Love this technique! Thanks for sharing.
I Love your videos and can hardly wait to watch them all! I am learning so much and am no longer afraid to try to paint anymore. You make things look so easy and simple. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you I’m glad this has helped. 😀👍
Simply delightful! You make it look so easy 😀😀😁😁
I need to try this. It's amazing!!!!!!!
Thank you
Very good!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
The ay you do this is absolutely amazing! I love your videos and the way you explain things!
Could watch your videos all day long Joe, so fascinating alas i got things to do, unfortunately not painting.
Thank you Larry. Yes sadly there are so many things to do it keeps me from painting as much as I’d like too
@@joemenzaart I have done a couple with the large hake in acrylic Joe, not entirely happy but have ordered the small one to gain more experience.
@@MrLarrymann I used a hake on acrylic a couple of times. I felt like it probably was a little hard on the brush but it worked.
@@joemenzaart mine work out too dark, but hey i'm learning plus most of all i enjoy what i'm doing perhaps not the result lol
Sorry to seem i'm a stalker but i just love your paintings, have you any books out Joe ?
Bravo Joe. Tried and tried etc.etc. Its not easy using a hake. Looks easier than it is/.
Thank you. It does require some practice. I’ve used the hake for over 3 years now. But with our help you can see results pretty quick
Fantastic Joe👍👍👍
Draw with Jonny Thanks Jonny!
so beautiful very nice work !
SOOART thank you 😊
Joe, what did you use to put in the birds? I notice it wasn't a paintbrush. I need something like that too. Please would you let me know what it was? Thank you and hope you're still monitoring comments on this one 😊

The waves look great, Joe
Just found u - I have a couple of rarely used hake brushes, now maybe I can finally put them to use ! Thanks
That’s great! Thanks for watching.
Very nice outcome considering you used a student grade paper. You're paintings with the hake brush are getting better and better. Keep on going!
This is stunning. I just found your channel. Nice artwork, and U have taught me some new techniques. . I just ordered my 1st hake brush, and can't wait to play with it.
Great technique for clouds and water. Helps me a great deal.
Relish your videos!
Catherine Doherty Thank you!
How on earth do you get away with using only 90# paper??? I use 140# and it warps a little. Very pretty landscape!
Tight clipping and maybe because I use stronger paint and less water.
That is amazing , and inspiring. I am a beginner and have ordered hake brushes. So want to paint like you......incredible
Thank you. But remember, learn techniques from other artists and in the end, paint like you. 😀
I loved this session. You questioning yourself, making decisions on camera your not being entirely happy with the end product, all the things that happen when you're painting a picture. But you need a more interesting tree, like a juniper. Besides those kinds of hardwood don't grow that close to open ocean.
I paint mostly from imagination so those kinds of trees grow there in my mind. :) Also when you watch my videos you're seeing my journey back from when I was a beginner. This video is almost a year old now. Thanks for watching!
@@joemenzaart I like painting without drawing first, good imagination. BTW, I was painting along with the video and painted the same kinda tree as you had, that's when thought, "Dang, that should be a juniper."
