These recaps are one of my favorite parts of spooky season. It's a shame Twilight-Tober is almost over, but it's been a blast. And I'm looking forward to what's in store this year.
Yes! One of the best things in probably the best month of the year. @Channel Awesome, your analyses are my favorites. Research, the format, editing... everything 💖. Thank you.
Yippee, I really antipate Walter's brilliantly concise "Twilight Zone" recaps every October, without fail, though it'll be bittersweet, as it's the last retrospective of the classic series.
What helped In Praise of Pip to be so great was the fact that Jack Klugman and Bill Mumy clicked in real life and developed a father-son dynamic. Klugman also became friends with Mumy's father during the shooting. Klugman and Bill Mumy remained close friends until Klugman's death in 2012. In fact, it was Mumy who delivered eulogy at Klugman's funeral, honoring Klugman's specific wishes.
I watch these recaps every year. They bring me back to watching these episodes with my late grandfather. Lessons in the human condition shared over black and white film reels and mild terror. I miss when these tales happened two towns over at any time in my imagination
I appreciate how Walter mentions the music conductor, if the composer didn't conduct his own music, because conductors of television and motion picture scores don't get the credit that they deserve. The final sound of the music is due to their direction, even if the composer is there to supervise the conductor's work. However, that is not always the case, and the conductor then has to really make sure that they are following the composer's wishes in the manuscript. Bernard Herrmann's Vertigo score is a prime example of this, and edits did have to be made in the manuscript without Herrmann's involvement. Anyway, thank you, Walter, for mentioning the music conductor.
Hi ,I watched all these twilight zone recaps over the last 3 day..absoloutlty fantastic,I was going through a bad patch (ok now) these videos got me trough great and i learned a thing along the way.Thank you.
I love you! I didn't know you were doing this retrospective. I grew up with this series, thanks to wich I discovered my favourite writer ever, Matheson. I was preparing a retrospective in italian, too and YT suggested me thia video. ❤
30 years after Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, William Shatner guest starred in sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, which starred John Litghow. When he arrives by plane and is asked by Lithgow's character how was his flight, he replied that he saw something on the wing of the plane, to which Lithgow's character replies that same thing happened to him before. This is an obvious reference to Shatner's appearance in this episode, but also to the 80s Twilight Zone movie, in which this episode was remade as a segment, starring John Lithgow in same role as Shatner in original. Therefore, technically, they both did experience seeing something on the wing of the plane.
In his youth, before he became actor, Lee Marvin was actually a boxer so he knew very well how to act in the ring and how to move and everything which for sure helped his performance.
Another change that Season 4 brought, among others, was the fact that, apart from Albert Salmi, George Grizzard and couple of others, virtually all main roles in this season were played by new actors who never appeared on TZ previously. That brought fresh faces.
Dana Andrews and Steve Forrest had quite a different career success, despite being brothers. Andrews was a big star in the 60s, having highely successful career in both movies and television. On the other hand, despite being generally considered more talented of the two, Forrest never reached those heights and was mostly known and more successful on television, despite his TV career never reaching his brother's success.
After cartoons it was either this or I love Lucy which to this day I can’t stand. So glad the show was excellent on top of being what’s on. Helped develop my love for sci-fi/fantasy genre.
I've seen "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" more than any other episode of the series. I realized William Shatner had other acting roles when I was young around age 8 and really loved his role as this character.
October is my favorite month to binge Twilight tober and cinemassacres monster madness. Ha yall watch the actual content and I like to watch you talk about it lol
Love these twilight zone episodes I hope you continue with more horror twist shows I know it can be kiddish but maybe some goosebumps either way continue making the good content
Remember New Years Day " Zone " Marathon years ago🤗. Some of the guest stars went on to enjoy flourishing careers😉. Enjoy viewing 👀 the cars/buses/phones/Appliances/indoor-outdoorlighting of that era🤗
When this ends, Walter should at the Black Mirror episodes, which is like the UK version but more modern. And I wanna see his reaction to that first episode cause…. Ifykyk
In an eerie coincidence, a mere three months after the airing of The 30 Fathom Grave, the first of only two losses in US nuclear submarines during would occur. A structural failure would cause the USS Thresher to sink and implode during a training exercise. Obviously very different from the submarine in the Twilight Zone episode, but it's still kinda chilling to think about. How many people on the Thresher watched that episode when it aired and had no idea their own grave wouldn’t be that far off?
Heaven scenes in Cavender is Coming used props and costumes originally made for 1959 TV show Deputy Seraph, which starred Marx Brothers. During production of the pilot, questions about Chico's very obvious health problems came up and pilot was never finished. This was brothers' final project before Chico's death in 1961. Even the plot of this episode - incompetent angel trying to help lost causes - was very similar to the plot of Deputy Seraph, with Cavender character playing same role as Chico' and Harpo's characters would be playing in Deputy Seraph.
you missed, that the russian in "to serve men" was actual Chruschtschow, who often ate in the UN to fight the claims of lack of diverse food and famine in the soviet state.
Could you please do these as part of FanScription • What if Disney’s Cinderella didn’t make it to the ball (Disney’s Cinderella 1950movie) • What if Bambi's Mother survived (Disney’s Bambi) • What if Flik and Atta had children (A Bug's Life 2) • The Incredibles vs The Sinister Six (Doctor Octopus, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Sandman and Vulture) • What if DreamWorks’s Rise of the Guardians 2 happened? • What if Disney’s Tarzan and friends found an unground world with dinosaurs and a lost civilization of people who mistake Jane as a Goddess (Disney’s Tarzan 2) • What if Elsa was the main villain of Disney’s Frozen • Batman vs The Green Goblin • Spider-man vs The Joker • What if The Evil Queen (from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1937movie) had won? • What if we fixed Planet of the Apes (2001movie)
dude I love your enthusiasm explaining each episode & scene! I know this was a ton of work to do and I appreciate every single thing you have done!!! Thanks dude!!!
"Unless the main character was trapped in a sitcom or something" Dude just pitched a TZ episode I'd love to watch. Turn on the black & white filter, raid Doug's prop room and get filming bruh!

