Super helpful. Had to replace 2008 drivers mirror. This video plus another mirror removal video made it easy. Good to note, reinstalling the top of the door panel takes a big of time to get it to re-seat in the right position. Also, rest the door panel on a step as I did not need to disconnect the wires (only the two mirror plug). Thanks man :).

How do you take the whole door off? I’m replacing the exterior of mine due to corrosion.
I know I'm late to comment, but the new door panel does not have the AC vent such as the one in the old one which allows air to pass to the AC vent for the rear left passenger. Your car has a four-zone AC and the new door panel came from a two-zone one.

Hi Zizo, yes good eye. Only you and 1 other person were able to catch that. I was more focused on the interior upgrades and the side vents were not the biggest priority on my list. So that’s why I ended up changing the panels on my project e550

Yes...the vent is for the Thermotronic system

Thanks for the video. How do I remove and replace the bottom door courtesy / puddle lights unit? Thanks.
There is a little cut out right by the puddle light and with a small screwdriver you just pry it out
@@MrCARman thank you again. Is this only to remove the lense or the whole unit? I want to repkace the entire unit with a logo projector light retrofit. However, I see the electric conductor is a ribbon instead of a cord or cable and that ribbon is soldered onto the light holder. Is it safe to pry the entire holder out so I may desolder and do the rest? Many thanks.
Rocky Juglall yes it’s safe to remove the whole piece. But in my experiences with using those aftermarket lights, they have never been a direct fit into the original puddle light area. The wiring will also need to be tapped into another light because you will have a red and black wire most likely to work with

@@MrCARman oh sick I have a w211 mercedes e350 wanna do a e55 rear bumper and keep the front since I don't like the big bumper and I wanted to do the interior trim change
I wouldn’t recommend changing one bumper and not the other. It’s going to make ur vehicle look out of place and make it look salvage

Check if the wiring is connected, then check window fuse. If it is still not working then check window motor and regulator

Great video. But kinda sucks to see that your going to lose the functionality of the climate control vents in the B pillars just for wood color
Hi Nate, u have a very good eye. Yes I did lose that functionality but in all reality I never really sit in the back seat. I much prefer the updated look with the dark wood over having vents on the b pillar
