I've never thought of using velcro for holding my electronics. Thanks for that.
Yeah it's great haha, and super easy to remove the units when you need to 👌
I subbed for this series
Nice.
I love your video Series. Watching all of them for the TT-01. Can you tell me why though that you're from brushless to brushed? Typically people upgrade from Brushed to Brushless. I have an old brushed system and wanted to keep it for ease and cost. Curious about your reasoning for your setup though.
You should upgrade the transmission to 48DP. It's much smoother
Hi! I am almost done with my vintage tt-01 (brushed) drift conversion! My question is- Tamiya Sport Tuned or Reedy Radon 2 19t for the motor? Which one would provide more torque and better control over long sweeps? I'd like to keep stock gears as I am not a pro, I just try to keep myself busy during lockdown. Thanks!
Hello Friend, great Video! Ive got exact the same setup, but witch 2s Lipo do you use (brand, mah, c-rating)? Can IT run on 3S? Thanks!
Hey, I'm really new to RC Cars, but want to try and do a little project like the Linus tech tips video they're doing with FPV camera mounted on the car and controlled with steering wheel and pedals. I would like to try to make it "comercial" what do you thing would be the best chassis and battery combo running 7 hours a day, 7 days a week and what use time I could expect from said battery. Thank you very much!
That ESC might need the capacitor upgrade
Yeah I was thinking that too. Might do a little video 🙂
@@RCEmpire_HQ I had trouble with that ESC going into a limp mode even with a Torque Tuned ..I gtta order the capacitors also
May I ask, sir. Changing the motor, is it necessary to change the speed control or not?
Hi there. It all depends on the motor really.if you're switching to a brushless motor, then yes, unless the ESC is compatible for brushed and Brushless.
but staying with brushed, you need the ESC to have a continuous AMP output, higher than the motor will draw, If the new motor starts drawing more amps than the ESC can put out, you start to get cogging ( eg, at 1.50 mins in this video ruclips.net/video/eTRSo3IhMrQ/видео.html) and issues. So that's the only time i'd upgrade the ESC is if the motor was a lot more powerful. To be honest, I wouldn't change the ESC unless I noticed it wasn't working with the motor. In most cases you can swap motors at will and the ESC will be able to handle them fine. Hope that kind of helps. what were you thinking of changing?
Great video! Do you know to debug a brushed motor that won't turn on in the very first try? It is a Mabuchi RS-540 Torque Tuned along with a Tamaya Brushless ESC 02S TBLE-02S, it is the one that comes with this chassis: shop.tamiya.de/tamiya_en/products/rc-models/rc-on-road-2-4-wd/porsche-911-gt3-cup08-tt-01e-300047429-en.html