Almost who??? October is next month
I love Twilight Tober. I will randomly just get in these moods and rewatch the compilation episodes over and over again.
Thanks for watching!!
Same! Doing that exact thing now.
This channel is the reason I look forward to Oct.
I'll miss the Twilight Tober Zone. It would be nice if he continued with the 80s, 2002, and 2019 series.
Who knows he might. Let’s hope
I don't see why they wouldn't. This series garners a lot of attention every year.
I second that idea!
Agree.
Maybe tales from the crypt next?
We're nearing the end of Twilight Tober Zone folks 😢
That's sad, but I hope that Walter will eventually cover the revivals, or The Outer Limits or Night Gallery.
My air of euphoria just plummeted at the realization.
@@trinaq Another vote for either Night Gallery or The Outer Limits.
He could do the 2000s aeries of it.
I'd like him to do the 1980's Zone episodes.
I have been waiting a year for this. Rewatched the others last month to get ready.
I’ve been waiting long for this.
And it’s finally on the way.
Yippee, I really antipate Walter's brilliantly concise "Twilight Zone" recaps every October, without fail, though it'll be bittersweet, as it's the last retrospective of the classic series.

Sweet. Thanks ❤
I love this series and this TV show. It's my favorite.
I've been waiting on this 😩! It's gonna break my heart when it's over!
Now that you've done Twilight-Tober Zone, Disneycember, Dreamworksuary, and Bat May, you should do Nickuly/Aprilodeon.
@@Myself-yf5do Aprilodeon has a ring to it
Me as the Gambit : you know how loooong I’ve been waiting for this
It's only when these compilations come out that I realise that September is almost over, and spooky season is upon us!
Masterfully said :D
I watch these recaps every year. They bring me back to watching these episodes with my late grandfather. Lessons in the human condition shared over black and white film reels and mild terror. I miss when these tales happened two towns over at any time in my imagination
I just started rewatching these this week, the timing could not have been perfect!!
YES! I really look forward to this. It's a perfect little daily treat. Thank you for doing this again.
Looking forward to the new twilight tober episodes this year. You guys always give good analysis of the show.
TWILIGHT-TOBER!!!!!! 🎉
My favorite part of October .. I look forward to this all year ❤ I can’t friggin wait!!! 😊
You could do the 80s series. There's some really good ones in that too
Agreed. 'To See the Invisible Ma,' Dead Run,' 'A Small Talent for War,' all excellent. But there are some real stinkers in there, too.
I just this morning remembered it was almost time for Twilight Tober Zone and got super excited!
Waiting for Twitober zone 2024
Every October I binge watch all the twighlight tober zones.
These compilations are-AWESOME- I appreciate the time and care put into creating these…I grew up watching these episodes…thanks so much 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🖤🧡
Glad you like them!!
I absolutely love these videos . Another year I have to fall asleep to . Thanks ❤

Thanks for this compilation!

