Because after the events of WiC, the situation for the Soviets are very precarious since all their 'Category A' forces are either destroyed or heavily damaged following the failed occupation of the US leaving europe to be defended by Category B and C forces. China is the one that puzzles me. Are they gonna help reinforce europe? Are they gonna open a new front in Asia?
@@gluever54 From What I could understand from WOC. Most of the Soviet forces sent to America where not Category A forces, but more expendable B or C troops. Don't forget the Invasion was done not to take out the USA but more to force the USA to pull forces back from Europe, allowing the Soviets to finish of their European invasion using the Cat A troops there. China I think likely made an attempt on Taiwan and likely helped North Korea attack the South, also might have done some strikes at Japan. I doubt Chinese forces where sent to aid in Europe. Their alliance with the USSR seemed more like a opportunist one than a real strong one. They might even after the landing failed just bow out of the war on terms. NATO likely would rather give China a good deal and not fight them than have to face another major power.

I can imagine getting a bunch of friends together and getting in a call together, designating 1 for air support, 2 for ground forces, and 1 for artillery. Having one of your friends back you up with vipers as you push an objective with infantry and armour, and then artillery suppressing the flanks.
That's what I was thinking! 😂 my friends always make me lead when we play squad so they tell me I'm going to be playing the support role on this game and give them advice on moves while my friend who's always a badass with a rifle will main ground troops and the other friend who's always the heli jockey is in charge of air support and air based units, this game is gona be fun with friends when it comes out
15:34 I’ve seen this too many times in this game now. Your units don’t make any alarms when they are being shot at. There are no announcers or alert sounds when they got killed either. Like, these are two very standard things to have in an rts and yet it’s not on the top of their list.
it's still in beta, though if you get hit by artillery and it kills 5 squads, you'd have all of them screaming in your ear while you're trying to focus.

I've been playing a helo-centered strategy with US too and this is about how my games go as well. I'd suggest trying to get recon behind your opponent's line more - it's not too hard to swing a couple of snipers in there with helos in the first few minutes that will spot all their artillery and AA for the rest of the game. Make sure you fill up your Stallions' seats and weight capacity, I usually bring in a big squad of Marines or Raiders, a small squad, and a LAV at one time. Dealing with armor is pretty tough if you do this. If you only bring in airmobile units, all you get for anti-tank is ATGMs, so tanks with APS are really hard to deal with - I take cluster on my Himars and I've also got Hornet Ds with a mix of Snakeyes and Rockeyes. I had a game where one immobilized T-15 ate the combined AT ammunition of two Marine squads, a Marine Raider squad, and a Force Recon squad, infantry AT in this game is MUCH weaker than in WARNO.
Can't wait to play this. I really hope we eventually get DLC's for NATO, China and other countries. The scenario and editing options will be endless if they do.
Great job Vulcan that was a fun game to watch. Your right flank was working hard to hold and at least pushing. But man that left flank was lackluster. Great work in the middle though.
While it is annoying to have your ballistic missiles intercepted, resupplying them is pretty cheap and on the plus side youll empty out their SAM batteries and create a good 60 second gap while they reload for friendly air strikes and such
Russian helos can land troops directly in to the high rise buildins. I assume everyone can do it. They land on the roof and its a lot faster then landing. Also you can have the helos fly low but they are slower. V key in game.
FYI if you designate a target with your snipers, Himars (lasergided by default) or the laserguided version of your 120mm or 155mm arty makes quick work of everything
@@zanesmith2609 Idk to be honest, cluster seems to do less damage but with greater AOE. So unguided longrange I prefere Cluster, for Stuff I can guide or is a large target (buildings) I use he. My standart american loadout is with 1-2 Himars (cluster) for counterbatter and 2-3 vehicleborn 120mm Mortar HE with laser and I am happy with it tho not sure it's the best.
90% of players in the beta are trash. To be expected and ok. Suprisingly popular game in an extremely niche genre with a infamous learning cliff with, to top it off, no tutorial!
Yeah its got a learning curve. It needs to have a skirmish mode to get the hang of it. I never realized I had to deploy my radar system for the patriots since im so used to WG. BA has a lot of micro management that I dont think needs to be there right now given the battles arent as grand as they can be in the future
At the moment the playerbase is very green. I set up a deck for support, relying on artillery, supply, HARMS, etc.... I left 10 minutes into the match, I was covering 2/3rds of the entire map fighting 3 separate players at a time while 4 of ours couldn't even push 1 in a city. The game seriously needs a surrender vote because some matches sre genuinely that lopsided. It also seriously needs a quicker way to end than just capping everything, on some maps, you practically need the cooperation of 2+ players with good micro in order to push effectively and getting that sorted out (half of it just trying to figure out which players are good), end up taking 25 out of 30 minutes. I genuinely have had a really bad experience on any of the non-corridor maps because on open maps, I simply don't have enough units to work with to mount any kind of defense in depth, much less one which is properly supported with armor. I'm not even that good - I lost 90% of my matches in Wargame. The playerbase is just that bad.
you should try to have a more extensive train in logistics. Get your lvsr to hull out a big pile in the back. Then have lavLs or m54s haul the supplies closer. Your artillery should never be anywhere close to the supplies when taking firing positions and as soon as theyre done shooting move them to a pile of supplies.lavLs are great for quick delivery while still have armor and firepower for fending off smaller targets. The m45s are great for a delivering a decently large pile that lavLs can take closer to the front. I always set small supply piles closer to the front that way units can fall back for a quick recovery. It's a lot of micromanaging, but if your front is strong then you shouldn't worry too much. The one thing I'm always finding myself lacking is making sure infantry dont run out of missile ammo. That goes for all infantry as most have some anti armor weapons. Including the basic marines which seem to have some of the higher amount being up to 6 at4s.
11:30 I don't know if they changed it in the Open Beta, but before you could have units go into buildings but clicking them (Not the Enemy Unit) and they would breach it and depending on the unit they would clear quickly and take reduced damage, Raiders and Force Recon could clear a building really fast and take very little damage

