Miami vice was real 80s,great actors, a fabulous soundtrack, and cars and boats that were out of this world, never be another, a credit to the people who acted and the crew who put it together, great memories for me.
I was 15 when the show came out, haven't worn socks since then lol. They used to call me Crockett in school with the cotton 3/4 cuffed baggy pants and italian glove leather white shoes and baby blue tshirts and blazers, lol best yrs of my life were growing up in the 80s.
It was good seeing Talbott, Diehl, and Saundra but this was depressing. Diehl is a good actor and I am glad he stuck to his guns and left Vice when he did. I remember when he left, I thought he had to be crazy to leave at this time but it paid off big time as he has gotten good work consistently after his departure. To be honest, Diehl leaving during the 86-87 season was probably a good time as the show was starting to wane in quality and popularity. In all honesty, Talbott probably feels like he stayed too long as they did nothing with his character’s progression except give him a gambling problem.
Yes! There are tons musicians, public figures and big actors who were on that show early in their careers. Bruce Willis, Liam Neeson, Phil Collins, Michael Chiklis, Ted Nugent, G Gordon Liddy, The Fat Boys, Glenn Frey, Sheena Easton, Stanley Tucci, John Leguizamo, Helena Bonham Carter, Ian McShane, Bill Paxton, and on and on...fun to rewatch decades later and discover these appearances.

Please take me back for real ! I want to ride a daytona spider top down, on a hot summer evening on south beach streets, playing In the air tonight
It seems this pops into my feed every 6 or 7 years and I always watch it through. I'm so tempted to go Miami for the fan event in September to mark 40 years of Miami Vice. Mr. Talbott I believe will be there, and lots of character actors who guest starred. And they will have the boats and cars etc. I'm so tempted !
in my opinion, it need it to end because by the time the show end it, the world was making a slow transaction into the new decade & that would've taking away the look & feel of the 1980s that the show represented. i'm glad it did at the right time to close out the decade because by season 4 & 5 we started to see it even it still had '80s vibe. & iMean that in a good way.
