Man I'd have to look into it im not absolutely certain, but I think Pete Carroll definitely has a "type" when it comes to defensive players in the draft, they're almost always bigger than average and rarely undersized. Besides what dude said is prolly right, be real hard for them to pass on Carter at #5, unless it's for Tyree Wison,or Will Anderson, here again though I'm not so sure Anderson meets the size criteria for Pete Carroll's defense to play edge, I want to say he always drafted BIG defensive lineman, not the smaller quicker quys.
If im the raiders i trade back & get another 2nd & or 3rd … & take this guy somewhere in the teens. I personally see more consistency from him then i do from Carter
So you rolling with Jimmy G. huh? No thoughts about a QB? He and Brian Hoyer gonna make Josh McDaniels look like a genius and bring it home huh? Silly bro, really you're ONLY chance with Mahomes in your division is to get a QB like Richardson and have him actually work out. Until you counter the unstoppable force that is in KC, it doesn't matter what you do.
@@barbaraGobert31 lolllll Richardson is years away from being a finished product. Besides CJ stroud this qb class is weak af. Richardson even potentially being available to select makes 0 sense because this team wouldnt win the division this upcoming year or the next with all the holes on defense. Get a qb in next years draft while this team assembles a decent team 💀 not one the lets baker mayfield drive 99 yards in the clutch or watch kyler murray run circles on ours dline lmao
We’re gonna have to take him at six that’s definitely not a reach compared to who is going to be on that board for what we need he’s not gonna be there at 18
I feel that is a little high according to the scouting reports, but you just never KNOW...right? I'm nit a Lions fan but a saints fan,who pays attention cause DA Campbell and Aaron Glenn were both assistant coaches to Sean Payton in New Orleans for years and years. I would honestly say the lions should have much bigger fish to fry at #18 most of the mocks I run still has Kancey sitting there almost every time to pick #40-#45. I mean if you're really wanting to go all in, and really wanting to go defense in this draft I say just grab Jalen Carter at DT, he should slide at least that far to Detroit at #6...also just my opinion as an outsider buy ive always noticed the Lions do better with hometown guys in the draft, you can get Mazi Smith at DT easily if you trade up a couple spots from #48 , you have double 3rd rounders next year.I do know this, at #18 there will be alot of ways the Lions can go, I'd just hate to see them do something foolish in the 1st like reach on a WR or a CB. I saw the raiders have two years of double 1st rounders and walked away with Damon Arnette, Alex Leatherwood, and Henry Ruggs. The skill players are alot harder to pen down outside the top 10 picks, none of those 3 1st rounders the raiders picked is even still on the team and two are completely out the league! Another thing, if you go offensive line in the 1st(at #6 or #18) you continue building on what is the biggest strength of this team, the offensive line.
@@barbaraGobert31 lions are definitely going corner at 6. They got rid of Okudah and brought in solid corners but they are older. Look for them to get Devon Witherspoon or Christian Gonzalez, if Kancey is there at 18 they should absolutely take him and pair him with Hutch on the D Line
What does "wonders" on the D-line look like on the raiders defense? I saw a graphic they put up when Carr went to the Saints that the absolute BEST defense they had in his decade under center for the team was like 21st or 24th something like that,so yeah back 1/3 of the league every year on defense and bottom 5 some years...so what will "miracles" look like???
You're out your rabid @$$ mind dude...as if. They're building a winning football team in Detroit. What about that tells you it's time to reach and gran a player THIRTY WHOLE SPOTS higher than his ranking in the class? Do stupid things like that and you wind up like the Raiders...3 1st rounders in two years, none on the team and two out of football completely! Alex Leatherwood, Damon Arnette, and Henry Ruggs, all 1st rounders, all off the team in about a year. You do the double 1st round draft picks RIGHT and you get better like the lions are, do idiotic and inexplicable things and your team wastes those picks and stays bad 👎
Even with Carter available I think I take Kancey. Carter has clearly become a wild card in my opinion which is a shame because he is a freak of an athlete.
Meh I like Carter...but after watching how poorly Jordan Davis did this year I gotta wonder, is it even worth it to get the 1st defensive tackle off the board?
@@barbaraGobert31 clearly you didn’t watch Jordan David he had a lot of great defensive tackles in front of him last year was him and nakobe dean redshirt he gone show y’all what he can do
WELCOME TO TAMPA!!
I can watch this all days long
LET’S GO BUCS, WE DRAFTED 2 PANTHERS!!!!!

For real...the Carter pick is as about a no brainer as it gets for the Bears !

Saints gotta trade up for this dude, we NEED him badly
Lol bucs got em
dude is a BEAST, him and crosby would be an nasty duo 🔥
I hope my Bears get him...I think he would be a great 3 tech for Matt's defense
I’d love for the lions to get this guy at 18
He won't be there at 18 man! 🏈

Hell I agree but I would take him even with our 6th pick. Guarantee franchise pick
