Very helpful. Your videos on the FSi6 radio have saved me lots of headache. I've noticed my Neutron going nose up with throttle...this is just the ticket. I'm starting a new glider build, trying to lighten the weight. I've cut the carbon/graphite shaft from an old golf club...makes a light and strong tapered boom !
Great timing, Andrew, I just maidened the Night Radian 2m yesterday , the nose pitched up under throttle big time, it was perfectly trimmed for gliding. This is a perfect glider, a much better floater than the Phoenix Evolution 1.6m I debuted a month ago. I would say the Radian is the better thermal glider hands down over the Phoenix Evolution. The Night Radian also has a better wing mount system and some of their fuselage and prop issues have been addressed. Very impressive, slow gliding.
Very helpful video, i wanted to do the same but elevator up and have it on a switch just for launch, but dont think i can put it on a switch with flsky
Another handy tip, Andrew! 👍 Q: What mic are you using on your cap? The only decent mic I have at moment is a bulky Rode omni for my DSLR and I'm shopping for a good lavalier or similar. Cheers
@@AndrewNewton Thanks, Andrew. I am impressed that works so well. I think I may have a couple of those little mics laying around somewhere - never actually tried them
How do I connect this transmitter to a 6 channel plane I have it mostly figured out but I can’t get the part that’s makes the plane go up and down and turn to work it’s either I make the plane turn or go up and down seems only channel 1 and 2 work for that and I have a 6 channel hobby king bix 3
Hi i've got 2 questions. 1. I have the fs ia6b reciver, and can that handle analog and digital servos? Maybe the MG90S servo? 2. When you are using folding props than those prop blades can flap about 150 degrees foward and back, or it can't fold fowarder than they are in one straight? Thanks
Hello. Yes both sorts of servos work will any radio. MG90S is my favourite cheap metal gear servo. Folding props swing out to 90º when spinning, and I don't know why they allow them to pivot further forward. Maybe so they can be used as pusher props?
I don't want to use as pusher prop, and i can they are swing out 90 degrees. I bought a folding prop and spinner for it from hobbyking, and after i assemblyed it the prop blades can fold foward a bit when it not spins. Is that problem? (i couldn't try out with spinning, but i not want to destroy my new motor)
I bought this flysky i6 for a cheap 10 channel radio. I watch your video plus 6 other maybe more on what to download what data cable to buy and still can't get it to work, sure would like those other channels. Even got my old windows 7 out to see if that would work, NOPE. I don't know if you can help or not. E-mailed Flysky never heard back. I'm running Windows 10. It's to late to send this radio back, should of bought a 10 channel to begin with. Just thought you might want to know
There are a bunch of You Tube videos showing hacks to upgrade these radios. I tried a couple of ways and was not successful. It is important to note that these are 3rd party hackers , NOT FlySky approved upgrades. For some reason Fly Sky never did these upgrades, even though the radio obviously has the potential.
The Flysky radio has some minor limitations, but is still amazingly flexible and probably still the best value radio out there.
Thanks for posting.
More mixes would be good
@@AndrewNewton And telemetry alarms for rssi..
How awesome that you posted this. It was very recently, I pointed some folks toward your videos as the best FlySky tutorials on RUclips.
Thanks Dustin
Saved the day again
Very nice now lets see how it works. Happy Flying

Perfect shaft, good luck with the new build
Good video mate very helpfull , I use the i6 and also the i6 x 10 channel so more of these i6 videos please.
Thanks Andrew for another easy to follow instructional video. By the way your help installing the flight controller was a great success.
Excellent Colin.
Thanks, i'll try that !
Excellent , I will use this on my axn-floater but with up elevator. It has tendency to nose down on the launch. Thank You for the tip!
I learned a lot - again.
Had just been trying to stay airborne without damage. Thanks
Keep at it. One day the plane will do exactly what you want

Yep nothing thermals like a Radian
Thank you for sharing these helpful videos!
No problem, I like doing them
Thanks
Thanks man 👍
Good tips
Wow, I think there are a lot of guys with chesper i6, so thanks for showing something for us!)
I have the TX, still handy radio, will see if I can do this with my tx6
Thanks. Great idea.
If we upgrade the firmware can we get more mixed channels. I need elivator with throttle. Flaperons and aleron mixing with rudder
loved your videos for many years ! i'd like to limit my ailerons to up only, to reduce adverse yaw, is that possible ?
Separate aileron channels, and play with the output trim limits
Useful especially for us plebes who use cheaper Tx's. Saves us from having to extrapolate from the instruction for Open TX systems :)
Sweet. The ideas are the same but very different execution
Very helpful video, i wanted to do the same but elevator up and have it on a switch just for launch, but dont think i can put it on a switch with flsky
If you have a spare channel you might be able to assign the switch to a channel then use the channel in a mix
Andrew, thank you
No problem, I enjoy making these videos
Please explain how to setup an aileron - rudder mix. Thx