Having been in the military, Broken Arrow is far more realistic in terms of scale, and the jockying for positions where each unit lost is a big deal. That was always my issue with Wargame and now Warno, its too fast paced and chaotic and makes for an interesting gameplay loop but isnt as realistic
3 things need to be reviewed in this game. -Moving the camera with the keyboard. It was supposed to be possible to move with the mouse. -It was supposed to be possible to lock the camera on aircraft at a considerable distance -Helicopter countermeasures should be triggered automatically
Vulcan you should check, but I pretty sure the SMAWs are HE only. They have a loadout option that gives them a SRAW top-attack short range AT option though.
Hello again Vulcan, it was me who asked what button LOS was. you say it was C button, and i tryed that and no luck. But i found out it was on ALT i dont know why it is, i have not change the controls, i hope it helps other players
They need to fix transport vehicles to add units it can be annoying to be have multiple seats and not being able to fit let's Marines and Stingers in one, unless it's Heli like demonstrated. Nice HIMARS shots I love rocket artillery in my decks also.
Can you split squads over multiple vehicles? I think the Marine Raiders are 14 men and the AAVP has 21 seats, so three squads would fit in two vehicles (42/42 seats)

If you have teammates that disconnect during the battle, does the AI take over? There are times where it feels like my allies have no units on the map, and i cant tell if its because they lost a lot of expensive units or they just left.
Why drop VDV right on top of the objective when it is surrounded when the opponent could have landed them a few blocks away to work their way up in support (39:50), especially after raining down a bunch of munitions on the players Raiders units? Waste of some good units.
Game looks really nice. I was surprised about the amount of customization options for Units. There is a lot more potential in there to be found. I am more of a Singleplayer person so I am really sad that there is not really sth to do solo except a Demo mission. Also you can still feel that the game is rather badly optimized ( of course ). It does look good but it also frys my GPU if I didn't limit frames. By the way, Post-Processing is apparently one of the heaviest settings in the game. It not only is the cause of a quite significant fps loss, but also subjectively makes the game look a lot worse.
Once u used all of 1 type of unit theyr just gone or do you slowly get new ones bc i saw the orange circle ticking down on depleted infantry in the tab
So if you lose a unit is it gone for good OR does it recharge after a time? I seems like given how little of each unit you have at a time that after a time you get more of that same unit up to its max.

Why didn't you cap those points when you had the chance? I've seen a few videos now where the player deliberately waits until the last minute. Is there some game mechanic that encourages this?
It's just the game mode, there is no value to holding points really. Having more than your enemy means nothing until the end unless you go all out to capture every single one, then the game ends early.
You build the deck urself now and thus have limited variation in equipement, the demo was the campaign where u were given the units. Will differ on release ig since you now only have 1 option for your deck layout (like airborne and tank platoon specification) of wich u can choose 2 that determine in what area(tanks planes and so on) how many point u can spend to build ur deck
THE LAST ONE MINUTE , YOU SHOULD PUSH ALL YOUR TROUP TO THE CAP POINT.. THERE IS NO USE LETTING THEM STAY IN BUILDING BEHIND.. THERE WAS 7 UNITS SLEEPING , WHY NOT USE THEM ? THE GAME IS GONNA END IN 1 MINUTE ? YOU COULD HAVE CAP MORE ? WHAT IF THE ENEMY SENT ALL ? YOU COULD HAVE LOSE.
this game is a lot of fun, it feels very much like a World in Conflict sequel we've all been waiting for

Yeah it's definitely a viable strategy to saturate their AA but against units like the TOR, maybe not so much since they can have 16 missiles each.

They have 200mm HEAT pen which is good for getting through side armour but yeah I'll have a look at the upgrade, cheers

They slowly recharge if you lose them all

The latter, although if you retreat a unit to off the map it respawns much quicker.

Why didn't you cap those points when you had the chance? I've seen a few videos now where the player deliberately waits until the last minute. Is there some game mechanic that encourages this?
It's just the game mode, there is no value to holding points really. Having more than your enemy means nothing until the end unless you go all out to capture every single one, then the game ends early.
why there are less units than the demo?
You build the deck urself now and thus have limited variation in equipement, the demo was the campaign where u were given the units.
Will differ on release ig since you now only have 1 option for your deck layout (like airborne and tank platoon specification) of wich u can choose 2 that determine in what area(tanks planes and so on) how many point u can spend to build ur deck
