Back in August 2022 I hosted some friends for an operating session on the "new" layout. Over the course of 2 days, I recorded random clips of the operations to document the good times. There's not really a narrative to this video, but I hope you at least enjoy a peek at the sights and sounds of the layout when it's running as it was intended.
Thanks to the gang who made the drive, and please be sure to check out a couple of their channels right here!

Must be great having such a good layout and good friends to help operate it. I've always enoyed watching your operating sessions with friends and how you operate it like the real thing, this is beyond playing. Looking forward to the next one and further scenic updates.
Thanks! It's really fun and rewarding when everything is working as intended. Glad you enjoyed, and definitely stay tuned.

Good afternoon. Please tell me what kind of rails you have, what brand are the rails?
GREAT job: wonderful
Been a while since you posted. Welcome back.
Is that the csx mac white River Rails made?
Yes it is his
@@BNLX_7046 ok thx

Great ops. You have come a long ways since 2022.
Thanks! Yeah it looks quite different, doesn't it?
thanks great ops fun to watch ,i would loved to find a place near me to do that
It was a ton of fun! A good place to look might be the NMRA. Their regional groups often have operating circuits and layout tours, so that would be a great place to find a layout or two that you could get involved with.

Thanks for posting. Enjoyable to watch. I loved seeing the pushers (DPU) distributed power units. Is that the correct term? The oil train was a beaut. Did all trains really run as well as shown in the video?😃
Cheers Ken
Thanks, Ken! Yes, we were using DPUs pretty often. For the MOST part, I think things ran as they seemed. We did have a couple of troublesome grain cars that wanted to jump the tracks, but I later figured out that the wheelsets were out of gauge. It was a simple fix.

Awesome video man!
Thanks, Caleb! Glad you enjoyed it. If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to check out this video: ruclips.net/video/rGptmiG60po/видео.html
It's from the same session, but it's a bit more comprehensive/refined.

@@railfan220 Will do, can't get enough of you're layout dude. You're new Marias pass scenery is incredible!
Does your roster have different or added motive power now?
A lot of the power in this video is owned by the operators who were visiting. Here's another video highlighting that equipment: ruclips.net/video/rGptmiG60po/видео.html
That channel is where much of the power came from (including the CSX MAC). Thanks for watching!