So many episodes of the Twilight Zone give me goosebumps. I probably know them all by heart, word for word, and they still give me goosebumps.
Yes, I have been waiting for this since the start of September.
I love you! I didn't know you were doing this retrospective. I grew up with this series, thanks to wich I discovered my favourite writer ever, Matheson. I was preparing a retrospective in italian, too and YT suggested me thia video. ❤
Jess-Belle is still one of my favorites, and has so many undertones to it.
Please do The Outer Limits next year!

I loved that bit!
Shatner as The Big Giant Head 😂
Walter is an amazing talent hearing him is great i hope he never stops🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

In Praise of Pip is one of my favorites its so beautiful and underated.
Almost five hours of twilight zone?! YES PLEASE

When I get through watching these amazing recaps, I find myself adding "in the Twilight Zone" to random sentences.

Hell yeah!

33:42 "you bastards"
Lmao, that fully took me out🤣
It'd be fun to see your opinion on the 80's episodes.
The changing of the guard reminded me of my former high school teacher who became like a second mom to me
11:14 here's the "Wheeeeehehee" button 🤣
Its coming

Fun Fact: In the radio adaptation, Oliver Crangle gets mistaken for a nut by Pete and is DEVOURED! (Mwahahahaha!)
YESSSSS
When this ends, Walter should at the Black Mirror episodes, which is like the UK version but more modern. And I wanna see his reaction to that first episode cause…. Ifykyk
The irony of Four O'Clock is that Theodore Bikel himself was a victim of McCarthyism and was blacklisted for several years.
Good information. Thank you ❤
Long Live Twilight-Tober Zone!
George Grizzard at least managed to bounce back after the cataclism called The Chaser with more then decent performance in In His Image.

Hello there. Will you do a 2024 compilation?
Love these, sooo much work. Jolly well done. Does anyone know the piano music in the background. Plz @2.45ish
ill look for the ones I havent seen yet thanks! also whens the new one?

I wonder if Rod Serling's other television series, Night Gallery, will be covered after The Twilight Zone.
Today is Christmas and Rod Serling was born 100 years ago.
Cant find the free full episodes anywhere on here!
It comes around quickly, doesn't it?
For the algorithm
Have you ever thought about doing this for tales from the crypt? I think that would go over really well. 🙏
Are there 31 episodes left in the series?!
you missed, that the russian in "to serve men" was actual Chruschtschow, who often ate in the UN to fight the claims of lack of diverse food and famine in the soviet state.
Could you please do these as part of FanScription
• What if Disney’s Cinderella didn’t make it to the ball (Disney’s Cinderella 1950movie)
• What if Bambi's Mother survived (Disney’s Bambi)
• What if Flik and Atta had children (A Bug's Life 2)
• The Incredibles vs The Sinister Six (Doctor Octopus, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Sandman and Vulture)
• What if DreamWorks’s Rise of the Guardians 2 happened?
• What if Disney’s Tarzan and friends found an unground world with dinosaurs and a lost civilization of people who mistake Jane as a Goddess (Disney’s Tarzan 2)
• What if Elsa was the main villain of Disney’s Frozen
• Batman vs The Green Goblin
• Spider-man vs The Joker
• What if The Evil Queen (from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1937movie) had won?
• What if we fixed Planet of the Apes (2001movie)
If you need another series to review after TwilightToberZone ends, my vote is The Three Stooges!
The Jesse Bell cat was cute. He looked so sweet and tame like who would shoot him.
Are we getting a double-feature for the last day, covering the last 2 episodes?
We control the horizonal wait that's the other one.
After you finish the original series are you gonna cover the redos like the one on Syfy and the other one I can’t remember when it happened?
Jess- belle is my favorite episode
dude I love your enthusiasm explaining each episode & scene!
I know this was a ton of work to do and I appreciate every single thing
you have done!!! Thanks dude!!!
Huh I thought you could of done the show revivals in the future like 80s 2000s and late 2010s but I guess it’s tiring
In…….The Toilet Zone. Lol. Sorry. LOVE Rod Serling and my beloved Zone. Night of the Meek changed me
Apparently, after finding out that Twilight Tober is ending, leaves me to wonder what will happen next.
Isn't Veronica Cartright Angela Cartright's sister?
Yes
Well, technically, panther is a subspecie of leopard.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Spooky
The Twilight Zoo-in
"Unless the main character was trapped in a sitcom or something" Dude just pitched a TZ episode I'd love to watch. Turn on the black & white filter, raid Doug's prop room and get filming bruh!
That episode “4 o’clock” was the first cancel culture.
What?!... no Harlan Ellison written episode?! Lol 😮😢 😅.
Doesn't seem like you even like the Twilight Zone.
Am I really first?
