What size is the paper? I have some Fabriano sheets 16X20” but I find it too large to work on , so I cut it. I also have an arches block 9x12” which I feel more comfortable working on. What size do you suggest? Im a beginner
11x14. This is fabriano studio. Your large sheets are probably better quality. The arches would be the premium choice but for beginners I usually recommend practicing on 25 percent cotton.
Thanks. Anything you don’t like you can change when you paint it yourself. That’s the nice thing about these videos is that it can show you things to avoid and change up,
stunning!
Thank you
I like the added grey on the bottom of the clouds!👍
Love all of this, but the work you did on the clouds is my favorite part. Thanks very much.
Thoroughly appreciate your talent with painting and instruction. 😎🎉🥰
I guess I need a hake! You make it look so effortless! I love how relaxed you are with your painting! Thank you!
I love the way you paint I've just got my sift a Ron Ransom Hake
Thank you. Be sure to join our Ron Ranson group on Facebook if you can. Happy painting!
I like the grey in the skies. Looks very real. Where are the birds. All 3 just lovely. (Still waiting for my medium hake to arrive).
This is such a deep and brooding scene. Excellent work.
Once again, very interesting and informative. I really appreciate how you explain your process and thinking. Thank you very much, Joe.

Maravillosa forma de pintar!
Beautiful artwork‼︎ Super talented‼︎
Great video and tips...but try to secure the camera a little better next time. The motion of the camera made it difficult to watch. Thanks!
This one was done outside on my table they aren’t all like this one.
the water would dry before it hit the paper, Buckeye, AZ 110 degrees, but a dry heat another nice work
I do see granulation this time. By an large, ultramarine is a granulating color I believe. The dark clouds look awesome
Joe, you said ground is not red, have you checked the Australian outback? Warren
I guess there is red soil

9x12 is about as small as I would go with using the Hake and use the medium size.
Really nice but I didn't like the grey in the sky.
