Question for you. What is the purpose of the block on the the back side of your table saw sled? I see its adjustable for some reason but I can't figure out why its there. Would you mind enlightening me?
A small block of acrylic is attached to the adjustable base, which moves and fixes the adjustable base. The long block serves to unzip and tighten the extension
It is the special router bit used to cut the gluing angles in the wood. It makes the shape of a bird mouth and helps the wood pieces fit together for added strength and clamping ease. Search “bird mouth router bit”, very cool idea.

you should add a drop of epoxy to the top and bottom of the shaft to keep the assembly together.
