sound rather cool.

Amiibos still continue to learn after level 50 (which is the max level.)
TheMagnum924 Thank you for the reply =]
TheMagnum924 So you can training them with or without items? .. so if I train them with and without items ... it would be good doing with both options ?

There are not 35 challenges in the 3DS version. There's 3 pages of 35 challenges each, totaling 105.
Its funny, I was one of the few people that actually wanted Bowser Jr. Then, he joins the battle and becomes the most fun character to play as.
11:26 did u see how fast link's down smash animation was? Were u using the smooth lander badge?
There were at least 105 challenges in the 3DS version of Smash.
Re:26. 3DS has more than 35 challenges. You only looked at the first page (of THREE).
