For those that say "Kanami can't shred, I give you "Honey"! Kanami just doesn't shred to show off, if it fits the song, Mincho will shred, but if not, Mincho doesn't, whatever fits the song! I've heard both versions of "Honey", and while I'll admit to being just a bit biased, I like Band-Maid's version better! I really love "Alive or Dead" too!
Yes, Honey is a cover, but they really took it up a notch. I love the riff after the opening electronic part, the chorus, and the solo! I need to listen to Alive or Dead more, it's surrounded by so much greatness that it kind of got lost in the shuffle for me. 🤣 Speaking of the World Domination album: Fate, and Carry on Living. And this one's not on that album, but it's one of my absolute favorites and doesn't get reacted to much: Brand New Road. 😄
While Honey is a cover of the original by MUCC, Band Maid imposed their distinct musical style on it. BTW MUCC are an amazing group in their own right. Honey is one of my favorite Band Maid songs, Kanami’s shredding guitar solo is one of her very best, Saiki’s vocals are great. Alive or dead is another great hard & heavy song.
Honey: they suck you in with synth washes and duck noises, then they get serious. Love those "big string" riffs; meaty beaty big and bouncy. Kanami's solo - what do you say? Just listen to Akane in the back next time, supporting her all the way. "Don't honey honey me after that!" LOL That was a cover they did for a 25th anniversary of MUCC (pronounced "mook") tribute album. Alive or Dead: foot stomping rock and roll, wouldn't break my heart if they added that to the set list this October!
Maid albums...All Killer/ No Filler. Can you think of a great band that doesn't have the odd turkey in the closet? Its uncanny how every Maid song has something to redeem it from being predictable...not just Mincho's composition...Miku's lyrics too. Absolute 🔥🤘🤘🤘
Those that don't know how to recognize mind & soul-gripping, heartfelt rockin' music the caliber Band-Maid plays are either beat-deaf, mindless zombies🧟... or are only stimulated by shallow fluff and confetti!🎊 There! I said it! Thx, 2G!
"HONEY" is the only cover song by Band-Maid as far as I know. The original song is by MUCC, Japanese all male rock band. They have a good relationship with Band-Maid and are like older brothers.
Mate! Greetings with the typhoon season really started and more hours spent at home! These two songs, called "B Sides" by some were part of an album produced 4 years ago. These songs, among others, shocked many a core fan for their departure into into real speedy magic, a proof of Kanami's real musical character. They are incredibly technical with blinding fast drums, bass, and torturing solos all blended into symphonic chaos (I will explain if needed! LOL). Singing is perfect here and terribly difficult, I would imagine! I hope they come back onto this road, especially during live concerts overseas where they do not really have to coddle their fans but provoke them into ... (no, I am not going to say it! LOL) Superb reaction from the guts! Do not worry, they have plenty more of these gems hidden inside their recorded compositions! Best regards, Robert-Gilles
These are great songs; they're on my playlist. You know,as I was listening to 2Gen's PO yesterday,I was imagining Saiki singing to it. Of course,it is great as an instrumental but just saying.
Kah Nah Mee sir. :) And you are starting to need your daily Band-Maid fix and mainlining Kanami's Solos. Of course Band-Maid is one of the BEST Addictions. And you need to get a good Rhythm guitar for the wall. A Tele maybe?
"Don't honey, honey me after that". Mincho's solo finally burst your stitches then.😆
🤣
Not forgetting Akane''s 🦶 of Fury!🌪😊
That was hilarious.
@@Bodneyblue There's something afoot going on with Akane! And I think we know what it is. 🤘🎀🤘
You've found a one-man audience in 2 GEN! He laughs at everything you say. For some reason...
Honey - proving that yes, they can kill it playing surfer punk, too.
If no one else has mentioned it P in D has some excellent Photo montages available. All set to old school BAND-MAID. Well worth a watch.
Cheers yes someone has mentioned I've yet to check it but he has welcomed me to use any of his photos I will use some for my next BM reaction
@@2genreactions Excellent.
Honey is a visual rock band from MUCC Japan.
It is also BAND-MAID's favorite band.
Ok thanks

OMG you're spoiling us 2GEN. 2 for the price of one. MUCC's "Honey" was good anyway but BAND-MAID put their lips together & blow it away.🌬
😃🤘I cant myself with these double reactions

Lol cheers Emily and I gotta check those out now probably do a double reaction 🤘
Yes, I second Emily's suggestion!! Those are all (surprise) GREAT songs!! Does Mincho write any other kind?
@@Kevin6059 Thanks, Kevin! No, I don't think she does. 😄
Carry on Living: AKANE AKANE AKANE!

This cover song by bandmaid honey is definitely better than the original! Just my opinion!👍🤘😉❤🤘
I enjoy the Band-Maid version a lot more than MUCC's original. I still want to know what Miku was saying in the spoken word section.
@@tona2517 Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

The MUCC original is thrash and punk.
I like both versions equally.
Honey is a great cover. I've heard the original too and it's a good song. Of course I like the Band Maid version better.
Mi of KanaMI has the same pronunciation as me in I, my, me.

Yes a tele for that total rock sound and I am partial to some blues music too I will eventually get one its a must for sure
