I’ve had a chance to play around with this more. Here’s what I’ve been doing for the most beautiful blow out! I spritz some water on my hair. I use 2 flexi rods for the top section, 2 flexi rods for the middle section, and 1 flexi rod for the bottom section. ❤ I then spray a medium hold hair spray over my hair that’s wrapped. I go to sleep and wake up with the most gorgeous salon blow out!
My college roommate did this and had gorgeous hair. She used thinner socks, much smaller sections of hair, and tied the toe and heel of each sock together to hold them in place.
Thankyou so much!! You are absolutely amazing! Before I started watching your videos, my hair was greasy but now my hair is glossy and fabulous 💖 I love your heatless curls videos! I finally have a great routine after my shower by using oils, and no heat! Thanks again!
A few years ago, I did heatless crimps and they turned out fabulous! Here is how I did it: On my damp hair, I did 10 braids. Before doing each braid, I applied some mousse. After doing all the braids, I applied some hairspray. I slept in the braids and when I took them out the next day, I got amazing crimps! It actually looked like I used a crimping iron, but didn't 😀
I thought it looked really pretty at first, but then the more I looked at it, the less pretty it looked, honestly. I would probably rate it a seven. My hair is probably 3 inches shorter than your hair, so maybe it would work out better for me. I’ll give it a try.
you’ve taught me so much about overnight curls! What I do with mine once I’ve done the rope curls is cut the legs off a pair of stockings and use the top of the stockings as cap that keeps the rope curls in place. It fits snuggly and works so well!
This may sound weird, but I watched one of these and the woman said you actually have to wrap the curl forward rather than backward in order to get away from the face curls. Something about how the hair falls once you let it down.
The front looks really nice. I agree about that front piece being a little off. Maybe a flexi-rod would do the trick or just make the section a little bigger? It doesn’t really look like much happened to the back though. You and your hair are always so gorgeous though, you can pull off anything!
The sock curls YES! The flexi rods didn't seem to do much? I've wanted to try sock curls for a long time but always felt they looked uncomfortable to sleep in, but now that I have your word for it, I'll try sock curls!
If you're a side sleeper, than not uncomfortable at all! As long as you position them like I did. I hope they work well for you! I will def. keep playing around with them! 💗
I love these waves. I will definitely try it. My only concern is that I have a lot of hair and my hair is super curly so I don’t know if I’ll get the same result.
Yours is the fourth video I have watched and each technique was very different. I would love to see how your hair would look using some of the other techniques, some of which looked better for sleeping comfortably. Still, it was very pretty in the front and your makeup is gorgeous.
Yes, or small soup cans!😂😂 We also tried flat ironing our hair with the clothes iron on the ironing board....yikes! A little too hot. Many, many, many years later we have the curling irons then flat irons. I'm 73 now with rear end length hair and think the socks are the best solution! Thanks for sharing.❤❤❤
It was so so easy and fast so that has to go into the score :) I give the front a 7 because of the one bit that was so different and the back a 5. You inspired me to try it and see~
I was literally thinking today that having some other heatless curls methods for different types of curls would be amazing! Thank you so much for meeting my needs at the EXACT time when i need it 😅. amazing video love when I don’t need to try these hacks and methods myself and instead can sit back, relax and let lainey do the work 🫶🏼❤️, hope you have a brilliant week
I love the way it made your hair turn out! My hair is alil shorter now. I had to cut it, it was so unhealthy looking. I don't have any of those poles. I'll have to get some and try this. I'm mean rods 🤭 I think it looks beeeuuutiful!
That looks beautiful, but definitely not what you were shooting for. I also think that it didn’t do much for the top of your hair, which is my main challenge with heatless methods. (Robe curls is the only method that gave me any volume/control on top, and I’m a side sleeper so I don’t do that very often.) I think your idea of adding more flexi rods is a good one-larger diameter equals looser curl. Also, is it me or would this almost be a cute updo if you couldn’t see the socks?
It’s odd the one you did with the sock only came out the curliest. Maybe the section wasn’t as big? You would think the sections with the rods would have been curlier? I think it turns out good overall. Maybe a little curling iron on that front section to bring it together? You alway look fabulous and I love your videos! ❤
Right!! I was fully expecting some curly hair with how well my hair was wrapped on those rods! I might try it with damp hair. I will keep playing around with it! Thanks for the comment 💗
I vaguely remember at some past time a modern take on old fashioned sponge rollers was advertised. A sponge roller but longer was sewn between cotton fabric and the ends could be tied or could be twisted to hold. I don't want to use heat or even commercial dry shampoos for volume because some have harmful ingredients. One recently advertised on YT had a harmful ingredient. Plus many products build up on the hair and eventually become gummy and hard to remove even with a clarifying treatment. The best How to grow long lair video I've seen was by Catherine Sewing.
I’ve seen some sponge rollers on Amazon. I’ll have to try them! I try not to use any products that are bad on my hair. There’s so many ingredients used in hair products that it’s hard to know what’s bad and what’s not ❤
@@LaineyMarieBeauty You know i ditched the drug store products, ditched silicones, tried professional products, natural sulphate free products and I ended up with a tangled matted birds nest head. My hair was better before any of the so called "good stuff" I'm so over it. Love your tutorials thanks :)
I wouldn’t do damp. It might leave kinks and some spots won’t dry well. I did dry ❤when your hair is rolled up, you could spritz some water on it, if you wanted!
As a side sleeper how in the hell do you sleep with robe tie curls. I am a side sleeper and I cannot tolerate them for sleep weather I use a literal dressing robe tie or the satin headband pre made tools. I just can't lay on it, feels rock hard. Makes me sad because I love the curl it gives me but i love my sleep more. I have to just roll up the hair under my chin for sleep and leave everything above my chin straight.
I think it would have been a little better if it was curling away from your face. But I really appreciate you testing all the things so we don’t have to!
Love your videos and how well you explain how to do things. Maybe a 6 for the way it turned out. I'm going to try this but use just two rods in each sock. The front was too curly and the back not curly enough. I'm excited to try this!
Thank you for showing the original creator, or at least who seems to make it viral - yeshipolito. Something about it makes you feel more real than some other content creator being like "hey this is my tip for you! 😘". And I love the review/troubleshooting observations.

