A great interview with a fascinating person. One could listen to hours and hours of conversation with John Matthews. Thank you for doing this and for making it available.
An interesting interview Philip! I visited Chanctonbury when I lived in East Sussex, and I have a question. I picked up a stone from within the circle of trees and put it in my pocket. When I left and reached my car I was violently pushed from behind and fell on all fours, in the mud I might add! I put the stone in my mother's garden, and after hearing John, I now wonder if the stone, the spirit of Chanctonbury or the local group affected us in a negative way, because I had taken the stone? Blessings to you both.
You did do the right thing. Your gut instinct served your best interests! Instincta are there for a reason. Two different friends each gifted me The Druid Oracle Card decks. They are lovely. I have been using both decks together on occasion. It seemed a very natural thing to do. I have not been terribly comfortable with Taro, but feel at ease with these cards.
a truly unusual journey featuring many strange and alarming; i am glad that john managed to escape from at least one of them, something does not seem right about that particular encounter. the discussion about the cards is fascinating.

How wonderful to come upon this interview. Sincerest gratitude and thanks to Philip Carr-Gomm and John Matthews.
This is just an amazing conversation, thank you for sharing🙏😊💚
What a beautiful life story. How I wish I could find someone as John did Caitlin to live that kind of path together. Thank you for sharing 💕
You're a really good interviewer. I hope one day you can ask John about his book 'The Shidhe". What a fascinating book that was!
A really interesting interview, easy to listen to, with lots to learn.

You should ask permission to remove a stone or branch.
