      @@joemenzaart I have done a couple with the large hake in acrylic Joe, not entirely happy but have ordered the small one to gain more experience.

      @@MrLarrymann I used a hake on acrylic a couple of times. I felt like it probably was a little hard on the brush but it worked.

      Thank you. It does require some practice. I’ve used the hake for over 3 years now. But with our help you can see results pretty quick

    Joe, what did you use to put in the birds? I notice it wasn't a paintbrush. I need something like that too. Please would you let me know what it was? Thank you and hope you're still monitoring comments on this one 😊

    How on earth do you get away with using only 90# paper??? I use 140# and it warps a little. Very pretty landscape!

      Tight clipping and maybe because I use stronger paint and less water.

    I loved this session. You questioning yourself, making decisions on camera your not being entirely happy with the end product, all the things that happen when you're painting a picture. But you need a more interesting tree, like a juniper. Besides those kinds of hardwood don't grow that close to open ocean.

    • @joemenzaart
      @joemenzaart  4 года назад +1

      I paint mostly from imagination so those kinds of trees grow there in my mind. :) Also when you watch my videos you're seeing my journey back from when I was a beginner. This video is almost a year old now. Thanks for watching!

      @@joemenzaart I like painting without drawing first, good imagination. BTW, I was painting along with the video and painted the same kinda tree as you had, that's when thought, "Dang, that should be a juniper."