can you make a video of this look? curious to see the results !

Middle part is the solution especially with blow outs it just looks so much better.

10?!! Wow! I don't think I have enough hair for braids in my hair! Lol I'll have to try that way though! I'm sure it turned out gorg!
My mom did that on my hair in 1988! I think that was the first time my hair was styled.
I thought it looked really pretty at first, but then the more I looked at it, the less pretty it looked, honestly. I would probably rate it a seven. My hair is probably 3 inches shorter than your hair, so maybe it would work out better for me. I’ll give it a try.
I actually liked the tighter curls on your right side. Your left side looked almost straight. The curls were so pretty
you’ve taught me so much about overnight curls! What I do with mine once I’ve done the rope curls is cut the legs off a pair of stockings and use the top of the stockings as cap that keeps the rope curls in place. It fits snuggly and works so well!
That's what I do with leggings when I do my daughter's heatless curls. The waist band goes around her head and holds everything in place.
I think you look beautiful!! Thanks for trying this and showing us!
THAT TURNED OUT FANTASTIC! YOUR HAIR LOOKS FABULOUS! THANKS N HUGS, RILEY

Yes! I will try the flexi rod in the front and maybe try adding one more sock to get the back better! Thank you for the comment!💓
Your makeup looks gorgeous! This would be an amazing holiday look! Just maybe add some oil and pin the left side for an old Hollywood look?
The sock curls YES! The flexi rods didn't seem to do much? I've wanted to try sock curls for a long time but always felt they looked uncomfortable to sleep in, but now that I have your word for it, I'll try sock curls!

I think you always look fantastic! I love the curl. Thanks for sharing, I will try it out. You rock!!
Thanks for the comment ❤❤
She is so awesome and super kind and the hair styles are so cute 🥰
Your makeup is so pretty. This might be good as a foundation and just use a curling iron to fix anything u don't like. I want to try this
Good idea! Thank you so much! I need to keep playing around with them!

I remember in high school we set our hair on orange juice cans! Imagine sleeping on that! Your curls look great!
Oh wow!! Lol that would not be comfy!! But I imagine the curls looked great and voluminous! Thank you 😊

Love it with socks!!!! Looks nice
Hello Newbie Here!! You LOOK Gorgeous! I think it came out Beautiful!
Personally, I think it looks really good!! (especially no more work as there is to it!)
I literally do this every night ever since I found this video…. 2 days ago 😂😂😂 I’m obsessed
I’m thinking of making silk socky things to try this. 😊

The rods are great! But I don’t recommend sleeping in them. Super uncomfy!!
Beautiful hair and you are pretty. Loved hearing your boys :-)

It not bad, maybe try the curling iron and see what happens. You have beautiful hair. What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use?
Thank you! I will try it for sure. Anything Redken at the moment and a OAUI detox shampoo!

I think it looks beautiful! Was your hair fully dried or damp?
It was dried ❤
I actually like your hair like that! 😊

Maybe do smaller sections?
Should your hair be damp when doing this or not?
I wouldn’t do damp. It might leave kinks and some spots won’t dry well. I did dry ❤when your hair is rolled up, you could spritz some water on it, if you wanted!
What a cool idea!
Thank you 😊❤
I think they look great! Still I have not curled my hair in so long I can’t ember the last time I did.
Thank you! 💗 I try to do overnight curls a few times a week!
I love the flexirod curls. I think if you did all of it with it would be great.
Yes! I’ve used them before in a video. The curls turned out great but they were not at all comfy to sleep in ❤
Quite nice for your fitst attempt. Sleeping with anything in ones air is most always an issue.

for better results use thicker socks and wrap them towards your face not away from it :)
