The best way i have found to use an Apache or a longbow, if you're using hellfires, is to put it on a long road at low altitude and use it like an AT gun. Whenever people push they move up the AA last so they are just completely unprepared and you can also run out of range really fast
Im a fan of using them behind my line and hiding them until I see a push begin to adance. Take out a couple units and bounce, the the ground units clean up
Recently played a game against someone keeping their helis in the backline to prevent me from pushing. Ended up sending a fighter plane after them since they didn't have enough of AA to shoot down my plane before i took out their helis.
Had a really good match on your side of the map from the opponent side I was finally able to push the guy off G and set up an Armata in that hill looking over that who side. It wrecked for a good amount of time.
my personal decks are using is literally like 5 different variations of marine airborne. I only take standard airborne inf, full AA, full weapons squad and two stacks of marine raiders depending how much spare points usage i have. i literally place infantry in contested/high traffic roads and travel routes towards the cap points my team has and just help them defend. I bring so little because theyre easier to micro in a small group, I can be make them as efficient as possible if need be. Two Global Hawks and both sniper teams, snipers infil'd in with black hawks behind lines that are also micro'd (altitude, specific route that I handpick), then I just leave them behind enemy lines to lase or just update enemy movements for my planes. A ton of SEAD in the form of prowlers and AR/AT equipped harriers that are in constant rotation with strike eagles and f35 jdams. today ive been trying f15 ex's with the cruise missiles and max 35's with 2ea1000lb jdams. very fun lmao, i tend to finish with 3+kd and literally help turn around losing games with the constant recon and bombing runs racking up elimination points.
Use of ballistic and cruise missiles definitely is one of plus points of the game for me. Really fun to watch and useful if done right. Also I could not understand the plan of opposition. Not pushing with their tanks, just spamming Ballistic Missiles, airdropping troops, air strikes.......
They ruin it for me. Anytime anything gets spotted its shot from every direction by arty and missles. If I bring In a pivads it gets SEAD’D. They need cap limit on units. If you lose your arty you cant buy more like in wargame
Watch 11:16 in the video. His single 7 man squad gets spotted and within 15 seconds has like 6 cruise missles shot at it. It ruins any form of fun or strategy when everything you have gets cross map nuked
@@SpoopyWhite nah man it genuinely just seems like a skill issue and there isn't anything wrong with that you should always move things periodically no matter what, and if its an important asset then you should have recon probing frontlines and guarding your flanks to make sure they cant get a spot. if its the uavs i get it but you can see it all coming from miles away you just got to move.

This feels similar, visually. This is also the only one which bothers to include modern units. Not sure why so many decided to stagnate technological progression in the eighties.
Having technology from the 1980s makes allot of sense. In real history the threat of a real ww3 was the Soviets vs NATO, both were incredibly powerful. The Soviets were no joke, in technology or in military numbers. Once you get into the 1990s the USA was a global superpower unlike the world had seen for centuries. With the fall of the Soviet Union the United States was militarily superior to any other nations really up until today, with only Now China starting to compete. People want the 1980s because that's when a "fair" fight with a major superpower was a real possibility. The only other way to have that is going for a future scenario like 2030-2040 when China hypothetically could rival the US / NATO
@@-Zevin- It wouldn't have been a fair fight, no. It reached its military height during the seventies. There's nothing wrong with having various different eras as options. I just don't understand why that's a forced limitation for many games now.
@@Xenomorphine The Soviets were very capable and rivaled and surpassed the US in many areas up until the late 1980s. I'm just pointing out that the "forced limitation" is one based on reality. To have a exciting game you want a compelling conflict, WW2, a hypothetical cold war gone hot etc. Something with real stakes, with players involved who are powerhouses. It's the same reason a good boxing match involves the two best fighters going at it. Nobody gets excited watching a heavyweight world champion beat a 120 pound kid, and that's just what the situation was post 1990s. There is no compelling case for a real threat to the US or NATO at that time. The technology of 1990s and early 2000s stuff is cool, iconic firearms and technology, but there just isn't a conflict in that time frame that is high stakes. Now on the original topic, I agree about world in conflict, loved it. So ahead of its time, I have lots of great memories playing that game, and calling in the airstrikes or tactical nuke was incredible.
I _LOVE_ the terrain in this game. WARNO/Wargame's engines seem to rely on really flat terrain, which gets boring after a while. This map looks like a genuine satellite scan, and has all the dynamic terrain that comes with it.
I love that you can fill up a transport with multiple types of units in this game, and then again the ballistic missile spam is ruining it for me currently, even though it looks rly cool ofc.
The M1150 is definitely cool, super nice little piece of indirect artillery. Glad you went with the tube artillery but if you went with it even earlier then I think that would've been really helpful in hitting their Patriots and Counter-Battery. Obviously you were trying to hold on there and were pretty thin for some of that though.
As long as you can prove that they had hostile intent, and I assume they weren't landing UN troops for negotiations, then you can shoot paratroopers. You cannot however shoot people that have ejected from aircraft and no longer present harm.
I adore Broken Arrow, and a primary reason for this fondness is the missile system. The strategic combination of ballistic missile barrages and ground troops is extremely superb and very fun to watch, and I hope to see VulcanHDGaming utilize this tactic in future videos.
